G-Eazy Speaks On Wanting To Prove Himself In ‘Rapture’ Trailer

By: ykyles Kyles (@HUEYmixwitRILEY)

(AllHipHop News) G-Eazy had a huge 2017. “No Limit” and “Him & I” hit the Top 20 of the Hot 100 chart and The Beautiful & Damned album opened with 122,000 units in its first week of release.

Despite his commercial success, the Oakland rapper feels he is still in the process of justifying his place in the music landscape. He spoke about that internal struggle in a trailer for the Netflix docuseries Rapture.

“I live in a constant state of wanting to prove myself,” said G-Eazy. “Every show I get to play is a blessing.”

Rapture is set to debut March 30 on the streaming platform. Other Hip Hop stars – such as T.I., Nas, Dave East, Rapsody, and A Boogie wit da Hoodie – appear in episodes of the Mass Appeal production as well.

THE PEOPLE RESIST
This resistance is not new!
We, the people who have lived under the thumb of white supremacy, gender
inequality, homophobia, environmental rape and economic apartheid have always
known that when the world is an outrage, the sensible thing to do is defy it.

Resistance is survival, not just a hashtag. But if it’s going to be a social media call to
political arms, let’s make that f##### count!

This resistance is not only about the toxicity of sick men in power.

We, the people recognize the laws they codify are pornographic fever-dreams of
late-stage capitalism and white patriarchy, its bottom-lines built on the broken
backs of individual human rights, and on development for the few but cheap plastic
lives for those segregated from society.

Our moral teachers taught us the ethics on which to build this fight, and our punk
roots gave us the strategy.

This resistance is not nihilism.

When the People Resist, our collective “No” is actually “Yes” – to all, for all. We
stake everybody’s claim, rejecting old colonial privileges.

When the People Resist, it is inclusive, not exclusive -our arms open to the
oppressed, and a finger in the air to the oppressors. We respond to the absurdity of
their limited vision.

When the People Resist, it is unity, not division – loud voices speaking together,
even if they aren’t all saying the same thing. We reject the purity of agreement, for
the righteousness of our displeasure.

The People Resist…because there’s nothing else left to do now.

R. Kelly Tried To Groom 14-Year Old Into “Sex Pet”

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly has been the subject of many accusations related to pedophilia and an alleged predilection for underage girls.

Now, there are new accusations.

A looming documentary says that R. Kelly tried to rear a 14-year old girl into a sex slave.

The latest charges are rooted in the 2017 reports that the R&B singer was creating a sex cult and holding women against their will. The Chicago native was also accused of controlling all facets of their life.

A part of the story is a new narrative: that the crooner trained a girl to be his sex slave at the tender age of 14.

Kittie Jones, a former girlfriend of R. Kelly, made the startling accusation in a new BBC3 documentary that is slated to drop on March 28. Jones says that she and others were forced to have sex in a “sex dungeon,” disclosed in a story by The Guardian.

“I was introduced to one of the girls, that he told me he ‘trained’ since she was 14—those were his words,” Jones told The Guardian. “I saw that she was dressed like me, that she was saying the things I’d say and her mannerisms were like mine. That’s when it clicked in my head that he had been grooming me to become one of his pets. He calls them his pets.”

Per Jones, R. Kelly made the woman “crawl on the floor towards me and perform oral sex on me, and he said, ‘This is my f###### pet, I trained her. She’s going to teach you how to be with me.'”

This is one in a slew of accusations – past and present – against the singer. Others alleged they were in a sex cult and that other women were used to “train” other women to please Kelly sexually.

R. Kelly has denied all of the allegations.

One person said that Kelly would even become violence at certain points,

“It’s very frightening,” Pace continued. “He would slap you in your face. He would physically harm you, and he would put you in a room, and he would lock you in a room for days.”

Drake’s “God’s Plan” Spends Holy Week At #1

(AllHipHop News) Drake’s monster hit “God’s Plan” will spend the “Holy Week” holiday at the top of the U.S. pop charts.

