(AllHipHop News) Back in 2014, entertainment power couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé brought in around $100 million from their “On The Run Tour.” Billboard reports this summer’s sequel could double the money intake of the original journey.

#OTRII has nearly twice as many dates as the ’14 tour. The international stadium trek also involves what the publication calls “aggressive pricing” which can allow acts to make more revenue while charging less for upper-level seats.

According to Pollstar, Jay-Z’s 2017 North American “4:44 Tour” grossed $39.3 million. Beyoncé’s “The Formation World Tour” was the second highest grossing tour of 2016 with $256 million.

Jay and Bey came close to breaking the internet when the official announcement for the “On The Run II Tour” hit the web yesterday. Tidal subscribers and BeyHive fan club members are able to buy pre-sale tickets beginning March 14.

(AllHipHop News) Maryland’s Logic and Georgia’s Killer Mike connected for the track “Confess” off the Everybody album. It turns out Mike played a much bigger role in the direction of the project.

The Def Jam recording artist talked about his friendship with Mike during a video interview with Zane Lowe. According to Logic, a phone conversation with the Run The Jewels member influenced the decision to cover certain content in his music.

“I remember calling Killer Mike. It was the height of the Black Lives Matter movement and what was going on in the community, and what wasn’t being addressed and what wasn’t being talked about,” recalled Logic. “I felt like I have all this power and a voice, and I want to say something about that, about women who are being sexually abused, and people’s mental health. There are people saying this sh-t but not on a mainstream level. I was like, ‘I want to do that.'”

He added, “I called [Killer Mike] like, ‘I don’t wanna do this but I feel like I have to do this.’ He was like, ‘Brother, you gotta do whatever you gotta do.’ He said, ‘You can’t be scared to make an album that’s preaching about love, equality, and the acceptance of one another based on the opinions of other people. You can’t let them stop you.'”

Logic earned two Grammy nominations for his suicide prevention anthem “1-800-273-8255.” The XXL Freshman alum recently released Bobby Tarantino II which features appearances by Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and Marshmello.

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper Miles “Lil Yachty” McCollum is adding voice actor to his résumé. The “She Ready” rhymer was tapped for the role of Green Lantern in the animated Teen Titans GO! to the Movies.

USA Today reports Yachty is being joined by Nicolas Cage as Superman and Halsey as Wonder Woman. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 27.

“Every superhero in the DC Universe has an impact on the fans, so we felt a great responsibility to find a voice for each character that would not only suit the role, but the playful tone of the Titans, and we’re thrilled with our cameo cast,” stated executive producer Sam Register.

(AllHipHop News) According to reports, New York rapper Craig Mack has died of possible heart failure. The onetime signee to Diddy’s Bad Boy Entertainment label is survived by a wife and two adult children.

(AllHipHop News) Mobb Deep fans can rejoice. A new album is in the works is will be released this year.

Havoc, the group’s lead producer and co-emcee, told Ari Melber of MSNBC’s “The Beat with Ari” that the plan is in the works.

Havoc said on air, “The way I’m reflecting on it is I’m just trying to keep the legacy alive. We deserve that, and I’m actually currently working on the new album in conjunction with the family. It’ll be out there pretty soon, before the end of the year. Before the end of the year it’ll be out.”

Prior to his death, Prodigy talked to Chuck Creekmur and told him that Mobb Deep had crafted a plethora of music. He also stated that that time that it would be coming out.

Prodigy, said: We can drop an album whenever, it doesn’t matter. We can just constantly stay on the road and they’ll book us at a venue four, five, six times in a row. It feels like such a blessing, man. We put in a lot of work to get to this point. In the studio nonstop. When people wanting to hang out in clubs and go mess with girls, we was in the studio. Real serious about our craft. It paid off in the end because we were able to just keep dropping these albums and make a career with a lot of longevity for ourself. It’s just a blessing, man. We constantly working on albums, on the road, touring. I got a publishing company so now I’m cranking out a lot of books every year. It’s just a beautiful thing, man. Mobb Deep, we always working on … Next album will be out very soon. It’ll be out soon.”

Tragically, Prodigy, born Albert Johnson, died last year in Las Vegas after suffering from complications of sickle-cell anemia.

(AllHipHop News) Rap mogul Suge Knight has dismissed a lawyer who was charged in a conspiracy to bribe witnesses, in connection with his forthcoming murder trial.

Suge appeared in court today to dismiss Thaddeus Culpepper, a member of the Death Row founder’s defense team, who was arrested and charged with accessory to murder after the fact.

“Culpepper is off the case,” Suge Knight announced during a court hearing today (March 12).

In January, Thaddeus Culpepper and another attorney named Matthew Fletcher were detained by the LAPD, for supposedly trying to bribe witnesses.

Fletcher is charged with working with Suge to spend as much as $25,000 to a group of bikers to make false statements to bolster’s Suge’s argument that he was being targeted for assassination.

During the hearing today, Suge said Matthew Fletcher warned him not to hire white attorney’s, yet Fletcher has snagged power lawyer Mark Geragos to defend him in the bribery case.

