Guerilla Union held their traditional Rock The Bells press conference at the infamous House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood to announce the lineup for it’s upcoming 10th Anniversary show. Hosted by Peter Rosenberg of New York’s Hot 97 and Rikki Martinez of Los Angeles’ Power 106, the press conference started off with a bang as freestyle-battle phenom Supernatural introduced the entire Rock The Bells lineup in freestyle form. Guerilla Union head honcho Chang Weisberg then dropped one of the biggest bombshells of the year as he informed the audience that Rock the Bells will be featuring what he described as “original digital performances” by late deceased rappers Eazy-E and Ol’ Dirty Bastard. Both Tomica Wright (the widow of Eric “Eazy-E” Wright) and Cherry Jones (the mother of Ol’ Dirty Bastard) were in attendance to voice their approval of the music festival’s usage of the iconic rappers images. The announcement took many by surprise, including artists like Wish-Bone of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who revealed that he had no prior knowledge of the group’s performance with the Eazy-E hologram before it was revealed at the press conference. Top Dawg Entertainment was represented by Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q, as Black Hippy will once again play a major role at a Guerilla Union event. Masta Killa and U-God were on hand to represent the Wu-Tang Clan as the group returns to the music festival for the second time in two years. Tech N9ne and Jhene Aiko along with the 5 Bone Thugs-N-Harmony members, rounded out the panel. AllHipHop.com was in the house to be a part of the press conference and to enjoy the night’s festivities. Check out our picture gallery below!
