Kanye West Gives Fans Another Chance To Buy His Jewels

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West has made his sold-out jewelry line available for purchase at a popular Parisian retail store.

The “Flashing Lights” hitmaker released his debut collection of bling back in April in collaboration with top jewelry maker Jacob Arabo, a legend among hip-hop circles, also known as Jacob the Jeweler, who has serviced rap royalty such as LL Cool J, Jay-Z and The Notorious B.I.G. since the 1990s.

The flashy ornaments sold out quickly after the release, but now fans have been given a second chance to purchase all 10 pieces in Paris, France at boutique shop Colette.

The jewelry is also up for sale at the retailer’s website, with prices ranging from $2,479 to $22,077 per item.

While promoting the initial release of his first-ever jewelry collection, Kanye revealed he and his partner Jacob dug deep into Italian art history while crafting the line.

The dynamic duo found inspiration from 14th century Florentine art, like Donatello’s bas-relief portrait, throughout the design process.

“I wanted to create something that represented timeless love,” Kanye told U.S. Vogue of the concept behind the classical pieces.

Drake Invests His Rap Money In Matched Tea Brand

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Drake has swapped Cristal for matcha tea, as the rapper has been revealed as a major investor in a rapidly expanding energy drink brand.

According to editors at Esquire magazine, the “Hotline Bling” star is one of the main investors in brand MatchaBar, which has recently expanded with a new location in Los Angeles and is partnering with Whole Foods to release its Better Energy bottled matcha drink.

Matcha is a powdered green tea much loved by health and wellness enthusiasts.

Former music executive and CEO Graham Fortgang, who co-founded the company with his brother Max, revealed the 30-year-old is one of the company’s main investors.

“Max and I are really thrilled about Drake’s involvement, inspired by his hustle and what he’s done in the music world,” Fortgang told Esquire. “So to have someone like him invest in our brand, we’re really humbled by his decision to get behind our ‘Better Energy’ platform.”

There have already been few sightings of the beverage on Drake’s social media accounts.

The music star is a renowned fitness enthusiast who also regularly posts clips of his gym workouts.

News of his business venture comes after the Canadian rapper also teased the launch of his flagship OVO store in Yorkdale Mall, Toronto, in a new video clip posted online.

Drake shared a luxe short clip featuring his track Gyalchester to promote the launch of the shop.

In the video, the “Controlla” singer is seen cruising through the mall on top of a black Escalade SUV with his crew wearing head-to-toe OVO clothing from his fashion line.

The new store, OVO’s fourth in north America, is set to launch on Saturday in time for the eighth annual OVO Fest on at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on August 7.

PARTYNEXTDOOR, Roy Woods, Majid Jordan, dvsn, and Drake will perform.

Officials In Georgia Want To Ban R. Kelly’s Show

(AllHipHop News) Officials in Georgia have reportedly asked bosses at Live Nation to cancel R. Kelly’s concert later this month as he continues to battle sex “cult” allegations.

The “I Believe I Can Fly” hitmaker is facing allegations he manipulated several women into coercive sexual relationships.

Kelly has already axed four U.S. tour dates in Louisiana, Texas, and California, and now Fulton County commissioners are being asked by protesters to revoke the contract with Live Nation for the August 25 show at Wolf Creek Amphitheater.

“If our demands are not met, we’re prepared to protest the concert,” activist Kenyette Tisha Barnes says.

County attorneys will reportedly send a request to Live Nation bosses, but a spokesperson explains the decision to pull the show lies with concert promoters, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Last Friday (July 28), Kelly performed for the first time since the claims were first published by BuzzFeed News.

However, the singer took to the stage in front of a half-full Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia and Kelly’s team canceled the subsequent shows due to poor ticket sales.

The 50-year-old R&B star is facing accusations from two sets of parents he has brainwashed their daughters and other women into “cult” like behavior, and that he records his sexual encounters with them. He has strongly denied all the allegations.

The singer has reportedly hired a crisis management team to handle the accusations, including Monique Pressley, the lawyer who initially advised Bill Cosby after he was accused of sexual assault. Pressley quit Cosby’s legal team last year.

In a previous statement to the New York Post’s Page Six, Kelly’s publicist Trevian Kutti repeated Kelly’s stance on the controversy, insisting the singer would “work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.”

Billboard reports the current #76 position for Beauty means the LP has spent 100 consecutive weeks on the chart.

Since its August 2015 release, the Weeknd’s second studio album has collected 3.7 million equivalent album units and 2.05 billion on-demand audio song streams.

Four singles from Beauty Behind the Madness – “Earned It,” “The Hills,” “Can’t Feel My Face,” and “In The Night” – broke into the Top 20 on the Hot 100 chart.

“The Hills” spent six consecutive weeks at number one, and “Can’t Feel My Face” stayed in the leading spot for three non-consecutive weeks.