The rapper’s tune has just locked down a ninth week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, keeping Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant to Be” off the top of the countdown.

Ed Sheeran’s former Hot 100 # 1, “Perfect,” drops a spot to three on the new chart, while Bruno Mars and Cardi B’s Finesse and Post Malone’s Psycho round out the top five.

Rapper XXXTentacion makes his debut in the top 10 with “Sad!” – one of seven tracks from his number one album ? to feature in this week’s Hot 100.

The album hit the top of the Billboard 200 on Sunday, days after the judge overseeing his legal woes agreed to relax the house arrest terms of his confinement, so the 20-year-old rap star, real name Jahseh Onfroy, could tour.

Is Beyonce’s Vegan Diet Driving Jay-Z Insane?

By: Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea)

(AllHipHop Rumors) Beyonce is preparing herself to perform at this years Coachella festival. The singer is gearing up for the fest by using a new diet and fitness regime.

The diet is a plant-based vegan diet and it’s not the first time the singer has used one. Beyonce first announced her use of plant-based diets back in 2013 after she cut out meat and animal products.

While Bey has gone completely vegan, Jay-Z has no issues scarfing down cheese, pasta, and clams, which is supposedly pissing Beyonce off since she wants them both in shape for their On The Run II tour.

In December, Jay-Z announced that he would begin a 22-day vegan diet challenge. Jay-Z stated that his vegan journey began after a friend asked him to try vegan breakfast meals every day and he liked them.

The vegan diet subtracts fish, meat, and other animals products from your meal consumption. Instead, the diet focuses more on plant-based foods for your consumption.

Meaning that the animal products are replaced by mostly fruits and vegetables.

Eric Bellinger Tries To Ether Tory Lanez!

By: Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea)

(AllHipHop Rumors) The back and forth between Singers Tory Lanez and Eric Bellinger continues.

This beef is one of the more entertaining one’s in music right now. Eric Bellinger recently released a Tory Lanez diss record, “Yikes,” and held nothing back.

At this point, it’s clear to see that these two simply don’t get along with each other.

The origins of this beef go back to 2017 when Bellinger got fed up with Lanez mimicking his style. After Tory Lanez used a tagline associated with Bellinger, Eric Bellinger would address the matter via Twitter.

Tory Lanez recently re-sparked the beef with a record on his latest album “Memories Don’t Die.”

On “Hate To Say,” he addressed his beefs with Drake, Travis Scott, Eric Bellinger and Pi’erreBourne.

R&B n##### with Sisqó haircuts, wildin’ and stylin’/They dissin’, guess they just tryna go viral, I feel ’em/This your favorite song, this gon’ be your favorite song/’Cept when I say it, it’s really the people’s favorite song/You did a vid dissin’ to flex the i8/I could’ve flexed a ‘Rari or Wraith, but n####, I ain’t

Those were some harsh words coming from Lanez, but it’s easy to see why Bellinger would respond with ammunition of his own.

Memories don’t die, but I can’t say the same for you/I’ve been on a positive vibe but this I had to do/I’m down for getting dirty, boy I came from the trenches/too p*ssy to say my name but I heard the description/the shoe fit, so I put an outfit on to match it perfect

The rest of the records features even more bars addressing Tory Lanez for his previous shots. This has quickly turned into the lyrical battle that nobody expected.

Pounds – Borgata

https://youtu.be/Xg7ga7uxv9E?list=RDXg7ga7uxv9E

Rochester native Pounds makes it very clear on his standout new EP, Borgata, that he’s cut from a similar anti-hero, mafioso-rap cloth that led to so many classic records over the years.

Armed with his unique voice and meditative delivery, he draws inspiration from the artists he listened to growing up (Mobb Deep, Sean Price, Nas) and pens gritty street tales that are all his own.

Of course, you knew that already if you’ve been following his career to date, which has included a number of notable releases over the years (including 2017’s Rules and Parameters).

But with Borgata, Pounds takes it to the next level as he connects with famed West Coast producer Oh No, known for his superb solo work and collaborations with Alchemist (as the duo Gangrene). Together, Pounds and Oh No have crafted a raw and cinematic EP that’s brimming with vivid imagery over soulful loops.

