(AllHipHop News) The playoff series between the Toronto Raptors and the Brooklyn Nets was seen by many as a proxy battle between T-Dot’s Drake and BK’s Jay Z.
Drizzy and Jigga had been throwing shots at each other in recent weeks. Jay called the Young Money rapper “Mrs. Drizzy” on his “We Made It” verse, and Drake made a reference to the Roc Nation boss eating fondue at a previous basketball game.

With the Nets topping the Raptors in game seven, it seems the war of words between Jay and Drake has calmed down a bit. Both rappers showed respect to the other’s team on social media.
Jay made an extremely rare appearance on Twitter to congratulate Toronto.
Congrats Toronto on a hard fought series. #spreadloveitsthebrooklynway

Drake returned the respect on Instagram with the caption, “Incredible year! Incredible team! Congrats to Brooklyn for advancing. #416#NorthernUprising.”
While the “Light Up” and “Pound Cake” collaborators seemed to take the high road after the Nets moved on to the second round, Drake’s longtime producing partner and fellow Toronto native Boi-1da was not feeling his hometown being bounced from the postseason or Jay’s tweet shout out.
“@S_C_: Congrats Toronto on a hard fought series. #spreadloveitsthebrooklynway” were good, thanks anyway.

I’m a poor sport, I hate losing. Hence why I’m always winning.
