EXCLUSIVE: Suge Knight’s Old Lawyer Facing 500 Years In Prison Over Massive Fraud

(AllHipHop News) Marion “Suge” Knight’s former attorney could be looking at five life sentences in prison for his role in massive scheme to steal millions of dollars from the Federal government.

Just weeks after Thaddeus Culpepper was arrested for trying to bribe a witness for Suge, the lawyer was busted for more felonious activity.

In October of 2018, Federal prosecutors charged Thaddeus Culpepper and held him without bail after he “had the audacity” to deposit a fraudulent $1 million check.

The Feds say Culpepper was involved in an ongoing scheme between April 2015 and August 2017, in which he opened three different lawyer trust accounts at three different banks.

Culpepper allegedly deposited a total of $1,312,272.21 in 21 phony tax refund checks, including a single check for $1,003,814.

The disgraced lawyer was supposedly out working his scam, just weeks after he became the target of law enforcement in the high-profile murder case involving Marion “Suge” Knight.

In 2015, Suge Knight was charged with the murder of a man named Terry Carter, who was run over by the Death Row Records’ founder during a dustup with Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and others as they shot a promotional spot for the movie “Straight Outta Compton.”

Thaddeus Culpepper was one of the 15 lawyers Suge employed to mount his defense.

In January of 2018, Culpepper and another lawyer were busted for working with Suge to bribe witnesses to provide testimony in favor of the rap mogul.

In September of 2018, Suge ended up taking a plea deal in return for a 28-year-sentence for the murder of Carter.

Thaddeus Culpepper could be facing way more time than his former client Suge Knight.

He is already facing three years for witness tampering charges over his involvement in the Suge Knight case.

Now he’s facing 500 years in prison for 7 counts of bank fraud, 1 count of aggravated identity theft, 17 counts of theft of government property, and 17 counts of passing forged Treasury checks.

Thaddeus Culpepper is planning to go to trial on March 10th, 2020.

This Legendary Female MC Is With T.I.’s Hymen Check!

T.I. caused a social media uproar when he announced he visits his 18-year-old daughter’s gynecologist appointments with her. He said he wants to make sure she is still a virgin, but ensures it’s out of love and protection.

Many expressed their concerns calling the rapper controlling and saying his decision was an invasion of privacy. Well, Rah Digga has stepped in to support T.I. and has posted a series of tweets emphasizing how ridiculous it is that New York will place a “purity exam” stopping doctors from doing virginity checks!

https://twitter.com/therealrahdigga/status/1201202520087027713

Digga didn’t stop there.

She continued her Twitter debate, even revealing that she visited the doctor with her daughter for her gynecologist appointments too!

What do y’all think? Is T.I. still cancelled in 2019? Did Rah state facts or is she in the same boat as T.I.?

John Singleton’s Daughter Gets Allowance From Estate To Continue Her Education

(AllHipHop News) John Singleton’s 21-year-old daughter Cleopatra has been granted a monthly allowance from her late dad’s estate.

The “Boyz n the Hood” writer/director passed away on April 28, more than a week after being placed in a coma after suffering a stroke.

Following his passing, his mother Sheila Ward was named the executor of the estate.

Cleopatra filed a petition requesting a monthly allowance of $2,778 because she claims her dad used to cover her bills and expenses because she’s a student.

She also asked for a one-time payment of $4,150 to cover her study abroad program.

TMZ.com confirmed a judge signed off on the request, granting Cleopatra the full requested amount from John’s estate, which is estimated to be worth upwards of $35 million.

The estate, which is yet to be divided, also got a hefty boost back in October, as Sony Pictures agreed to pay $515,472 to the late director’s film company, New Deal Productions, following an audit for money from the 2001 flick “Baby Boy,” which stars Tyrese Gibson, Taraji P. Henson and Snoop Dogg.

EXCLUSIVE: Rapper Sauce Lean Fights Life Sentence

(AllHipHop News) Last week, Houston rapper Sauce Lean was sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of running a sex trafficking ring.

This week, Sauce Lean is fighting back.

An investigation into Sauce Lean and Sauce Walka’s The Sauce Factory started in 2018 after two teenaged girls went to the police and said they were being prostituted by members of TSF, which the cops have labeled a gang.

Sauce Lean was arrested in July of 2018 over allegations he pimped out a group of teenagers and then bragged about it in his rap songs, which were used against him during his five-day trial.

According to the Feds, Sauce Lean’s rap videos “contained many of the terms people use in the game. In the videos, Sims refers to two of his co-defendants and their roles in the organization. He references selling “white” women and how successful he is at being a pimp.”

