(AllHipHop News) It appears that Drake is on his way to having the second biggest first week sales numbers of 2013. The Young Money performer is projected to sell more than 670,000 copies of his latest album Nothing Was The Same according to a report by Billboard.

If those numbers hold up, Drake would surpass the opening sales of Jay Z’s Magna Carta Holy Grail (528,000) as the year’s second highest tally. Only Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience made a bigger splash when it pushed 968,000 units in its first week.
Those totals will easily put NWTS in the top spot on the Billboard 200 album chart. This will be the “Started From The Bottom” rapper’s third number one album after 2010’s Thank Me Later and 2011’s Take Care. Drake would join Jay Z, A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, Wale, and J. Cole as the only Hip Hop artists to have a #1 album this year.
