The Wu-Tang Clan’s members have quite the expansive discography, including Raekwon’s ’95 debut ‘Only Built 4 Cuban Linx’ album. This year Raekwon and Ghostface Killah celebrated the 20th anniversary of the album by releasing a documentary, The Purple Tape Files, that chronicles the historic Hip Hop masterpiece.
AllHipHop caught up with LL Cool J at the LA screening of the documentary to discuss his reasoning for coming out to support Raekwon and the documentary.
“I’m just supporting Rae. Obviously I’m a fan of the whole album. Everything he does I’m a fan of it. I love the whole Wu. Love what Rae does. I’ve always loved his slang. I’ve always loved his lyrics, the way he jumps on the tracks and does what he does. I just had to be here,” said LL.
