Desiigner: Before They Were Famous

Desiigner was chopping’ bricks like Jackie Chan!!!! The dude got shot at 14 and a bunch of other stuff! This white gentleman dug deep and got all the info on the dude that sounds a lot like Future. BUT, Desiigner’s energy is off the chain. I don’t know if you care, but I have to admit, I watched the entire thing. Check out where future came from and where he may be going. The “Panda” rapper is more interesting than I expected.

EXCLUSIVE: Adrien Broner Says Deal With Jay Z’s Roc Nation Could Have Stopped Him From Making A Billion Dollars (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Adrien Broner is not one to be shy when it comes to talking about money. The boxing star known as The Problem even adopted the phrase “About Billions” as his personal brand. In a new interview with AllHipHop.com, AB explains how his goal of reaching 10 figures prevented him from signing a $40 million deal with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports.

“I’m gonna make more than that,” responded Broner when asked about rejecting the Roc offer. “Take $40 million to stop me from making a billion?”

The Cincinnati native continued, “It’s a difference when you ain’t never touched no money or you don’t see what you can do. But I really see and I know what I’m going to do.”

Broner did admit he could have worded his public statements about not signing to Roc Nation differently. In 2015, AB suggested Jay could “suck my d-ck” for only proposing $40 million for five years. He later apologized for the comment.

Suge Knight Replaces Lawyer Handling His Murder Trial – Again

(AllHipHop News) Marion “Suge” Knight has replaced yet another lawyer involved in his murder trial. On Monday, the co-founder of Death Row Records informed the judge in his case that he removed defense attorney Thaddeus Culpepper as his head counsel.

A specific reason for Culpepper’s removal was not presented, but another judge warned the lawyer about possible sanctions after he alleged authorities were conspiring to deprive Knight of his constitutional rights.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William Ryan threatened to hold Culpepper in contempt of court is he continued to make those accusations.

The law firm of Lessem, Newstat & Tooson are now the sixth legal team to represent Knight. Culpepper is expected to remain on as a co-counselor.

In addition, Culpepper is still currently representing Knight in a robbery case which also involved comedian Katt Williams.

“We strongly caution anyone from rushing to judgment in this case based on Mr. Knight’s past,” said defense attorney J. Tooson. “We believe the evidence will show that on the day in question, Mr. Knight was ambushed by several perpetrators armed with firearms. While under attack, Mr. Knight attempted to flee for his life.”

Knight has insisted he was defending himself during the January 2015 incident which caused the death of Terry Carter. Cle “Bone” Sloan was also injured. Knight was charged with murder, attempted murder, and hit-and-run.

Guess Who The Kids Mistook Nas For?

The young ones are so funny. So, XXL recently reposted a photo that Diddy posted of himself with Nas and Future. XXL captioned the photo,

“Esco x Puff x Future.”

The comment section was hilariously in shambles as people tried to “correct” XXL telling them that it was Nas, and not Future’s DJ, DJ Esco.

DJ Esco even trended on Twitter for a bit. The kids won’t even do a five second google search these days for the sake of Hip Hop history or simply to find out rapper’s alternate nicknames.

Awww the kids know nothing about Nasty Nas, nothing about Escobar.

Who is Joey Bada$$ Calling Out?

Joey Bada$$ took time out over the weekend to call out the mediocre rappers in the game. Well kind of. We guess to put some “respeck” on the rappers names, he didn’t drop any names or @ anyone, but he did bring up some interesting points.

He says rappers aren’t even inspiring those trying to get into the game to be great. According to him, they are doing the exact opposite with encouraging the young kids to take the easy way out and make “bubblegum” sounding music. He went on to say that rappers are afraid to speak up about how terrible other rappers are right now. He said,

“Rappers these days are scared to say other rappers are trash so Ill be the first to say.. Yall n##### is trash and a disgrace to the culture.”

Like Joey, we don’t know who to be more disappointed in: the fans (sheeple as he calls them) for buying it, or the rappers for putting it out. We still want to know who he is referring to! Put some names on these claims! LOL. What are your thoughts?

NO Beef Between Birdman and Turk

Turk dropped an video on Twitter to explain there was no beef between him and Birdman.

We didn’t think there was anything to it, but a video made the rounds over the weekend implying that Birdman had a “talk” with Turk over some past issues.

But it was nothing according to Turk.

Lately, Turk and Birdman have been supporting each other on Instagram and Twitter. This is great news and hopefully that official Hot Boys reunion is closer to happening.

Turk is about to drop his “Young N Thuggin’ 2” mixtape on May 30th as well as a video for the single “It’s In Me.”
Meanwhile, Birdman officially dropped his song “Respek” today.

Chief Keef Denies Overdose Rumors

Well it looks like Chief Keef doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon. Rumors surfaced over the weekend that the rapper had to be hospitalized for a lean overdose.

Whether the rumor was true or not, Keef let his followers know that nothing was going to stop him from drinking his beverage of choice.

