Centric TV and LeToya Luckett hosted a “Single Ladies” Sip & Share: A Beyond Brunch Experience” this weekend at the W Hotel Midtown in Atlanta. Luckett and designer Anthony Williams both showcased the new season of “Single Ladies” (which is moving to Centric) and all the fashion the fans love from the show. Luckett also stated that her character, Felicia, is woman of power that demands respect. Centric has now reemerged as the first network for Black Women; this is a bold new move for the network! Black women have gone a long time unheard, and the network has made it a priority to celebrate the diversity of the Black woman. Centric stated that they didn’t “arrive” overnight with the new format but instead they started months ago with field research. Centric representatives interviewed a diverse group of Black women from all age groups. According to the network, Black women wanted to see themselves represented and represented in a holistic way. This lead to Centric proclaiming its commitment to realize that women are stars, and stars are real women. Centric plans to represent the Black woman from the boardroom to the bedroom. It is also a goal of the network to create a new identity space without judgment, but instead with style and grace in all aspects. It is exciting to see Centric reemerge with this format as this type of content deserves a space available on all platforms 365.
