(AllHipHop News) Kendrick Lamar’s sophomore major label album To Pimp A Butterfly broke streaming records, received universal critical acclaim, and topped the album chart. As the LP prepares to spend a second week at number one, singles from the project are also charting.

K. Dot had six separate songs break onto Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart. “King Kunta” (61), “The Blacker The Berry” (66), “Alright” (83), “Wesley’s Theory” (91), “These Walls” (94), and “Institutionalized” (99) all debuted on the list of the hottest singles in the country.
The TDE rapper also took over Billboard‘s Artist 100 chart. His jump from 82 to 1 is the largest leap to the number one spot in the chart’s history.
Kendrick ended Taylor Swift’s reign in the tally’s lead position. He is only the second rapper to reach number one on the Artist 100. Drake held the top spot in February.
