(AllHipHop News) Tyler, The Creator is returning to television.

After leading Adult Swim’s Loiter Squad for three seasons, Tyler is now headed to Viceland.

The new series, Nuts + Bolts, will begin airing on the cable channel starting August 3.

“Nuts + Bolts is the show describing how everything I think is awesome is made,” says Tyler in the show’s trailer. “And what I learn, I make something from it.”

Scientific TV stars Neil deGrasse Tyson and Bill Nye appear in the teaser too.

Tyler spent the last week tweeting about a countdown to an announcement before the Nuts + Bolts clip debuted on the Gold Media Twitter account on Thursday night.

The Odd Future rapper joins Action Bronson, Desus Nice, The Kid Mero, Michael K. Williams, Jamali Maddix, Eddie Huang, Dr. Siri Sat Nam Singh, and others as hosts on Viceland.

Tyler, the Creator’s relationship with the Vice Media network was first announced in 2016.

(AllHipHop Rumors) A report by the Associated News has revealed that Beyonce is not really feeling Kim Kardashian, even in the midst of giving birth to twins.

The twins have already been showered with love, gifts and all sorts of media coverage. I know that Kanye and Jay are the link here, but this seems to be a huge rift. KK gave Beyonce over $10,000 in her and Kanye’s clothing line. On top of it all, Kim sent Beyonce a KKW contouring kits, in a gold box that has a street value of $150,000.

By the way, I don’t know what a contouring kit is, but a quick search on google says its make up. Why would she send Beyonce that? ANYWAY!

However, Beyonce did a good deed with all the stuff she got. She allegedly gave all of the clothing to people that worked at the hospital! That’s when you have money!

A source told Heat magazine, the facts as they heard it:

“She thought that, because they weren’t even out yet, Bey would love it. She also sent about $10k worth of clothes for Blue from her and Kanye’s sold-out children’s fashion line and she’d had some pieces specially tailored for the infants.”

(AllHipHop News) Members of the Wu-Tang Clan recently sat down with Montreality.

The legendary Hip Hop crew discussed the passing of Prodigy, New York City emcees, and “mumble rappers.”

“Havoc and Prodigy both were advanced beyond their years, some emcees don’t get good until they’re 25, but at 19 the kid was already nice,” said RZA.

Raekwon added, “Me and Prodigy had a relationship for over 20 years…  I always told him, his ear for beats was golden. That’s my family right there.”

The Wu then mentioned some of their favorite current rappers from NYC.

Dave East, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, Young M.A, Joey Bada$$, A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, and Uncle Murda got shout outs from the Staten Island representatives.

When asked about the sub-genre that has become known as mumble rap, RZA responded with support for the artists connected to the description.

“Music is music. We come from an era where you had to have dope lyrics, but we don’t discriminate,” stated the production wizard. “They can co-exist. And what is mumble rap? Who made that title? I bet the guys who’s doing it, they didn’t call it mumble rap. That’s what the media calls it. Let them make their music and have fun.”

RZA then offered some advice, “To anybody out there who’s sipping on that syrup that’s making you mumble, leave the syrup alone.”

Metro Boomin Officially Launches Boominati Worldwide Record Label

(AllHipHop News) Back in February, Metro Boomin talked about starting his own record label.

The hit-making producer officially launched Boominati Worldwide this week.

“I created the label to represent a collective of highly gifted individuals who have the shared gift of being able to influence the world through culture and art,” said Metro in a statement.

The “Bad and Boujee,” “Mask Off,” and “Congratulations” beat maker also posted about his new company on social media.

“It’s go time… BOOMINATI WORLDWIDE IS ABOUT TAKING BLESSINGS AND SPREADING THEM,” wrote Metro on Instagram.

The first release from the Republic/UMG imprint is the Metro Boomin record “No Complaints” featuring Drake and Migos member Offset.

Boominati plans to sign new artists as well.

In addition, Metro Boomin is scheduled to open for R&B singer Bryson Tiller on the “Set It Off” tour.

(AllHipHop News) Yet another mysterious commercial for the forthcoming JAY-Z album has made its way to Tidal.

The latest 4:44 video features Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave, Black Panther).

“MaNyfaCedGod” arrives after the “Kill Jay Z” and “Adnis” ads.

4:44 is also supposedly associated with an NC-17 film starring Mahershala Ali, Danny Glover, and Nyong’o.

JAY’s latest album is being released as part of the new Tidal/Sprint partnership.

Sprint president/CEO Marcelo Claure stated, “JAY-Z is a global icon and we’re giving customers an incredible opportunity to be among the first to experience his new album 4:44.”

Tonight, fans in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Las Vegas, Miami, Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, and DC can experience 4:44 at listening parties hosted at select Sprint stores.

The album is scheduled for release on June 30.

