(AllHipHop News) Kanye West recently unleashed a riptide of controversy when he changed the name of his album to WAVES. After deeming Max B as “the wavy one,” Wiz Khalifa would endure an online assault, which was launched by West’s twitter fingers. Being the business-minded entertainer that he is, Dame Grease, decided to capitalize on the attention caused by the social media squabble.
Yesterday (Jan. 27), through Audiomack, Dame dropped “My Wave (A Message For Kanye West).” The re-released track contains a verse from Max B. Back in 2011 the track’s original version made its YouTube début. The 2016 offering contains a crooning Max B who challenges, “can’t keep taking my wave,” over the Pharcyde’s “Runnin'” instrumental. Neither West, nor Wiz, are mentioned on the song, but the incarcerated Max B’s official twitter contained the following tweet that mentioned,“Im truly flattered by all the emulations…”
“I HAD THT SONG RECORDED FOR A SEC,A LONG WIT OTHERS,SEEMS APPROPRIATE TO LEAK RYTE NOW,” is what Dame told his Twitter followers. The Harlem beatsmith would soon give insight into his actions. He then added, “JUST PUT THE HOMIE ON IT & MAKE NEW HISTORY! #WAVES.”

Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him.