New ‘Tales’ Episodes Will Be Based On Songs By Fetty Wap, Jay-Z, Slick Rick & Method Man

(AllHipHop News) The initial 3-episode run of the Hip Hop anthology TV series Tales drew inspiration from records by N.W.A, The Notorious B.I.G., and Meek Mill.

Irv Gotti’s one-hour scripted drama is returning to BET on October 10, and the new shows will be based on tunes from more rap stars.

The upcoming narratives were influenced by Fetty Wap’s “Trap Queen,” Jay-Z’s “99 Problems”, Slick Rick’s “Children’s Story,” and Method Man’s “I’ll Be There for You/You’re All I Need to Get By” featuring Mary J. Blige.

No Bail For Rapper Kidd Creole Over Homeless Man’s Murder

(AllHipHop News) Rap veteran Kidd Creole has been held without bail following his arraignment on a second-degree murder charge.

The Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five star, real name Nathaniel Glover, was arrested on Wednesday in connection to the fatal stabbing of homeless John Jolly, a registered sex offender, in New York City.

He appeared before a Manhattan criminal court judge on Thursday, when Assistant District Attorney Mark Dahl claimed Glover had become “infuriated” because he thought the vagrant was gay and making a move on him.

The 57-year-old reportedly feared Jolly would try and rob him, so he pulled out a steak knife he had strapped to his arm and attacked the man.

Jolly, 55, sustained two stab wounds to the chest and was later hospitalized, where he was declared dead.

Glover, who had headed straight to work at a building nearby following the confrontation, remained quiet as Dahl recounted the incident in detail to demonstrate “the strength of the case” reports the Associated Press.

The suspect allegedly told Dahl he had washed the blood off the knife at his workplace, and had left his job early, tossing the weapon into a sewer as he headed home.

However, defense lawyer Patrick Watts questioned the prosecutor’s account, declaring the evidence is all “circumstantial.”

Glover, who was previously arrested in 2007 for possession of a gravity knife, was returned to his jail cell without bail following the arraignment hearing.

Who Originated Trap Music?

(AllHipHop Rumors) There has been a lot of talk about trap music lately.

I mean 21 Savage said that trap music can only come out of Atlanta, which is interesting in itself.

In an interview with Montreality, the self-proclaimed King of the South, T.I. decided to speak up and take credit for starting this thang [sub-genre] called trap music!

“Whose album was ‘Trap Muzik’? Who had an album named ‘Trap Muzik’ I’m asking? Well that’s who started it. Unless there was a time before then that you recall hearing it. Now since it was introduced to the world there were people who came on and enforced it and kind of spread the genre out and gave it wings and life beyond it’s origin. But if you go back to who truly started it, I must humbly say myself,” said Tip.

Do you feel like T.I. was the originator of trap music, or was it already a thing before him?

Footage Of Kanye West’s 2016 Breakdown May Leak

(AllHipHop Rumors) Apparently Kanye West’s nasty legal battle with his insurance company is going to cause a bit of details to leak out publicly.

According to In Touch, Kim Kardashian has also secretly testified under oath on behalf of her husband’s November 2016 breakdown and hospitalization.

The insurance company is refusing to pay up because they believe his breakdown was brought on by drugs!

Ye filed a lawsuit against insurer Lloyd’s of London on Aug. 1, claiming breach of contract and asking for a jury trial.

According to an inside source,

“Kanye wanted the insurance to pay $10,812,997.09 plus fees for the cancellations.”

The insurance company is denying the payout, and Kanye is prepared to fight.

That’s not all though!

Apparently the battle with the insurance company also involves some video footage that Ye’s team is afraid could ruin Ye’s marriage to Kim.

“More than 20 hours of video was taken of Kanye during the four days leading up to his hospitalization, and you see the deterioration of his condition and his mental breakdown,” said the source.

When Kim testified under oath, she was allegedly questioned about Kanye taking percocet with a valid prescription.

Yeezy’s lawyers are arguing that he should get the payout because his doctors determined that he was unable to perform. Well, it sounds like this insurance company is doing what insurance companies do best, trying not to pay people.

But with an insurance claim that big, I mean you would have to expect there to be some due diligence and opposition.

I’m nervous to see this alleged footage that may leak. Wishing you well Kanye!

Usher’s Wife Reportedly Standing By The Singer During $20 Million STD Lawsuit

(AllHipHop News) It’s been a rough couple of weeks for Usher Raymond.

An unnamed woman filed a reported $20 million lawsuit claiming the “U Got It Bad” singer gave her herpes after having sex with him at least twice this year.

Usher has been married to Grace Miguel since September 2015.

According to TMZ, Miguel is not concerned about these STD allegations.

The website’s sources suggested “Jane Doe” was a friend of Usher’s ex-wife Tameka Harris and he believes the suit is just part of a long-standing grudge.

That alleged bad blood playing a part in the situation is supposedly the reason Grace is standing by her husband.

Meanwhile, Usher was added to the August 3 date for Dave Chappelle’s stand-up comedy residency at Radio City Music Hall.