Instead of saying that he’s clean, he wants to show you that he didn’t overdose by drinking more lean. ?? Carry on. SMH.

Canelo Talks The Talk Post Khan Victory But Will He Walk The Walk When It Comes To GGG?

In the manner that most were expecting this past Saturday May 7, 2016 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas Nevada, Saul Canelo Alvarez (47-1-1, 33KOs) retained his WBC world middleweight title with a definitive KO victory over game challenger Amir “King” Khan (31-4, 19KOs) in the sixth round.  While Khan was able to out box Canelo for most of the rounds leading up to that final round six, once Khan came to Canelo, it became a question of whether Khan’s chin could reasonably back up Khan’s desire to stand and deliver with a fighter in Canelo who was already the naturally bigger man, as well as a proven hard puncher at their agreed catch weight of 155.  In contrast, before this weekend’s fight, Khan had never fought at a weight in excess of 147.

When Canelo delivered the KO that ended the night, there was no question of Khan recovering as in what was a bit of a touch and go moment, Khan was simply unable to move, let alone get up from the canvas for a period of time substantially longer than any count that referee Kenny Bayless might have given in order for him to regroup.

As such, it might have been a tad personal when in the ring immediately after Khan’s loss, Khan’s trainer Virgil Hunter went out of his way to say that Canelo needs to quit talking the talk and walk the walk when it comes making his own risky move by fighting the man that all lineal WBC world middleweight champions currently seem determined to avoid, Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs): “Amir gave up everything.  No concessions,” voiced Hunter, continuing: “Amir took the risk and set the tone.  Fighters should fight each other.  Now it’s time for (Alvarez) to take the risk and quit hiding.  He’s got to quit hiding behind the flag and fight GGG.”

To this end, it would now seem that even HBO is actively in on the push for Canelo to finally fight GGG.  In a move that was nothing if not direct, before Canelo vs. Khan entered the ring, as a scheduled part of the Pay Per View card, HBO’s Jim Lampley interviewed Golovkin one on one during Saturday’s fight night, asking GGG whether he would fight Canelo at a lower catch weight to further entice Alvarez to finally be the first genuine A-lister to test the mettle of the unsullied aura that is enjoyed by the ever popular boxing star Golovkin. While Golovkin’s answer was vague in regards to such concrete concessions, post Canelo vs. Khan, in keeping with the tough words that Canelo spoke immediately after beating superstar Miguel Cotto (40-5, 33KOs) to win the WBC world middleweight title in November of 2015, Alvarez was once again all guns blazing on the subject of taking on Golovkin as his next fight – even at 160.  Taking the no bullsh*t can do fight spirit even further, Canelo was quite colorful at the post fight press conference when it came to setting Golovkin’s trainer Abel Sanchez straight with regard to his resolve not to lose any titles via timidity with mandatories: “Abel Sanchez said that Canelo doesn’t have the balls to fight Golovkin,” said Canelo via his interpreter, continuing in answer to that claim: “he ( Sanchez) can come and touch them if he wants.”

Nevertheless, fight fans have heard this talk before. Per the words of Canelo’s promoter Oscar De La Hoya at this very same post fight press conference, as of this past Sunday immediately after the Canelo vs. Khan fight, a call was to have been initiated by De La Hoya himself to GGG’s handlers to start hammering out a deal.  However, when you have otherwise unconnected parties like Virgil Hunter going out of their way to add their two cents to what has been a circuitous road to the ring between Canelo and Golovkin, one can only speculate as to how many devils will be in the details of that call should there be yet another unexpected but insurmountable detour in the mix.

Did Kevin Gates & Lil’ Boosie Get Into It In Louisville?

Apparently there was a brawl between Kevin Gates‘ BWA and Lil’ Boosie’s Badazz Ent. over the weekend. A fan in attendance said Gates isn’t allowed to talk anymore sh-t because he was allegedly so scared of Boosie! Some are saying that the fight was between Gates’ & Boosie’s crews, and Gates was trying to break it up. Dang, can’t we all just get along?!

Big Sean Explains Why He Doesn’t Get Involved In Beefing With Other Rappers

(AllHipHop News) G.O.O.D. Music representative Big Sean has earned a spot as one of the most successful rap stars of this generation. The Detroit native received a platinum plaque for his last solo LP Dark Sky Paradise, and his recent duet album, Twenty88, with Jhené Aiko has been well received by critics.

Sean managed to climb his way to the upper echelon of Hip Hop circles without engaging in highly publicized feuds with other rappers. During an interview with XXL, the “One Man Can Change The World” performer explained why he has chosen to avoid beefs.

“No time for f-ck sh-t. Beefing with somebody over stupid sh-t? I worked too hard to be in a position to actually make money off my dreams to be arguing with another grown-ass man,” said Sean. “I’m not discounting anybody’s grievances [but] all of that sh-t is bullsh-t to me.”
