Revered Hip-Hop duo Mos Def and Talib Kweli will reunite as Black Star during an intimate performance in New York’s Time Square.

The pair will run through a number of their classic tracks as Black Star during two performances at The Nokia Theater in May.

The shows come as both rappers prepare to release new albums, with Mos delivering a new reelase this June, while Kweli prepares the debut release from his group Idle Warship, which features Res and Graph.

The concert is being produced by Kweli and Corey Smyth’s Blacksmith Music, along with LiveNDirect Entertainment.

“It is very exciting to be working with Corey again,” LiveNDirect CEO Peter Oasis said. “We are thrilled to be teaming up to produce a large-scale event in Times Square.”

“Collaborating with Peter Oasis is always fun, and doing a Black Star reunion show in New York is a no brainer,” Smyth told AllHipHop.com in a statement.

Tickets go on sale today (March 27) at noon for both performances, which take place May 30th.

Tickets are available through The Nokia Theater and Ticketmaster.
