According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, residents of the northwest Atlanta area where the studio is located are concerned about the violence that has taken place around Street Execs. Charley Jabaley, the studio’s owner, faced criticism from the Underwood Hills Neighborhood Association in the past, and one Atlanta City councilman that lives in the neighborhood now wants the studio shut down.

“After giving them a second chance, now I’m on the side of the community where we were before in saying this type of activity cannot be in our neighborhoods,” Councilman Andre Dickens told AJC.

There have been reports of a higher level of criminal activity in the area since Street Execs opened on Defoor Place. On average, the Atlanta police department received a 911 call every four days in the last three months of 2015. The complaints included shootings, assaults, car break-ins, and other alleged crimes.

Street Execs Studios has provided recording space for artists such as 2 Chainz, Travis Porter, Young Dolph, and Cap1.

can you blame them? if you live in that area with kids the last thing you want is for your kid to catch a stray one and be killed.

No reason for those residents to suffer because people don’t know how to act.

  • Anthony Mason

I hate this bulls*** with all these rappers getting killed. Every other damn week. Smh…

    • #Mr.Toadman AKA Toastman

Its for reasons fam. These rappers be talkin shit to real Gs in the streets and they think they bullet proof. Theres always a reason y these fools keep gettin popped

      • Anthony Mason

I get that… but with that in mind real street niggas need to chill and stop hunting these little niggas like deer because they say some stupid sideways s***. 50 shots? • #Mr.Toadman AKA Toastman

Straight up . 50 shots? This dude probably robbed someone he shouldnt have

      • Gasner Duke-Diesel

50 shots is like a war zone like with return fire. I doubt the sent 50 shots his way. Someone need to come clean with this story.

      • Anthony Mason

        Who knows…

    • Inmadopicouroz✓QUEENSᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

u dont see a rising country singer getting shot. black people need to change the culture with guns and violence.

      • Anthony Mason

Most country singers aren’t from the hood bruh. The culture will never change in hip hop though for the better now. It has been infiltrated totally. It will just get gayer and more violent…

Most mainstream sellout rappers support the ignorant gutter f***ery that the rest of the music world wont because they are starving, hopeless and want “a check”.

Some of them niggas don’t even have a checking account carrying $50k knots on them like some retards talking about a check. Credit f***ed up and everything buying $1000 belts and get evicted the next week….

      • Inmadopicouroz✓QUEENSᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Young rides horses through Atlanta. Vladtv lol

      • Inmadopicouroz✓QUEENSᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

      • Gasner Duke-Diesel

Not just thuger half the rappers went the gay route for that no talent fame and wealth deal.

    • Gasner Duke-Diesel

Im not one to talk about whats really going on in the industry but its crazy how in the past 3 years so many rising rappers affiliated to bigger rappers getting wacked.

      • Anthony Mason

Oh so you at least notice the pattern don’t you? Where there is smoke there is fire my dude. So whatever you are thinking instinctively ….I would trust it before you believe the tabloids…

Cost of fame is deep now bruh…

      • Gasner Duke-Diesel

For real and hard to deny it.

  • Close that shit. let em record in their closet.

  • STEPH

Should have been closed. Kids walking to school seeing crime tape and shit WTF smh.

  • Close that joint. A murder at your establishment pretty much explains what’s going on there.

    • Gasner Duke-Diesel

Jay you been good since that time I called you out..anyway I was just messing with you and I apologize .. what do you think about these underground rappers who are affiliated with bigger name rappers getting killed? Im talking about Doe b -TI. lil Snupe -Meek. Chinx-Montana. Now Bankroll-2 Chainz alot of people think its some sort of sacrifice and Im starting to think about that.

      • It’s all good dude. I don’t hold grudges. I apologize for any static I caused.

That’s a unique perspective. I never thought about it like that. I don’t know if I would say it’s a sacrifice but they are definitely doing the dirty work for those more popular artists. That can’t be a coincidence. Maybe there’s like a street team that these cats have to go at people or grind out grimy situations. And when those cats show up as their representatives, they become the face of the static and get popped in the process. It’s 100% speculation on my part but it definitely is odd now that you mention it.

      • Gasner Duke-Diesel

Yeah definitely not a coincidence but unfortunately we may never know exactly whats happening.

      • Gasner Duke-Diesel

Jay you’re my buddy now homie. I’ll see you on the next hot topic.

      • Gasner Duke-Diesel

Oh I forgot to mention Stack Bundles he was affiliated with Jims Jones. Stack in my opinion was top 3 best rapper ever every song was a banger.

      • Its not strange the lesser known artists get shot.

They have the recognition to an extent but are still with one leg in the streets.

      • Gasner Duke-Diesel

        Good point.

  • In Black America Radio

“Street Execs Studios has provided recording space for artists such as 2 Chainz, Travis Porter, Young Dolph, and Cap1.”

with Cap 1 Being an exception cause i dont know………………..what do these guys have in common outside of the studio? All are either on drugs but def promote drugs. A lot of these crimes and shootings are done by junkies………………so how is closing the studio gonna “stop” something? how bout some of that 1 billion barack is fighting to help white america’s drug epidemic be used to help with the drug problem In Black America

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

      • In Black America Radio

A lot of these crimes and shootings are done by junkies……………… key word being A LOT

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

When we stop accepting violence in our communities and speak up is when this kind of madness will stop.

  • I_AM_Houston

They need to build them a little commerical building or rent one somewhere downtown where you wont have this happening. Some place with more businesses around so it wont be as likely for someone to shoot like that….I wonder what dude did to have that many shots sent his way though.

    • Gasner Duke-Diesel

True that. You can have a studio all by itselt especially hip hop comes with beef. 50 shots is unheard of. I wonder is there was some returned fire. Still tomany shots even if it was a shoot out.

      • I_AM_Houston

Idk I havnt heard any updated reports. I know a few ppl in the city and they dont seem to have heard much of anything either.

      • Gasner Duke-Diesel

Thats that no snitching street code. The streets have some crazy codes smh.

  • Consistent

You never see McDonalds closed down after a shooting in their parking lot…when people get shot waiting on Jordans in front of Foot Locker no one screams,”close the Foot Locker!” People get shot up at gas stations ALL THE TIME,how many gas stations get petitioned for closure? It’s just understood that beef FOLLOWED people there,it wasn’t created there. But when it’s minority owned, the owner is somehow responsible for the madness OTHER people are involved in.

  • The Legendary Troll

lol. id just relocate to a better area
