More Fans Upset Over Lauryn Hill Being Three Hours Late To Pittsburgh Show

(AllHipHop News) Reports of Ms. Lauryn Hill constantly showing up late to her concerts have become routine over the last several years.

The Grammy winner once again left fans feeling disappointed because of her tardiness.

Hill reportedly arrived three hours late to a performance scheduled for Pittsburgh’s Heinz Hall on Tuesday night.

The show was set to begin at 8 pm, but attendees claim Hill entered the venue as audience members were standing in line for refunds.

She supposedly did not take the stage until around 11:19 pm.

Hill has a history of complications with show times.

Last year, the “Ex-Factor” singer was tardy for a performance in Atlanta.

That situation drew widespread criticism and caused Hill to issue a statement.

She wrote in part:

I don’t show up late to shows because I don’t care. And I have nothing but Love and respect for my fans. The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn’t easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others. I don’t have an on/off switch. I am at my best when I am open, rested, sensitive and liberated to express myself as truthfully as possible.

Ms. Hill’s “The MLH Caravan: A Diaspora Calling!” concert series is supposed to continue in Cincinnati, Ohio on Thursday.

You may recall that Lex compared this project to Wiz’s “Cabin Fever” and Waka’s “Salute Me Or Shoot Me” and Taylor’s fans feel the same.

Joey Bada$$: I Was Put On This Earth To Inspire And To Wake People Up

(AllHipHop News) With all the political and social changes happening around the world right now, an emcee’s voice will become even more valuable for many of his or her fans.

“I personally feel like I was put on this Earth to inspire and to wake people up,” stated Joey Bada$$ in an interview with Beats 1’s Zane Lowe.

The Brooklyn native is looking to let loose his next project in the coming weeks, and according to Joey, A.A.B.A. will just be a taste of what he is capable of.

“This is not even half of my potential [on this album],” said Bada$$. “I am only 22. I don’t even know where I’ll be at 25.”

The Pro Era frontman first made waves in 2012 with his 1999 mixtape.

Bada$$ later released his debut studio album, B4.DA.$$, in 2015.

He recently dropped the single “Land of the Free.”

Hackers Interrupting Radio Broadcast To Play YG & Nipsey Hussle’s “FDT (F##k Donald Trump)”

(AllHipHop News) The listeners of a variety of radio stations in several states were shocked earlier this evening (January 31), when an anti Donald Trump song interrupted the normal broadcasts.

Over the past several days, radio stations in Seattle, Louisville, and a cable TV provider in North Carolina have had their signals hacked.

YG and Nipsey Hussle’s song “FDT (F##k Donald Trump” played, with the explicit references to President Donald Trump included.

On WFBS-FM in Salem, South Carolina the record played for at least 15 minutes, before station managers were able to reclaim the hijacked signal.

WFBS-FM has reported the incident to the FCC.

A Tribe Called Quest and Anderson .Paak Will Perform Together During Grammys

(AllHipHop News) Reports have been circulating that a variety of top name rappers will be boycotting the Grammys this year. ​

Rumors have suggested that top rappers like Drake, Kanye West and Frank Ocean had planned on skipping the festivities this year, in protest of the organization’s apparent lack of respect for hip-hop. ​

However, a variety of artists will be participating during the Grammy weekend. ​

Anderson .Paak and A Tribe Called Quest are slated to hit the stage together for a collaboration during the 59th annual ceremony. ​

Other artists to hit the stage during the event include The Weeknd and Daft Punk, Alicia Keys, Bruno Mars, John Legend and others.

​This year, a number of rappers are nominated for a Grammy Award. ​

Anderson .Paak and Chance the Rapper are up for Best New Artists, while other nominees include Desiigner, Chance the Rapper, Fat Joe, Remy Ma, French Montana and Infrared, ScHoolboy Q and others.