The jury deliberated for a little less than eight hours before they returned a guilty verdict against The Sauce Factory associate.

Sauce Lean, real name Jaimian Sims was found guilty of conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of a minor and sex trafficking of a minor.

During the sentencing phase, U.S. District Judge David Hittner stated Sims was a threat to society, despite the glowing letters of support Sauce Lean presented to the court.

“The government contended Sims has not made any contribution to society and that he and other members of The Sauce Factory wave around firearms, large amounts of cash and glorify a materialistic lifestyle built on the backs of sexually-exploited women,” snapped a representative for the U.S. Attorney’s Office Southern District of Texas.

Yesterday, Sauce Lean filed an appeal. He is asking for a court-appointed lawyer to help him fight for his life.

T.I. & Meek Mill Defend Nipsey Hussle As A Legend

(AllHipHop News) Recently, Wack 100 doubled down on his statement that Nipsey Hussle is not a legend in his eyes. Many people took issue with the Cash Money West executive’s opinion about the deceased emcee/entrepreneur.

In the wake of Wack 100’s comments, two rap stars made it a point to express their belief that Nip was indeed legendary. Grand Hustle boss T.I. and Dream Chasers head Meek Mill both posted about the Victory Lap creator on social media.

“Nipsey a legend and the definition of [a] real black man!” tweeted Meek on Monday afternoon. Around the same time, T.I. uploaded a screenshot of the definition for the word “legend” to his Instagram page. The second dictionary entry described a legend as an “extremely famous or notorious person, especially in a particular field.”

Tip wrote in the IG caption, “This sh*t say Nipsey all over it… Record sales and #1 hits ain’t the only barometer for legendary status. IMPACT is what’s important. Although his notoriety DID grow exponentially more after his demise… his impact is undeniable. #HadToBeSaid.”

Meek Mill: Stop Putting My Name In Yung Ro & Blueface’s Beef

(AllHipHop News) Dream Chasers rapper Yung Ro has found himself in an online feud with Cash Money West’s Blueface. However, DC leader Meek Mill is asking to be left out of that narrative.

The beef started over Ro explaining he did not buy jewelry in order to purchase his mother a house and to pay for his grandmother’s dialysis. Then Blueface suggested that Ro must have an unfavorable record contract if he cannot afford to buy a chain and a home.

Over the last few days, both Ro and Blueface have thrown shots at the other on social media, and the bad blood now involves Blueface’s sister. Meek finally addressed the situation on Twitter.

The Philadelphia native posted:

Stop saying meek mill artist it’s young ro” and stop putting my name with that kiddy sh*t.. meek mill on some other sh*t …. do y’all post the owners of these major labels when artist popping sh*t on the net! EXCLUSIVE: Tekashi 6ix9ine Kidnapper Asks For Acquittal and New Trial Over “Odd” Verdict

(AllHipHop News) A man accused of abducting rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is asking a judge for an acquittal and a new trial.

In October, Anthony “Harv” Ellison was convicted of kidnapping the rapper, while his co-defendant Al Jeremiah “Nuke” Mack was found guilty of racketeering and drug dealing.

In a new filing, Anthony Ellison claims he was simply an employee for 6ix9ine, first as security and later as a bodyguard for the rapper.

Ellison said he earned about $25,000 for his role as bodyguard/road manager and he’s arguing no credible proof was presented during his trial to establish a connection to the criminal activity of Tekashi 6ix9ine, Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones and other top leaders of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

Ellison said he was simply “acting” in the photos and videos the Feds presented as evidence showing him throwing up gang signs alongside Tekashi 6ix9ine, born Daniel Hernandez.

Harv Ellison stuck to his argument during his trial that all of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s beefs were well-staged publicity stunts, designed to promote his rap career.

During his three days on the stand, Tekashi 6ix9ine claimed Ellison pistol-whipped and abducted him at gunpoint as his driver Jorge Rivera watched helplessly, during an internal war between the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

The Feds say the kidnapping/robbery was the culmination of months of tension between rival factions in the gang, who were fighting for control of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s rap career.

Ellison was eventually found guilty of maiming and assault with a dangerous weapon in aid of racketeering, but he was acquitted of assault with a deadly weapon in aid of racketeering.

His lawyer described the verdicts as “utterly incompatible with one another.”

