Lil Durk Cleared Of Probation Violation & Has Gun Charges Dropped In Cook County Court

(AllHipHop News) Chicago rapper Lil Durk has dodged a bullet once again as he was cleared of violating probation and had gun charges dropped by prosecutors in a Cook County court.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Judge Timothy Joyce found that prosecutors proved that the rapper knew that the guns were present in an Orlando Park townhome he was renting, but failed to prove that he had “possession and control” of the weapons.

The judge’s decision stems from a 2014 incident in which law enforcement discovered two handguns on his kitchen counter as Lil Durk, real name Durk Banks, walked down the stairs to the first floor of the townhome.

Assistant State’s Attorney Holly Kremlin presented the case that Banks violated his probation because he was aware that the guns and the owners of the weapons were present in the home.

She also would argue that Banks admitted to the police that the guns were his.

However, Bank’s attorney Sam Adam’s Jr. stated that such an admission was never noted by law enforcement.

The rapper was on edge, but was fully confident in his representation in the end.

“I was kind of nervous, but I ain’t ever nervous about the truth because I know God is on my side and I got a good lawyer,” said a relieved Banks.

FXXXXY is back with a new single that releases today.

The tracks is called “20 Taliband” and will appear on FXXXXY’s upcoming album “Cartel Shawty,” which is scheduled for an August 31st release.

Consequence Explains Why He Won’t Reveal Songs That He’s Ghostwritten (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Jay Z, Cam’ron, Rick Ross and others have expressed in their own music that they have written bars for other artists. But rarely will a “ghostwriter” actually reveal the material they composed on someone else’s song.

Consequence is another well known hired pen. The Queens emcee was questioned about his co-writing experience during an appearance on The Cruz Show.

J Cruz asked Con if he would discuss particular verses he wrote that were spit by another person. However, the G.O.O.D. Music affiliate chose not to dive too deeply into that subject.

“That’s a little taboo. Just because of the fact I want to do more of it. That check is really good,” replied Consequence. “It’s like outing somebody a little bit. There’s a level of professionalism that I try to keep.”

There have been incidents were a rapper disclosed their alleged “ghostwriting” work. Cam’ron claimed he wrote the Lil Cease rhymes on Lil Kim’s “Crush On You” and California’s Skeme asserted he was the writer behind Iggy Azalea’s smash hit “Fancy.”

At one time, Consequence even declared he was an uncredited writer for Kanye West’s “Champion” and other tunes from the Grammy-winning performer.

The 39-year-old former Love & Hip Hop star did reveal he helped create the chorus to Jay Z’s “Encore” off The Black Album. However, he is not a fan of co-writers exposing their clients.

“It’s a little venomous to out somebody. Especially if you were paid and compensated, and you did get your credit and publishing. That’s it. It’s a closed deal,” added Con.

Uh oh! It looks like DMX had an unfortunate incident when he fell off stage while performing in Rochester, NY.

We are always rooting for DMX, but is it almost time for him to retire. How do you feel about his recent performances?

Perhaps his fall could’ve been a complete accident, with X failing to realize how close he was to the edge of the stage.

Soulja Boy Threatens To Shoot Skrill Dilly Over Nia Riley

This is Love & Hip Hop gone completely wrong! VH1 ‘Love & Hip Hop Hollywood’ star Soulja Boy has gotten in yet another feud with his on-again-off-again girlfriend Nia Riley, but this one has turned a bit dangerous.

It looks like Nia Riley has moved on from Soulja Boy, but it appears he hasn’t just yet. Soulja Boy threatened to harm New Orleans rapper, Skrill Dilly, who Nia is allegedly dating.

Soulja Boy pulled out a gun and pointed it at the camera saying,

“F*** you & Nia Riley. Stop playing with me before some shooters be outside your door.”

Skrill Dilly is rumored to be Nia’s latest boyfriend after her split from Soulja Boy. What’s interesting is the fact that Skrill has denied dating her. He even went as far as saying they’ve never met. Apparently, he wants to distance himself from all of the drama.

Soulja Boy and Nia certainly need to seek professional help.

Ralo Prepares For “Dairy of the Streets II” By Dropping A Banger With Future

ATL’s Ralo uses his helium-pitched voice and unique melodic rhyming style to steal nearly every track on which he appears.

On “My Brothers,” the latest entry in Ralo’s #FamericanTuesday series, Ralo finds an ideal sparring partner in Future, as he holds his own with one of the most popular artists in today’s rap game.

Produced by frequent Future collaborator Southside of 808 Mafia and featuring a monster hook from Hendrix himself, “My Brothers” bangs as hard as any track released this year, with both rappers discussing the bond they share, saluting their day ones, and shooting down their haters over a reedy four-note melody, a booming bassline, and Southside’s signature kick and hi-hat. Ralo and Future previously connected in 2015 for “Can’t Lie,” which has earned nearly 2 million views on YouTube.

I’m not just rapping for exposure,” explains Ralo. “I want to bring people together. I want to have a good influence on the community; I want people to stop fighting each other.”

Ralo recently released the eighth chapter of his video diary, which details his life on the streets of Atlanta, on YouTube.

“My Brothers” is the latest single from Ralo’s Birdman-hosted mixtape Diary of the Streets II, the sequel to last year’s popular Diary of the Streets, hitting the internet on August 30th.

Azealia Banks Would Let Jay Z Smash, Says Beyonce Stood Her Up In The Studio

Azealia Banks is one controversial artist if we are even still calling her that these days. One has to wonder is Azealia just this outspoken and crazy, or is she just trolling for attention.

Since Twitter suspended Banks Twitter page for hateful tweets and racist remarks, Banks often tweets from a back up page (@Yemaya7777777).

Banks, who is never shy about dissing or discussing any celebrity, recently let it be known that she has a huge crush on Jay Z, and if given the chance to let him smash, she wouldn’t even think twice.

A fan also asked her what celebrity she regretted working with the most to which she replied saying,

“Beyonce. She stood me up in the studio to go to the club and make sure Jay Z wasn’t cheating #corny.”

Do you believe Beyonce was ever interested in working with Banks? We just can’t understand why this girl killed her career before it truly began.

The popular femcee re-imagines Desiigner’s gun toting psycho as a woman-hating serial killer, with chilling results.

“Once I heard the original XXL freestyle, I thought to myself, this is dark and twisty and I love dark and twisty. Then when the song actually came out I just immediately loved the beat and thought of the character Timmy Turner but all grown up, in the worst way.” the dark and lovely emcee shares. “Timothy is just a very disturbed kid living in a world of self proclaimed entitlement. I wanted to capture the darkest part of him really and have some fun along the way.”
