(AllHipHop News) Last week, Detroit rapper Big Sean and Ellen DeGeneres made a surprise visit to a North Carolina classroom.
Once there, they helped 29-year-old teacher Mr. Bonner make a rap video for his song “Read It.”
The video was the concept of 29-year-old North Carolina teacher, Michael Bonner , who teaches second graders at Greenville Elementary.
Mr. Bonner decided to teach his students through rap after a group of the youngsters failed a reading test.
He began incorporating music into his classroom teaching.
Mr. Bonner promised the students if they pass the reading test, they could make a rent video about what they had learned.
The result was the video “Read It,” which caught the eyes of TV Host Ellen Degeneres.
“What really inspired me for the video was to see my students grow academically, particularly the African American boys in my classroom,” Mr. Bonner said. “Our school is a Title One school which means we have a very high poverty rate. FBI statistics show that one out of three African American boys go to prison. I have 12 in my class. I know education is the key to overcoming poverty and the catalyst to them getting a head start on life. That was my motivation for making the music video an incentive.”
Ellen flew the class of students out last week and put them in a recording studio and surprised the students with artist Big Sean, who help them shoot the video for “Read It.”
Mr. Bonner made an appearance on Ellen in January, as well, where she gifted him tens of thousand dollars worth of electronic equipment.

(AllHipHop Rumors) Uh oh! It looks like y’all have to cancel yall’s plans to attend the most anticipated fight of the year!
According to Soulja Boy, the fight is off because Chris Brown’s manager allegedly called his manager and said that Breezy isn’t going to sign the contract.
“Don’t ask me about the sh-t no more,” said SB.
You know Soulja Boy couldn’t stop with just one tweet. Oh no; he unloaded an entire rant.
“Can’t believe this n-gga scared to fight me. Sign the contract b-tch a-s n-gga set up the boxing match. I caught two fades in the street since this whole beef sh-t and I won both fights I guess Chris must heard and got scared. lol come on boy.”
Soulja says he’s pretty disappointed that Chris Brown would talk all of that sh-t only to back down from signing the paperwork. Big Gucci Soulja says Breezy didn’t want to catch those hands, and he warns Brown not to call his phone ever again over the beef or over a girl.
While Soulja Boy has put out his own claims about the fight, The Game’s manager, Wack 100 says Chris Brown still hasn’t signed off on the fight with MissAtlantaBompton’s very own Big Gucci Young Draco Soulja Boy.
In most people’s opinions, the beef and the fight were stupid to begin with. Surely by now, no one can care about this fight. It looks like Breezy has moved on and he is only concerned with his forthcoming ‘Party’ tour, as he should be!

(AllHipHop News) Drake has fired back at criticism from Kanye West revealing he has no idea what point his rival rapper is trying to make.
During an appearance on Beats 1’s OVO Sound Radio, Drake responded to comments Kanye made onstage during a Saint Pablo Tour date last year, when he took aim at radio station bosses for overplaying music by the Canadian and DJ Khaled.
“I think everybody has their own little things going on,” Drake said. “I’m not really sure what he’s referring to half the time because, in the same breath, I went from working on a project with him to him sort of, like, publicly s##ting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much.
“When I hear that, I just distance myself from it. If that’s what it is, I don’t even really understand the point you’re trying to make, but whatever it is that you’re going through, I accept it. I don’t respect it at all.”
“Me and Khaled are both just, like, good people,” he added. “I’m not really sure why we’re the target of your choice that you made that night. But again, I accept what you’re going through.”
Kanye halted his tour just before he was hospitalized following a reported breakdown.
Prosecutors originally arrested Taylor just hours after the shooting and charged him with suspicion of murder.
According to the Caller Times,Taylor went directly to the local police directly after the shooting and admitted his involvement.
According to lawyers for Jesse Wayne Taylor, he acted in self-defense and criticized the local D.A. for bringing the case in front of a grand jury almost a year and a-half after the killing.
Soooooo remember last year when news hit that rapper Rocko was suing Future for $10 million for allegedly breaching a contract in regards to Future’s agreement to make six albums under Rocko’s A1 Recordings?!
Future of course got in his feelings previously and went in on Rocko, and followed up by trying to contersue the rapper over unpaid advances.
Welp rumor hit recently that Rocko was allegedly victorious with his lawsuit against Future. Word on the curb is that a judge has ruled in Rocko’s favor requiring Future to pay Rocko 50% of his tour revenue as well as giving Rocko the royalties of Future’s next two albums.
Now get this, Rocko has seemed to kind of deny that this ruling or any type of settlement has taken place, with Instagram posts that hint at fake news from various sites, and with a post that asks where do people even get these stories from.
Although the public may be a little off with the facts, Rocko doesn’t seem like the type to want the details of a ruling to hit the public anyway. He doesn’t want or need yall counting his pockets. Well although Rocko seems to suggests that he knows nothing about any such ruling, fans couldn’t help but to think that Rocko posting and promoting Future’s new album on Instagram was mighty strange, esepcially since no one has heard of any reconciliation or any resolution with the lawsuit.
What are your thoughts? Do you think Rocko is trying to keep everything on the hush hush and spare Future from any further embarrassment?! What’s really going on here?! It def seems like Rocko was King Petty and King Troll with him promoting the album all of sudden. Rocko has also since deleted the Future album post also.