“The jury rejected the accounts of Hernandez and Jorge Rivera wherein they described Mr. Ellison using a weapon to effectuate an alleged kidnapping,” said Anthony “Harv” Ellison’s lawyer Deveraux L. Cannick. “However, they found Mr. Ellison guilty of kidnapping Hernandez. The jury verdict on each count was not just odd, but utterly incompatible with one another, such that a jury following the Court’s instruction could not have produced it. The verdicts rendered by the jury were simply inconsistent with one another.”

“Clearly, the jury did not entirely give credit to the testimony of Hernandez and Rivera. Hernandez clearly testified that he had been assaulted with a gun during the alleged kidnapping,” Cannick continued. “Rivera claimed to have observed multiple guns during the alleged seizure of Hernandez. A lack of credible evidence led to an inconsistent verdict. The defense submits that letting the guilty verdict stand would be a manifest Injustice.”

Anthony “Harv” Ellison and his lawyer are asking Paul A. Engelmayer for the entry of a judgment of acquittal on all counts and another trial.

Stormzy Says Therapy Helped Him Cope With Fame

(AllHipHop News) British rapper Stormzy has had therapy to help him cope with his “terrifying” rise to fame.

The U.K. grime starburst through into the mainstream with his debut studio album Gang Signs & Prayer back in 2017, and has since headlined Glastonbury, triumphed at the BRIT Awards and been on the cover of Time magazine.

However, he admits success initially came at a cost as he struggled with his status as a role model.

“In the past two years, I’ve been in a kind of mind state where it’s been super overwhelming for me and I’ve found it super terrifying. I used to shy away from it,” he tells U.K. chat show host Jonathan Ross. “When people would say ‘role model’ I used to say ‘You’ve got the wrong man’.”

Stormzy, real name Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo, Jr., says he has spoken to pals and had therapy and has grown into his position as a star.

“I’ve been to therapy, I talk to my friends… I’ll be brutally honest, there are times I’ll get super low, I’ll get super depressed and I will shut myself off from the world, I’ll do stupid things that no one should do, I’ll stay in my house and I’ll smoke, I’ll not answer my phone,” he explains. “But as I’m growing older, I’m learning how to deal with things.”

However, he still admits to struggling with his dual role in life – but sees it as part of being a normal man as well as someone people look up to.

“Most days I am super up for all the duties I’ve taken on myself and everything I know God has lined up for me, I’m super ready and I’m in my element and I’m ready to bite all the bullets and stand on the front line and do whatever is needed,” he explains. “But a lot of the times I just feel like I’m a normal man, I get bad road rage, I’m very flawed, I’m super normal, I’m a person.”

The Game’s Open Letter To His Brother Gets A Big Response.

(AllHipHop Rumors) The Game has a new song called “Hug The Block” and it is a scorcher. Let me tell you…The Game is one of the true greats when it comes to this rap sh#t, but he sometimes can go too far. I know some of you are like, “DUH, AND?” But on “Hug The Block,” The Game devotes a whole song to criticizing, dissing and chiding his own brother, Big Fase 100! Big Fase is the older brother (44, according to the song) and he really catches a lyrical fade on the song. The Game really airs out the dirty laundry on this one – no dryer sheets whatsoever. Check out the song. And let’s discuss the reaction from Big Fase.

Big Fase has responded on social media.

We are in an era where people talk through social media and not on the phone. These guys are related by blood. However, they have had a strained relationship from day one and it seems like these emotions have festered quite a bit. Now, I don’t know if The Game is acting or if he’s really feeling this way. But, if you notice, his voice cracks and it almost sounds like he may be crying. I am not sure, but that’s how it sounds to me. What do you think? I hope The Game and Big Fase get it together.

EXCLUSIVE: Fat Joe Wants “All The Way Up” Lawsuit Tossed, No One Can Find Signed Contract

(AllHipHop News) Rap star Fat Joe is demanding a lawsuit over his hit single “All The Way Up” be thrown out of court – since no one can find a signed copy of the original contract.

Miami rapper Fly Havana maintains he helped create the original version of the hit single “All The Way Up,” which features Remy Ma and French Montana.

Fly Havana says he helped Infrared create the original track, which made its way to Fat Joe and the rest is history – without him.

Fly Havana, born Eric Elliott, says he met with Fat Joe at an IHOP in an effort to settle the dispute, but unfortunately, the meeting would make the case more complex.

Prior to their meeting, Fat Joe hired a lawyer named Erica Moreira to prepare a one-page agreement in order to resolve Fly Havana’s allegations.

During the 30-minute sit-down, Fat Joe handed over a $5,000 check and presented the document for Fly Havana to sign – which he did – without getting his copy of the agreement.