​The Grammys are taking place at the Staple Center in Los Angeles and air on Sunday, February 12th at 8:00PM ET. ​

AHH Stray News: Terrence J.’s New Deal, Trinidad James’ New Role, DJ Khaled’s New House

Rapper Trinidad James has joined the cast of “Pitch Perfect 3.” The Georgia-based hip hop star will play a member of a vocal group competing against Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson’s the “Barden Bellas” in the sequel. Hailee Steinfeld, Anna Camp, Ruby Rose, and Brittany Snow will also appear in the film, which is currently being shot in Atlanta with Trish Sie in the director’s chair.

Former 106 & Park host Terrence J has landed a first look deal with MTV and VH1. Terrence, who currently works as the host of “Are You The One?” and “America’s Next Top Model” live after show “Aftermatch,” will develop both shows to be considered for airing on both networks. Additionally, Terrence J will be an on air host for live events, after shows and original series for both MTV and VH1. “MTV and VH1 are some of the most iconic television brands in the world,” Terrence J said. “I grew up watching both and I can’t wait to bring my point of view in programming and personality to these networks and their loyal viewers.” In addition to his hosting duties, Terrence has starred in “Think Like A Man,” and “Think Like a Man 2,” in addition to penning a book titled “The Wealth of My Mother’s Wisdom.”

Rapper DJ Khaled has snapped up Robbie Williams’ former pad in Beverly Hills. The new dad paid a reported $9.9 million for the seven-bedroom mansion. Former “Take That” star Robbie bought the home from country singer Clint Black in 2002 and offloaded it to an unnamed music producer. DJ Khaled’s new palace features a recording studio, a swimming pool with a waterfall, and an outdoor kitchen.

Migos Say Their Ready To Perform During Super Bowl LI Halftime Show

(AllHipHop News) Rappers Migos are “ready to perform” at the Super Bowl Halftime Show if a petition calling for them to replace Lady Gaga ever comes to pass.

Rap fans have created a petition calling for the Atlanta group to take over Lady Gaga’s coveted performance slot on Sunday, when their hometown team the Atlanta Falcons go head to head with the New England Patriots.

In the Change.org petition, the fans suggest Migos perform their number one single “Bad and Boujee” and bring out Future, Outkast and Bun B, finishing with Jay Z and his hit “Big Pimpin’.”

They add, “If you’re gonna put on a show for billions THIS IS THE ONLY SHOW.”

The petition has achieved almost 56,500 signatures and will be delivered to bosses of the National Football League (NFL) if it reaches its target of 75,000.

The hip-hop trio were recently asked about the petition by Music Choice and they said they are onboard with the idea and ready to take to the stage at the NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

“I didn’t even know it was real, people really got signatures,” band member Quavo said. “Let’s do it… we ready to f##king perform… We got the Atlanta Falcons and we got the Atlanta trio. You got the greatest team (Falcons) and you got the greatest team (us)… it only makes sense, lets do it.”

Lady Gaga is set to perform during the Halftime Show while country star Luke Bryan will sing the U.S. national anthem and original Hamilton stars Phillipa Soo, Renee Elise Goldsberry and Jasmine Cephas Jones will perform “America the Beautiful.”

Pharrell and His Wife Welcome Triplets

(AllHipHop News) Hit producer Pharrell Williams and his wife Helen Lasichanh have given birth to triplets. ​
Pharrell and Helen announced they were expecting a baby in September, but the couple kept the news about having triplets under wraps.

While his representatives have not named the baby’s sexes or names, all three of the newborns are healthy and happy according to reports.

​It’s the fourth child for the couple, who also have an eight-year-old son named Rocket Ayer.

​It’s more good news for Pharrell and his family. ​The movie Pharrell produced “Hidden Figures,” recently won the Screen Actors Guild award for best ensemble. ​

And the movie is up for an Oscar as well. ​

Connor Evans Enlists Taylor Gang’s J.R. Donato For His New Single

Connor Evans kicks off 2017 with his new single titled “Go,” featuring Taylor Gang’s J.R. Donato. The two linked up at A3C this past year, which resulted in the two cooking up the record.