Is Joe Budden Trying To Bait Eminem Into A Battle?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ui_eqZbf_Qo

(AllHipHop Rumors) Personally, I think Joe Budden really wants to rap and not be a media personality. Truth be told, his last albums were really dope. We all know that Joe and Eminem were cool, but are they on the edge of beefing. Probably not. But lets entertain it for a bit. We know that Joe disparaged Eminem’s last album, which Hip-Hop fans took exception to. Pop fans, not so much. Nevertheless, most people felt that Em deserved a bit more loyalty than Joe gave the Shady General. Recently on Twitter, Joe said some stuff that suggested he wants “smoke” with a legend. Actually, he said some legends don’t want smoke with him. I am not sure who Officially Ice is, but his tweets got the whole thing started after responding to somebody else.

This happened a couple days ago, but still worth our time.

Judge Rejects Juelz Santana Plan For Freedom

(AllHipHop News) A judge has rejected a proposed bail package that would have sprung Juelz Santana from jail.

The rap star has been behind bars since March 12th, which is the day he turned himself in for a wild incident at Newark Liberty International Airport.

TSA agents claimed they found a loaded Derringer in the rapper’s luggage, as he attempted to board a flight to California. When the agents found the two-shot pistol, Juelz fled the airport, leaving behind Oxycodone pills and his ID card.

Juelz, 36, caught a taxi and disappeared for several days before finally surrendering to authorities.

Yesterday, a judge ordered he will stay locked up after ruling a proposed bail package for the rap star was insufficient, although no details were offered to explain the judge’s ruling.

In addition to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and carrying a weapon on an aircraft, Juelz was also booked for unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of drugs, and an unspecified federal warrant.

So far, a new date for Juelz to go before a judge to regain freedom has yet to be set.

Juelz Santana, born LaRon James, has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

If he is convicted, he could face at least 10 years in prison.

Stevie J Is Back With Two New Seasons & Big Musical Collaborations

(AllHipHop Features) Three-time Grammy Award winning songwriter, producer, and musician, Stevie J is back with season 2 of his VH1 spin off show, “Leave It To Stevie”.

The hit producer is not only focused on continuing to craft new music for veterans and new artists as he’s also focused on watching his kids pursue their passions while he teaches them the importance of hard work.

As always, Stevie is more than ready to focus on music, family and living the bachelor life to the fullest.

In both season 2 of “Leave It Stevie” and season 7 of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” we expect to see Stevie attempting to avoid making previous mistakes as well as trying his best to keep business and pleasure separate.

Like every season, these seasons will give Stevie a fresh start and fresh experiences, where he forges deeper connections with his children, pushes them to step outside of their comfort zones, and he gets busy in the studio.

AllHipHop caught up with Stevie to discuss everything from the new seasons, his collaborations with Future & Young Thug, what he misses about 90s Hip Hop & R&B and more!

What can we expect from Season 2 of ‘Leave It To Stevie”?

“Well you can expect you know, my kids they want to finally work. You will see me showing them that I support them and that I’m behind them. I want them to make their own careers and have their own legacies. You’ll see me just pushing them to be the greatest they can be.”

We are in season 7 of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta, what can we expect from this season? How have you grown since the first season to now?

“Well you know it’s a lot of growth. You should want to grow and not stay stagnant. All of the things I used to do, I’m not into anymore. I’m into now making sure the kids are good. Making sure that I’m back on point as a producer, I’m back on point as  a business man, and those are the steps that I’m taking to make sure that the people are getting a glimpse of those things these days.”

One thing about you is you are always in the studio, what new artists are you working with currently?

“I just finished working on Scrappy’s album. We did it in 3 weeks. We completed a project and are shooting visuals. I just finished Kelly Price’s album. I did this duet with Faith, we shot the visuals for that. I’m working with my son Dorian J. I’m just working. I’ve been writing with Eric Bellinger. I’ve been working with Teyana Taylor. I’m just working man; I’m doing stuff with Future & Thug. Man I’m in my bag, in my producer bag.”