Despite taking the money and signing the agreement, Fly Havana filed a lawsuit against Fat Joe, Remy Ma in March of 2019, claiming he didn’t read the agreement and was being unfairly cheated out of royalties from “All The Way Up.”

In September, a judge ordered both parties to file whatever versions of the document they had in their possession.

But Fly Havana admitted he did not have a copy of what he signed, and he testified he “does not know how to read legal documents,” but he thought the contract said he would be compensated and credited as a writer.

Fat Joe’s lawyer says Fly Havana doesn’t deserve a penny, because he signed a very common agreement stating his contribution to the song was a “work for hire.”

And here is where things get complicated.

Fat Joe’s lawyer can only produce the “draft” agreement she sent to the rap star, but no one can find the original document Fly Havana signed.

Fat Joe says he searched everywhere for a copy of the original executed agreement and so did his lawyer and his old manager, with no luck.

“The fact that the signed agreement cannot be found does not change the fact that Elliott did sign an agreement…Elliott has no information to controvert the conclusion that the Draft Agreement, with the exception of the signature, is the Document,” Fat Joe’s lawyer Eleanor M. Lackman argued.

“Defendants also have provided an explanation that shows that the absence of the signed Agreement was not procured by any bad faith on the part of Defendants,” Fat Joe’s lawyer added. “Under such circumstances, the question is purely evidentiary, and the best evidence rule resolves it.”

Fat Joe’s lawyer is asking a judge to enforce the draft agreement and dismiss Fly Havana’s lawsuit in full and with prejudice.

On December 6th, Fat Joe is releasing a new album called Family Ties featuring Eminem, Cardi B., Lil Wayne, Mary J. Blige and others.

Tyga Hospitalized In Abu Dhabi

(AllHipHop News) Tyga has been hospitalized in Abu Dhabi, just days after telling the audience at a gig in Mumbai, India, that he was feeling a “little under the weather.”

The 30-year-old rapper updated fans about his health with several posts on his Instagram Stories, which showed him wearing a blue face mask and green hospital gown as he sat on the bed with an array of medicines and IVs behind him.

“Thank you to the doctors in Abu Dhabi for treating me w the best care,” he wrote alongside one of the images, adding three praying hand emojis.

Tyga has yet to reveal the reasons for his hospitalization.

He performed at the Diriyah Music Festival in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh on Saturday (November 30th), which came just 24 hours after he took to the stage in Mumbai – at which point he told the crowd he wasn’t feeling too well.

“This is my first time in Mumbai, and I just love it here. I am a bit under the weather, but I thought to myself that this is my first gig in Mumbai and I cannot cancel it for my fans’ sake. And you know what? It’s totally worth coming all the way from Los Angeles and performing for you all.” he said, according to reports.

Tyga’s next scheduled performance is at the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg, Germany, tonight (December 2nd). It remains to be seen whether or not he will go ahead with the gig.

EXCLUSIVE: Tekashi 6ix9ine Shooter Gets 20 Years In Prison

(AllHipHop News) One of the most dangerous members of the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods is heading to jail for 20 years.

Aaron “Bat” Young was one of 11 defendants rounded up and hit with RICO charges by the Feds for drug dealing and committing violent crimes with other Nine Trey gang members, including Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Today (December 2nd), Aaron Young was sentenced, after pleading guilty to one count of racketeering conspiracy.

The Feds say Young attempted to kill a fellow Nine Trey gang member named “Snow Billy,” by shooting him in the neck at close range in January of 2019.

Young was also accused of distributing at least 80 kilos of heroin around New York.

Last month, he wrote a letter to Judge Paul Engelmayer claiming he had a variety of learning disabilities and had been exploited by the gang’s leaders, Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones and Kifano “Shotti” Jordan.

It appears as though Young’s plea for leniency fell on deaf ears in court today.

Judge Engelmayer handed Young a stiff sentence of 240 months in prison which equates to a total of 20 years.

Judge Engelmayer gave Young more prison time than anyone in the RICO case, because of the attempt on Snow Billy’s life.

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, who infamously testified against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, is scheduled to receive his sentence later this month.

The Feds have already secured convictions against the gang’s top leaders, including Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, Jamel “Mel Murda” Jones, Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack, Anthony “Harv” Ellison and others.

Last week, a former NYPD police officer named Arlicia Robinson pleaded guilty to distributing 1 kilo of heroin for the gang.

Robinson is supposed to be sentenced in March of 2020.