“Go” recap’s Connor’s 2016, which had it’s highs and lows, including a difficult cancer battle for his father. Here’s what he had to say about the track;

“I met J.R. through a mutual friend and actually ended up coming through his video shoot for “Trust No More”. I ended up in the video and we grabbed some grub afterwards and vibed… the next day after I performed at A3C I came through to show love at his show. We decided to get in the studio that night and cooked up a couple records. “Go” is just me getting a lot off my chest talking about all the crazy s### that’s been happening in my life: everything from having my records spun in 40/40, to my dad getting cancer and fighting that while I’m on the road, to leaving my hometown and not wanting to return until they book me for Coachella. It’s just like a big f### you to anyone who’s doubted me, I’m making this s### go no matter who doubts or what obstacles get in my way. I love the energy J.R. brought to the record. In an era where mother f###### are afraid to make actual rap songs me and J.R. straight spit for an entire record and we showed why the f### people need to be paying attention to us as that next class of cats to really watch.”

Director Antoine Fuqua Drops Out Of “Scarface” Remake

(AllHipHop News) Antoine Fuqua has pulled out of directing the “Scarface” remake due to a scheduling clash.

The “Training Day” director came onboard the project last summer and was due to helm a modern-day reimagining of the gangster classic, which starred Al Pacino in 1983 and Paul Muni in the 1932 original.

However, he has now had to drop out of the project as it clashes with the sequel to his 2014 movie “The Equalizer,” which Sony studio executives reportedly want to be made as soon as possible.

They need Antoine to concentrate on finishing developing the script, which he has been working on for some time, according to Variety.com.

Sources told the website Antoine wanted to do “Scarface” and his team had been trying to figure out a way to do both, but Universal studios executives are already holding meetings to find a replacement so they can keep their production deadlines and shoot in the spring.

The most recent draft of the script has been written by “Boardwalk Empire” creator Terence Winter and “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” actor Diego Luna is attached to star as a Mexican immigrant living in Los Angeles.

Antoine discussed the relevance of the plot in a chat with Fandago.com in September, when the election of Donald Trump for U.S. President was looming.

“I read the script they have and it’s actually really interesting and very timely,” he said. “The promise is that everyone gets a fair shot, but that’s not always the case. So that’s always relevant, and right now with what’s happening in Mexico, which is where the main character comes from – he comes out of Mexico – that’s relevant, especially when you’ve got people talking about putting up walls and other kinds of stuff.”

Pacino played a Cuban immigrant in Miami, Florida in the 1983 gangster classic, directed by Brian De Palma, while Muni played an Italian in Chicago, Illinois.

It was based on late crime writer Armitage Trail’s 1929 novel of the same name, which was inspired by real-life mob boss Al Capone.

Is Drake Biting This Florida Rapper’s Sound?

(AllHipHop Rumors) It looks like the Champagne Papi is always being accused of being an artist who lacks originality.

If it isn’t a mystery ghostwriter popping out the closet, it’s someone else accusing the 6 God of biting their style or their sound.

Drake recently premiered a new track in Amsterdam and it wasn’t long before his flow sparked a debate.

Twitter users heard a resemblance in Drake’s new flow and the flow of the buzzing SoundCloud rapper, XXXTentacion. Everyone didn’t agree, but some certainly said they could hear it.

As far as some of Drake’s new music, quite a few believe that he’s been stealing Xxxtentacion’s style.

XXXTentacion, is a rapper out of Broward County, Florida (the same hometown as Kodak Black). He has a pretty solid following through his SoundCloud.

Some feel that it’s just noisy trap music though. The rapper is also currently in jail for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend.

Apparently XXX’s manager tweeted from the rapper’s account acknowledging the similarities between XXX and Drake’s flows.

“@KodakBlack1k What’s up with this f-ck !!!!! Drake bruh. Jit buggin like f-ck,” read one tweet.

Drake followed XXX earlier this month also, so it seems that he’s familiar with the rapper’s music. Some even believe that Lil Uzi Vert may have also been an inspiration behind Drake’s new flow.

Killer Mike Hosts 83-Year-Old Activist Jane Elliott At Run The Jewels Show

(AllHipHop News) It looks like famed activist Jane Elliott is a fan of hip-hop music.