Either Scottie Pippen and Larsa Pippen have an understanding/ open relationship in place or, Future just doesn’t GAF!
While Larsa has steadily maintained that her and Future are just friends, there’s so much else that suggests otherwise, from the parties they were spotted at together, from Future’s disses to Scottie on social media and in his recent music, to Future’s latest post under one of Larsa’s IG posts.
Future was already named as the homewrecker that allegedly made Scottie previously file for divorce from Larsa, and now he wants yall to know that he still has love for Pippen’s Mrs. Super savage!
Larsa posted a photo Instagram along with the caption,
“The heart wants what the heart wants.”
Future wasted no time commenting under the photo sayng,
“Forever.”

(AllHipHop News) Donald Trump is still facing heavy criticism for his proposed immigration policies, including the controversial travel ban for seven Muslim-majority countries.
Thousands of people gathered in New York City’s Times Square on Sunday for the “I Am A Muslim Too” rally.
Hip Hop mogul Russell Simmons was one of the notable figures to take part in the protest.
New York mayor Bill de Blasio and award-winning actress Susan Sarandon spoke at the rally as well.
According to reports, representatives from various religious backgrounds as well as civil rights advocates were also among the speakers to address the crowd.
Simmons documented the event on his Instagram page.
“Amazing show of solidarity. Good start. We have work to do,” wrote the Def Jam co-founder on IG.
“Remember that if you make a dangerous move, the people will be at your front door – I am sure you heard the 100,000 people who showed up last night in front of your New York City apartment,” expressed Simmons at the time. “The numbers will only grow and they will be in front of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue every night for four years. And I will be there with them.”
A federal judge issued a nationwide temporary restraining order to halt Trump’s Executive Order calling for the travel ban, and the court decision was upheld by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
The Trump Administration is expected to draft a new Executive Order in order to pursue its policy of blocking citizens of Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen from entering the United States.
(AllHipHop News) Drake doesn’t want his 2017 Grammy Awards because it “feels weird” to accept rap prizes for what he considers a pop song.
The singer won the Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Rap Song for his track “Hotline Bling” at the Los Angeles prize-giving on February 12, but Drake isn’t happy with the outcome as he disagrees with the genre the song was placed in.
“I’m apparently a rapper, even though “Hotline Bling” is not a rap song,” Drake said during the OVO Sound radio show on Beats 1.
“The only category they can manage to fit me in is in a rap category, maybe because I’ve rapped in the past or because I’m black. I can’t figure out why,” Drake said. “I won two awards, but I don’t even want them because it just feels weird for some reason. It just doesn’t feel right to me.”
Drake also said he feels like he is being “purposefully” alienated by Grammys organizers who are “making” him win rap awards or trying to “pacify” him by putting him on the shortlist for rap awards because they don’t know how else to categorize him.
The rapper/singer, who conducted the interview the day after the awards ceremony, added he was proud to have made a pop song that was “one of the biggest songs of the year” and although he loves the rap community, he can’t understand why he gets no credit for his pop achievements.
The 30-year-old, who said he aspires to be like Michael Jackson, also revealed he had been approached to cancel two of his London concerts so he could attend the ceremony but he turned it down.
The European leg of his Boy Meets World tour began at the end of January and is currently in Dublin, Ireland.