“‘Don’t mess with these white attorneys’,” Suge said Matthew Fletcher insisted. “Next thing I know, he got [Mark] Geragos,” Knight said. “I feel like the movie ‘Crash.’”

Thaddeus Culpepper was arrested for allegedly attempting to pay for positive testimony for Suge Knight, but the man ended up being an informant.

Suge Knight is facing murder and attempted murder charges for running over two men during an exchange at a burger stand in Los Angeles in January of 2015.

Terry Carter was killed during and Cle “Bone” Sloan sustained severe injuries.

Suge is slated to announce new lawyers during a hearing on March 23.

The rapper will host and perform the “A Helping Hand” concert this Sunday (March 18) at Club Cinema in Pompano Beach, Florida.

The concert takes place as XXXTentacion prepares to release his new album Bad Vibes Forever, which features guests like Joey Bada$$, Travis Barker, PnB Rock, MATT OX and others.

“This is everything I promised you,” said XXXTentacion. “This is me. I will never not be honest with you. I had to do this for you.”

Bad Vibes Forever lands in stores this Friday, while tickets to “A Helping Hand” are on sale now for $25. Day-of tickets will be $50.

(AllHipHop News) A concert featuring Fabulous turned into chaos over the weekend in Pennsylvania.

Fab was the headliner of the Spring Break Takeover concert in Allentown, which also feature performances by PnB Rock, A Boogie wit da Hoodie and Albee Al The Gladiator.

The evening started off late, and although PnB Rock and A Boogie gave spirited performances, Fab’s set was cut to 15 minutes due to time constraints.

Fans who paid anywhere from $40 to $200 for their tickets were upset, and tempers boiled over after the Spring Break Takeover let out.

According to local reports, at least eight people were arrested for disorderly conduct and public drunkness, while another man was jailed for striking a police officer.

(AllHipHop News) The Game has allegedly failed to pay up in his sexual assault case.

The “Dreams” hitmaker, real name Jayceon Taylor, was sued for $10 million by Priscilla Rainey, a contestant on his U.S. reality series “She’s Got Game,” in 2015.

She claimed The Game assaulted her while filming a scene in a Los Angeles bar for the show, in which women competed for his affection.

He lost the case in late 2016 and a $7 million default judgment was handed down in Rainey’s favor.She filed documents on March 1 claiming that she hasn’t seen any money from the hip-hop star, and has asked a judge to hold him in civil contempt for refusing to comply with the judgment.

Rainey has allegedly conducted her own investigation into The Game’s financial situation using third parties and claims to have evidence that he is diverting millions of dollars in income to avoid having to pay up.

She claims she’s tried multiple times to obtain his financial records from his legal team, with no avail, and is now asking a judge to make him appear in court and testify about his income and assets.

Shortly after the judgment was ordered, The Game took to Instagram and wrote, “That thirsty Gatorade mascot of a transvestite WILL NEVER see $10,000,000 or anything close 2 a penny of my money… this broad ain’t gettin s##t ! Every girl on that show will tell u I never touched this chick or ever desired to be anywhere near her.

“She got kicked off the show & as a result she filed this lame lawsuit which was probably her intentions before the show was ever even started.”

He filed an appeal over the ruling, and also launched a lawsuit against officials at network Viacom, accusing them of failing to vet contestants and not protecting him against Rainey.

He wants them to cover the costs of the judgment as well as pay him $13 million in damages.

At the time of his filing, Viacom officials said the rapper is “seeking to shift the burden of his damages to Viacom through a misdirected legal action that is totally without merit.”

They are seeking a dismissal of the lawsuit.

(AllHipHop News) Notorious B.I.G. estate officials have beaten a copyright infringement lawsuit relating to a single released back in 1993.

Poet Abiodun Oyewole, also known as Tunes by Dune, filed suit against executors in 2016, claiming he wrote a 1968 musical compilation titled “When the Revolution Comes,” which was reportedly sampled in the late rapper’s#### “Party and Bulls##t.”

In his original legal filing, Oyewole claimed he had planned to take Biggie, real name Christopher Wallace, to court before he was murdered in 1997, but he subsequently didn’t feel comfortable going after the tragic star’s widow, Faith Evans, or his mother Voletta Wallace.

However, the plaintiff alleges he finally decided to take action after the music was further licensed without his permission and used on more recent songs, like Rita Ora’s 2012 single “How We Do (Party).”

Ora was included as one of many defendants in the $24 million lawsuit, as were officials at her then-label, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation, but last week Oyewole’s whole case was dismissed.

According to paperwork, U.S. District Judge Alison J. Nathan shut down the suit for a number of reasons, including failure to state a claim, and insufficient service of process, after it was revealed some of the defendants had never received notice of the legal action.

The judge also cited protections under America’s Fair Use doctrine, which allows limited use of copyrighted material without prior authorization from the copyright holder, declaring Notorious B.I.G.’s “Party and Bulls##t” and Ora’s “How We Do (Party)” do not infringe on Oyewole’s copyright.

Attorneys for Biggie’s estate celebrated the news in a statement released on the 21st anniversary of his death.

“This is a well-earned victory for the Estate, and it seems like a message from Christopher to receive it on the anniversary of his passing,” stated estate attorney Julian Petty.