Kanye West Reportedly Planning To Resume Touring In Early 2018

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s 2016 “Saint Pablo Tour” ended abruptly following his reported mental breakdown last fall.

According to TMZ, Kanye is in talks to return to the road in early 2018 with new effects and a new set list.

A source connected to Live Nation told the website, “We’re ready to jump as soon as he gives the green light.”

West officially canceled 21 dates of the “Saint Pablo Tour” in November.

Soon after, he was hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center for exhaustion and psychiatric observation.

The 40-year-old Chicago native is apparently healthy now.

Reports began circulating in January that Kanye was interested in continuing his tour at that time.

Ye has mostly remained away from the public spotlight over the last several months, but the “All Day” rhymer was said to be working on a new album at a Wyoming mountaintop retreat.

In a February interview, G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha T confirmed his boss is recording new music.

Kanye’s last studio LP was 2016’s platinum-certified The Life of Pablo.

Kap G Announces Joint Mixtape With Chris Brown (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Chris Brown just teamed up with Ray J for the Burn My Name mixtape.

Apparently, the R&B superstar is next set to drop another joint project with 2017 XXL Freshman Kap G.

“Me and Chris Brown are releasing a mixtape soon, and right now, I’m just working on my album,” Kap told the publication.

The Pharrell Williams protégé already has a discography that includes Real Migo Sh*t, Like a Mexican, El Southside, and SupaJefe.

Kap G was also featured in the Pharrell-produced film Dope.

“They said, ‘I want you to audition for this Dope movie.’ I was like, ‘Cool, I’m with it.'” explained the Atlanta representative in a 2016 interview with AllHipHop.com. “I play a character named Fidel. He’s like this Mexican gangster dude. They didn’t really want me to play it at first. They wanted more of the typical cholo with a bald head and tattoos all over. They gave me a try, and when I got on set they were happy with what I did.”

Besides rapping and acting, Kap G is also one of the faces of Sprite’s new “Cold Lyrics Series” campaign, along with Vince Staples, Vic Mensa, D.R.A.M., Lil Yachty, and Kamaiyah.

Irv Gotti Defends Controversial Lynching Scene In ‘Tales’

(AllHiphop Rumors) The first episode of Irv Gotti’s BET Show ‘Tales’ was packed with all kinds of shockers and plot twists.

As if Brody Jenner hanging from a tree, lynched, wasn’t enough, the entire episode flipped society and it’s racism and discrimination.

The first episode was based on N.W.A.’s “F- tha Police” lyrics, but producers flipped the races.

The violent and discriminatory cops as well as the rich people were all black. The white people were switched to be the minority living in the projects.

Irv is taking Hip Hop songs and turning them into episodes. Apparently Irv Gotti chose to make the first episode the way he did in hopes that white people would understand the problems still existing in our society, if these things were done to white people.

Irv wanted white people and other races to have a little bit more compassion when innocent black people get shot and killed.

What did you think about the series and the lynching part?

“I wanted to explain this scene. I put it in the ending Riot scene at the end with D’Angelo “How Does It Feel” playing. Because I wanted to show in reverse. What Hollywood always shows Black People. Reminds us of the fact that our ancestors Hung from a Tree. So it goes with the whole Race Reversal Vibe of the episode. And who did I call to get hung. MY F###### BROTHER. @brodyjenner who was totally down for what I was trying do. And the message I was trying to get across. Which by the way. Is a message that what’s wrong is wrong. Doesn’t matter if someone is Black. White. Spanish. Indian. Asian. What’s wrong is wrong. And these cops need to get PUNISHED. For killing innocent people. So maybe seeing it done to White People. In this FICTIONALIZE piece. And seeing these things done to them. Maybe people will have a lil more compassion when 12 year old Tamir Rice gets gunned down. Or Philando Castillo gets killed for nothing. Or Alton Sterling and Eric Gardner. Trayvon Martin. The list is too long and needs to stop. So I thank Brody Jenner. And my brother @paul_smenus NICK CASSAVETE. Who portrayed Rodney King. I hope everyone got the message. I really want everyone to get emotional about what they seen. And remember. Treach Claims Biggie Didn’t Set Up Tupac

(AllHipHop Rumors) Naughy By Nature’s Treach took a moment to reflect on the good old days of the golden era of Hip Hop with DJ Vlad.

While discussing the past, Treach took a moment to reflect on being friends with Tupac and Biggie, and their untimely deaths.

Treach made it clear that he doesn’t believe Biggie set up Pac, and he revealed that he believes that Biggie was actually afraid of some of the street dudes that were around him. Basically he explained that sometimes people could not be directly involved in a beef, but their crew may take it into their own hands.

