The Weeknd’s “The Hills” Again Blocks Drake’s “Hotline Bling” From Hitting #1

ADELE IS LOOKING TO COMPETE FOR THE TOP SPOT NEXT WEEK

(AllHipHop News) Drake really wanted his latest single “Hotline Bling” to reach #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The leader of October’s Very Own expressed on Instagram that he wanted the song to be his first chart topper, but fellow Canadian artist The Weeknd once again holds Drizzy off from taking the top spot.

“I have never had a Billboard number one,” wrote Drake on IG. “If I get my first number one during the month of October it will be the biggest moment of my career to date (in my mind) and if you are looking for me on that particular evening I will be passed out in the water slide that connects to our pool.

“Hotline Bling” will not make it to #1 this October. Billboard reports The Weeknd’s “The Hills” is set to reign over the Hot 100 for the sixth week. Drake will once again land at #2.

Will “Hotline Bling” make it to the pinnacle next week? Not only will Drake have to compete against The Weeknd for #1, but they both will face off with Adele’s new ballad “Hello.” The British songstress is on pace to have the largest U.S digital sales week in history.