You’ve crafted so many hits, who is one artist that you haven’t worked with that you would like to work with?

“I would say Chris Brow. Although he’s sampled some of my music before, I think that with being in the studio with him, we would do some incredible work together.”

You’ve been in the game a long time, so what are some of the positive changes you’ve seen in the music industry, and what are some of the negative ones?

“I just believe it’s all positive to see the youth finding something to do other than being in the streets. I just look at it from a positive standpoint. I’m grateful that there’s still a way for us to get out here and get some paper other than doing things that we don’t really want to do.”

You are a veteran in the music game, what do you miss most about 90s Hip Hop & R&B?

“The 90s R&B was that love making music. That was that Jodeci and all of that. I miss all of that. It was real musical. Even the Hip Hop was a little more musical, but we are bringing all of that back. I just miss the fact that….I miss the lyricism, the melodies that a lot of the rappers were using in the 90s. Now I can’t tell him from him right now. So I just like that the 90s was a little bit more diverse. Everyone sounded like themselves, they were the best version of themselves. Now everybody wants to sound like him and him. I can’t tell them apart.”

Who are your “Top 5” rappers dead or alive?

“Big, Jay, Nas, Pac, and Kendrick.”

Do you ever feel like your musical accomplishments take a back seat to what people see from you on reality TV?

“Well no it’s just different now. At first I did. But now. I’m grateful to have 7 successful seasons on Love & Hip Hop Atlanta. Actually 3 with my own spin-offs. It’s like people are now paying attention and they are googling me and seeing, and now all of these music cats are like hold on we can’t forget the dude that brought you 100 million hits and three Grammys. Those same cats in music are calling me up to make sure that my legacy isn’t left to be Googled, it’s here to be seen. So you know I’m back on that music thing, and I believe the youth and the people I grew up with will be happy about how I’m going to present this music to them.”

What’s next for Stevie J?

“Great question I’m actually starting “Sleezy J”, my pop up parties for a good time with my live band in different cities. The next one is in Houston. We did one in Atlanta. You know it’s like the Harlem Nights theme, everyone has to come dressed up dressed up to the T to the 9. You know we have different artists singing and all of the artists that I have performing. It’s just a great atmosphere for one to have a great time and to get dressed up and sexy and listen to some live music. I believe people love to see me in my musicianship. I have my guitar on. You might see me on the keys, you might see me on the drums, you might see me on the bass. Different instruments singing. It’s just fun; it’s just a fun night at Sleazy J’s.”

Belly Breaks Down Recording Sessions With His Roc Nation Mentor Jay-Z

(AllHipHop News) Ahmad “Belly” Balshe had sections of the internet talking when the Canadian posted photos to Instagram of him and Jay-Z in the studio. The caption for the photo and video simply read, “zone.”

More information about the sessions wasn’t provided. However, Belly was asked about his recording time with the Roc Nation head in a new interview with Billboard.

“Just to have the involvement of somebody I’ve idolized my whole life is amazing. A lot of the credit people give me on certain sh-t, I’m like, ‘[JAY-Z] taught me to do that.’ I’ve been listening to him my whole life, but he’s taught me how to approach things differently and to take my words more seriously when I rap,” admitted Belly. “It’s dope having him there and being involved with my album. [Him] having a hands-on approach with it is incredible. I think he’s trying to instill his greatness, and show me his perspective from an outsider’s approach. Sometimes you overthink sh-t. It’s the greatest blessing.”

The West Bank-born musician later added, “We’ve been in there late some nights. He’s the epitome of what you want a career to look like. For him to be at the pinnacle and still take the time to come do sessions with young guys is a blessing and it shows a lot about his character, love, and passion.”

Last year, Belly released his Mumble Rap mixtape via XO/Roc Nation. Up next is a project titled Midnight Zone which is expected to feature The Weeknd, Ty Dolla $ign, YG, French Montana, and NAV.