“Once Pac introduced me to Biggie, Biggie was my n-gga. What Pac didn’t understand at the time like Biggie wasn’t a street dude n-gga. He was one of the greatest of all time and a great lyricist, but Biggie was basically telling stories of the ghetto he grew up in,” said Treach.

“Pac didn’t understand that Biggie probably feared these MF, but Biggie loved Pac, and Pac’s problem was Biggie couldn’t talk or go to none of them because he wasn’t that street n-gga……Did Biggie set Pac up, I’m gonna say hell f-cking no,” said Treach.”

Is BET’s Chairman & CEO Debra Lee Exiting Soon?

Days after the successful 2017 BET Awards, rumors are swirling that BET’s Chairman & CEO Debra Lee is planning to make her exit to take another job opportunity.

According to Page Six, inside sources have been making claims that the company isn’t doing well under the CEO’s leadership.

“Tons of people from Viacom were saying that her days are numbered,” claim an insider.

A source also claimed Lee moved to Los Angeles in hopes of possibly getting into some studios.

“She’s been running the place, and it’s struggling . . . There are so many layers of internal politics . . . It takes 20 calls to get through one insignificant thing,” an insider told Page Six.

Another insider told Page Six that the rumors of Lee leaving Viacom and BET are inaccurate.

Earlier this year there was a serious shake up at Viacom and BET with the former president of programming, Stephen Hill exiting, and the network being slapped with a discrimination lawsuit by employee Zola Mashariki.

G-Eazy Named Partner And Co-Creative Director For Stillhouse Spirits

(AllHipHop News) Bay Area rapper G-Eazy can now add more titles to his résumé.

The man born Gerald Gillum connected with Stillhouse Spirits Co. CEO/Founder Brad Beckerman to serve as a partner and co-creative director for the award-winning whiskey business.

“Spirits companies had approached me with endorsement deals but that was just money. I kept running into Stillhouse everywhere and fell in love with the brand not to mention its smooth whiskey,” says G-Eazy. “I wanted to partner with Brad because he has this infectious energy and passion for the brand he’s continuing to grow. We hit it off quick with an instant shared vision and love for Stillhouse.”

G-Eazy’s investment in Stillhouse is his first spirits venture, and the financing closes a significant round of funding for the company.

“We had an instant bond – in my gut, I knew that G would make an amazing partner and contributor to Stillhouse because of his drive, creativity, and meticulousness,” adds Beckerman, a former Chief Creative Officer at Live Nation. “Stillhouse blends nostalgia and heritage with just the right amount of irreverence and G pushes the envelope to elevate that further.”

The next goal for the new partnership is to pursue expansion into the Louisiana market, which happens to be the location of G-Eazy’s alma mater Loyola University New Orleans.

“I’m honored and excited to represent my second home and old stomping grounds. Can’t wait for NOLA to see what we have coming!” shared the When It’s Dark Out creator.

Besides releasing his own gold/platinum albums, G-Eazy also appeared on 2017 projects by Wale (Shine) and Raekwon (The Wild).

Gucci Mane & Mike Will Made It To Headline Spotify’s “RapCaviar Live” Concert Series In Atlanta

(AllHipHop News) One of Spotify’s biggest playlists is becoming a 6-city concert series.

The streaming company announced its “RapCaviar Live” will kick off with Trap music pioneer Gucci Mane, acclaimed producer Mike Will Made It, and special guests.

Atlanta’s The Tabernacle venue will host the hometown Hip Hop stars on August 12.

“Proud to partner with Gucci Mane on this incarnation of the RapCaviar vibe,” said Tuma Basa, Head of Hip-Hop at Spotify. “Gucci was an early believer in what we are doing and it’s gonna be beautiful to see it manifest live. Taking RapCaviar on the road was just a dream for us a few years ago. This is an important milestone for Spotify, for RapCaviar, and for hip-hop in the streaming age.”

“RapCaviar Live” is also headed to Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, and Toronto with additional dates and artists announced in the coming weeks.

The RapCaviar Spotify playlist has over 7 million followers.

It features tunes by hitmakers such as Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole, Future, Meek Mill, French Montana, Travis Scott, Big Sean, and more.

2 Chainz Talks Earning His Third #1 Rap Album With ‘Pretty Girls Like Trap Music’

(AllHipHop News) 2 Chainz’s Pretty Girls Like Trap Music nearly doubled its first-week sales predictions by collecting 106,000 units out of the gate.

The Atlanta native was just around 3,000 units short of topping Lorde’s Melodrama for the #1 spot on the Billboard 200.

Chainz was not able to lead that chart, but Pretty Girls Like Trap Music did earn him his third #1 on the Rap Albums Chart.

2012’s Based on a T.R.U. Story and 2013’s B.O.A.T.S. II: Me Time were chart toppers as well.

Billboard spoke with the “Good Drank” performer at the NBA Awards red carpet on Monday.

