(AllHipHop News) Seminal West Coast rap group N.W.A was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this month. The Straight Outta Compton album creators joined fellow Hip Hop representatives Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Run-DMC, Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy. However, KISS member Gene Simmons has been very vocal about rap stars not being included in the Rock & Roll museum in Cleveland.

Simmons and N.W.A member Ice Cube exchanged words about rappers in the Rock Hall via Twitter after the induction ceremony. Cube then went on The Howard Stern Show where he addressed the issue further.
“I think he believes it’s straight for rock and rollers,” said Cube. “I got a lot of respect for Gene Simmons. I’ve met him a couple of times. He’s actually pretty cool, but I just think he’s wrong on this.”
He continued, “Everybody’s got their own opinions. Gene is an OG in the game, but he’s just wrong on this. It’s a spirit, and it’s been going on before they called it Rock & Roll.”
