According to the publication, Fetty is the first male rapper since Em in 2013 to have three songs in the top 20. “My Way” jumped from 87 to 7. The track joined “Trap Queen” (#6) and “679” (#18) as one of the hottest 20 singles in the country. Eminem achieved that milestone in 2013 with “The Monster,” “Rap God,” and “Berzerk.”
Fetty is also the first male rapper as a lead act to have two Top 10 singles at the same time in four years. It was last done by Lil Wayne with “She Will” and “How to Love” in 2011. The last time a male rapper had two Top 10 songs at the same time was Drake in 2013. The OVO leader’s “Started From the Bottom” sat at #7, and he was featured on Wayne’s #9 song “Love Me.”
The top of the Hot 100 is currently filled with Rap and R&B acts. Omi’s “Cheerleader” takes the pole position, followed by The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” at #2 and Silento’s “Watch Me” at #3. Wiz Khalifa’s smash record “See You Again” lands at #5 with Fetty Wap occupying the next two spots.
