(AllHipHop News) Ab-Soul is preparing to release his debut album These Days… on June 24th and is using one tool as his promotion: bars. In a recent freestyle session on Statik Selektah’s ShowOff Radio, the Black Lip Pastor details how he’s “Lupe Fiasco on drugs”, early memories with Top Dawg Entertainment and more.
Ab-Soul recently collaborated with Lupe Fiasco on the song “Thorns and Horns”. During the freestyle he opens up about an epiphany he had in regards to his similarities to Lupe:
It’s just a little inception to get your thoughts processing on the way to the club/I figured it out, I’m Lupe Fiasco on drugs/No religious preference, just bundles of love.
Ab-Soul first scheduled performance after the release of These Days… is at the Village Voice’s 4Knots Music Festival after party at Webster Hall on July 12th.
