(AllHipHop News) The lineup of performers for the historic 30th Anniversary of Supreme Promotions’ annual dancehall and reggae concert series Sting just . Wyclef Jean has been added to the list of performers at Bring The Sting.
Wyclef joins an already star studded line up including 2 Chainz, Romain Virgo, Lady Saw and Super Cat doing his first performance at Sting since his performance in 1992. Wyclef told AllHipHop.com “The thing about me, 2 Chainz just like when Biggie and Foxy Brown, there’s always been a relationship with mother & father or brother & sister with Hip-Hop and Reggae, especially with Sting because Sting influences the local crowd, so when they bring you in, that’s the people that the streets are feeling.”
This year’s Sting event will take concert viewership into Sting will provide pay-per-view live streaming and social media interaction. Fans will have online access to vote for their favorite performers; capability of 4 to 9 cameras to view the action; and the ability to express their opinions live as the music happens.
Sting has hosted a few legendary Hip Hop acts over its 30 year history, including Biggie Small, DMX, Kris Kross, Busta Rhymes, Foxy Brown, and Fat Boyz. Wyclef adds, “I’m definitely excited to be at Sting. I’ve done many shows in Jamaica, it’s like being back home for me, it’s like being in Port Of Prince (Haiti).”
The event will be in High Definition and will be distributed live on Pay-Per-View by MultiVision Media, Inc. on Thursday, December 26 at 12 midnight ET/9:00 PM PT at www.bringthesting.com. The price for the eight-hour streaming internet broadcast is $39.95 (early bird pricing $34.95).