“I feel real good. I feel real blessed and humbled by it,” said Chainz about PGLTM hitting #1 on the Rap Albums Chart. “Hard work pays off. I prayed for this album to be number one. I put a lot of effort into this album. I put a lot of resources together for this album, so it feels good to celebrate it on a night like tonight.”

The commercial success of 2 Chainz’s latest project is complemented by critical praise.

Pretty Girls Like Trap Music currently has an 82/100 score on Metacritic, making it one of the best reviewed Hip Hop albums of 2017.

“Panda” Producer Menace Apologizes To Kanye West, Future & Mike Dean

(AllHipHop News) One year ago, Adnan “Menace” Khan was known as the producer behind one of the biggest records in the country.

Desiigner reportedly paid the beat maker $200 for the track that became the G.O.O.D Music artist’s #1 hit “Panda.”

Recently, Menace has gotten more attention for his public comments than his production.

In an interview with DJ Booth, Menace claimed Atlanta rhymer Future and veteran engineer Mike Dean were pursuing legal action against him over “Panda.”

Future’s representative denied filing a copyright infringement lawsuit, and Dean stated he dropped his complaint.

Menace also implied Kanye West did not pay him for sampling “Panda” on “Father Stretch My Hands Pt.” off Ye’s The Life Of Pablo album.

“I doubt Kanye’s paid anyone, to be honest,” said Menace during the interview. “Kanye’s a funny one when it comes to paying people money.”

The 23-year-old British national is now offering an apology to Future, Dean, and West.

Menace tweeted a note that reads:

I want to formally apologize to Mike Dean, Kanye, Future and their respective teams for releasing unfounded and sensitive information to the media that could have potentially affected their professional integrity. They have always been an immense source of inspiration for me and they will always be extremely influential to my work and my development as a producer. I hope that, with time, they will all be able to accept my apologizes.

Chance The Rapper, Lauryn Hill & Yasiin Bey Added To Dave Chappelle’s NYC Residency

(AllHipHop News) Dave Chappelle had already recruited Childish Gambino, The Roots, and Erykah Badu for his upcoming stand-up residency at Radio City Music Hall.

Vibe reports the comedic legend has now added Chance The Rapper, Ms. Lauryn Hill, and Yasiin Bey to the New York City performances.

Besides Hip Hop acts hitting the stage on select dates, Chappelle will also be joined by fellow comedians Chris Rock, Trevor Noah, and Ali Wong.

More special guests are expected to be announced as well.

The Radio City Music Hall gig follows Chappelle’s two highly successful Netflix routines.

Offset Announces Migos’ ‘Culture 2’ Album To Arrive October 2017 (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Coming out of the 2017 BET Awards, Migos made major headlines for their tense interview with Everyday Struggle and a confrontation with associates of Chris Brown.

One Migos member is now trying to change the conversation back to his group’s music.

The Hollywood Fix caught Offset in Beverly Hills, and he took advantage of the opportunity to announce a sequel to the trio’s popular 2017 album.

“Culture 2 coming out [in] October,” said the Atlanta-bred rhymer.

The original Culture features the hit songs “T-Shirt” and “Bad and Boujee” featuring Lil Uzi Vert.

It became Migos’ first album to reach #1 on the Billboard 200 chart and helped them win the trophies for Best Group and Best Collaboration at Sunday’s BET Awards.

Offset also made it clear Migos are not adding more security after the two highly publicized scuffles over the weekend.

 

Prodigy’s New York City Funeral Service Will Be Open To The Public

(AllHipHop News) Fans, friends, and family of Mobb Deep rapper Albert “Prodigy” Johnson are still grieving from his unexpected passing.

People will get to say goodbye to the “Keep It Thoro” rhymer at a funeral on June 29.

The services at New York City’s Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel will be open to the public from 2 to 5 pm.

Memorials for The Notorious B.I.G., Aaliyah, Heavy D, and other celebrities have been held at Frank E. Campbell as well.

Surviving Mobb Deep member Havoc was among the Hip Hop representatives to take part in the “A Toast To Prodigy” event held in Los Angeles.

Havoc also honored his musical partner at Sunday night’s BET Awards.

(AllHipHop News) JAY-Z is returning with his thirteenth solo album, 4:44, this Friday.

However, the Brooklyn emcee/mogul is not saying much about the forthcoming project.

Things get even more cryptic with the release of a TIDAL X Sprint 4:44 commercial titled “Kill Jay Z.”

The black-and-white clip just features a young man running while wearing a “stay black” t-shirt.

There is speculation JAY’s new album is possibly connected to a film starring Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danny Glover.

In addition, No I.D. is rumored to be producing the entire project.

What has been confirmed is 4:44 will be available exclusively to Tidal members and Sprint customers on June 30.