“I approached the situation with so much more care than I approach my mixtapes with and I’m meticulous. When I approach my mixtapes I’m very calculated. With this, this is my baby. This has to be everything I want it to be and more,” explained the “4 Days” performer.

Vic Mensa Calls Out Politicians Taking Money From The NRA

(AllHipHop News) Following the shooting massacre at Parkland’s Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, young people across America rallied to force gun reform legislation. An estimated 800,000 protesters assembled in Washington this weekend for the March For Our Lives.

Numerous celebrities performed at the event in DC. Among the talent to take the stage was Chicago rap star Vic Mensa. MTV caught up with The Autobiography album creator to talk about his positions on the gun debate.

“It’s the time that we hold the people who have taken on positions of power accountable, and we demand they stop putting their pocketbooks above our lives,” said the SaveMoneySaveLife founder. “The NRA could never pay enough money to bring back the kids from Stoneman Douglas, to bring back the kids in Chicago, to bring back Hadiya Pendleton. There’s no monetary value for that, there’s no price for that.”

March For Our Lives featured speakers from around the country, including youth activists from Parkland and Chicago. In addition, students from both cities met beforehand in Florida to discuss ending gun violence nationwide.

Mensa also made news on Saturday when he shared his thoughts on the controversial trending topic of Killer Mike’s interview with the NRA. The Roc Nation recording artist tweeted, “To [Killer Mike]: YOU DONT NEED AN AR-15. As a black man & fellow gun owner I would like to have a debate with you about your stances on gun-control.”

Mike responded by tweeting, “We got the same publicist and u have my phone number. I ain’t dodge’n u.”

Cardi B Reveals Release Date For Her Debut Album ‘Invasion Of Privacy’

(AllHipHop News) Earlier this month, Cardi B insisted her long-awaited debut studio LP would be out in April. The Atlantic Records artist finally announced the official release date for her project.

“My album ‘INVASION OF PRIVACY’ will be out APRIL 6!” tweeted Cardi overnight. “Thanks for the love.”

4/6 is one day before the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker performs on Saturday Night Live. Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman is hosting that particular episode.

Prior to working on Invasion Of Privacy, Cardi dropped two mixtapes. Gangsta B#### Music, Vol. 1 arrived in 2016, and the sequel hit the internet a year later.

1 Millionth Look:Cardi B Reveals Album Cover!

(AllHipHop Rumors) All Hail The Queen! Some may be angry at the notion of Cardi B being one of the premier rappers of New York, but she is. She is not about to do the same thing that Young MA did and wait too long. Well, she kind of did wait a long time, since that song “Bodak Yellow” did drop last year, but she pimped that out to the fullest. I cannot wait! There is a lot on the line right now for this. Clearly, it is on the line for Cardi as a star, but also for New York City. I could be wrong, since I am not in New York, but to me…New York needs this. Or does it? I don’t know, but I know this is about all we have until Joey Bada$$ drops a new one or Axel Leon pops!

What do you have to say about the new Cardi B album cover?

Young Thug Defecates On Gucci Mane! On Social Media!

(AllHipHop Rumors) DAMN! Can’t we just get along? Not really. Gucci Mane must be rolling in the dough. He put up a million for Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug to do a mixtape at his new studios. Well, that didn’t go over too well for Thugger, who clearly is rolling in it too.

I am not sure what is going on between those two dudes, but it seemed like Thugger had some animosity in his reply. Did I miss something? Check it.

https://www.instagram.com/accounts/login/?next=/p/Bgzg2o9Akn6/

Uh…I will do it for $500-$1000, Gucci!

I know that brother, Rich Homie is like, “BRUH DO IT FOR ME! I NEED THAT BROCC!”

Now, some said that Thugger said he would simply do it for free. I don’t see why he would do that, when everybody I know could use a cool million. Unless there is something I don’t know!

According to reps for Vans, “the Authentic” show honors the life of Phife Dawg, who passed away on March 22, 2016, of complications from diabetes.

The news comes as the group prepares another high-profile fashion collaboration with Pharrell Williams called “The Space Program” capsule collection, which is available for purchase now.