The 83-year-old creator of the controversial “Blue Eyes/Brown Eyes” study turned up at a Run The Jewels concert in South Dakota.

Her experiment, which was conducted in a classroom shortly after Martin Luther King was assassinated, showed students of different races what it was like to be discriminated against based on color.

Since then, Elliott has taught the method, which was chronicled in the Frontline documentary “A Class Divided,” at corporate seminars, colleges, and prisons around the country.

Killer Mike labeled Elliott his “friend” and “teacher.”

“You have sacrificed so much,” Killer Mike wrote on a post with a picture. “Thank U for all your work and thank u for Coming out to our Show. I am humbled and honored to host u.”

Jane Elliott still believes her teachings are just as relevant in 2017, especially in light of the climate around the country, since Donald Trump’s ‘Muslim Ban” last Friday.

“I want people to know there’s only one race on the face of the earth, and that’s the human race. We’re all three-hundred and fifty-fifth cousin of everybody else,” Elliott told the Des Moines Register. “And that can be applied to religion too.”

Is Young M.A. A “Fake Lesbian”?

(AllHipHop Rumors) It looks like Young M.A. is getting accused of faking her persona again.

As you know Young M.A. has been very open with her sexuality, especially through her lyrics. She holds nothing back letting you know that the girls are texting her phone sexually, and she keeps her an eight inch [d####] in the closet.

M.A. has certainly been trying to be Mrs. Steal Your Girl since she hit the scene. Interestingly enough, on multiple occasions some people have accused her of being a “fake lesbian” to push her music and to add hype. I guess they are saying that’s what her “gimmick” is.

Fellow female rapper Mulann Milla even accused MA of stealing her swag just to sell music. Milla said that she wasn’t even really gay. Hell, she also claimed that she knocked out M.A. in the past. Milla might’ve been trying to get a name for herself, or maybe she knows something we don’t know.

Others have claimed that M.A. had a much more feminine look in the past. I don’t know if it was because she was younger and her family may not have tolerated it, or if she’s hiding something from us.

Anyway, and older photo of a younger, softer, and more feminine M.A. has surfaced, and get this, she was even wearing a dress. The picture sparked much talk and even a little debate. Because M.A. obviously has a v#####, men commented that they definitely found her attractive in the younger photo, and shockingly some said they still like her in her “masculine style.”

Some folks who claimed to be insiders said that she used to be the girly type in the past with the long hair out and make up. Another said she’s not really gay because their male cousin had hit that recently, by recently they said in the last two years.

I don’t know, Young M.A. seems pretty authentic to me. Would you hit the old M.A. lol?

Guess Who Admits That He Is A Crazy Stalker!

Will There Be Another Attack On Chief Keef Accuser Ramsay Tha Great?

(AllHipHop Rumors) To be honest, I’m worried about this kid’s safety.

Well Chief Keef if you didn’t do it, or whether you did it or not, this would be a great time to drop some new music.

So as you know, producer Ramsay Tha Great has accused Chief Keef and his crew of breaking in his home, robbing him, and beating him pretty badly.

Ramsay is certainly not in line with that garbage azz no snitch policy, as he’s told it ALL.

According to Ramsay he explains that he feels like “Black Lives Matter”, and people shouldn’t be upset with him for reporting the crime. Instead he feels like folks should be upset with Chief Keef for kicking down his door and beating him with an Ak-47.

People will do anything for fame these days, so despite Ramsay obviously being beaten pretty badly with visible bruises, I still feel like there’s something he may be leaving out. I don’t want to say he made this thing up, but eh something is definitely missing.

Anyway, you know people love to milk a press run, so Ramsay recently appeared on TMZ. When they asked him if he’d been receiving any other threats from Chief and crew, he said someone wrote on his Instagram that he’d better shut up before they break his other arm.

I don’t wish bad on anyone, but I think things could get worse for this kid, and they could end badly. Chief said he was done beefing with folks, so let’s hope everyone just moves on.
