Freddie Gibbs Officially Charged With Sexual Assault In Austria Rape Case

(AllHipHop News) Gritty Midwest lyricist Freddie Gibbs has now officially been charged with sexual assault, stemming from rape allegations brought against the rapper in Austria last year.

Freddie Gibbs was initially arrested in France during his tour of Europe on June 2 due to the allegations, before being freed on $56,000 U.S. dollars bail.

However, soon after his release from confinement in France GIbbs was extradited to Austria, where the MC was formally charged with sexual assault.

Two female accusers claims that Gibbs, along with one of his bodyguards, drugged their drinks and proceeded to take advantage of them after a nightclub appearance by the rapper.

Freddie Gibbs lawyer Theodore Simon said his client was “100 percent” innocent in a statement to media.

 

 

 

Rev Run and His Wife Justine Fight Diabetes After Learning Their Both At Risk For The Disease

(AllHipHop News) Run-DMC co-founder Joseph “Rev Run” Simmons and his wife Justine are doing their part to fight diabetes as the new ambassadors of the “Ask.Screen.Know” campaign with Novo Nordisk.

The pair became much more consciouss about their health, when they found out that both sides of their families were at risk for the disease.

According to stats, the Simmons’ discovery was quite common. There are 29 million Americans who have diabetes and 1 in 4 don’t even know it.

“You can’t confront what you don’t know,” Rev Run told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “We know that our family history impacts our family today more than ever. Learning about our risk of diabetes has empowered our entire family to make important adjustments to our everyday lifestyle.”

To help spread the word, Rev Run and Justine are taking part in a traveling exhibit that encourage adults to know their risk of type 2 diabetes.

The first exhibit took place at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, while other stops, including one at Mall of America in Minneapolis, will take place later this month.

“If you’re physically fit but have a family history of diabetes, that makes you at risk, too. It’s important to take the Diabetes Risk Factor Assessment to find out if you are at risk, get screened, and take charge of your health.”

Clinton Sparks is celebrating the release of his new single “Saturday Night” featuring Joey Bandz by hosting a 72-hour take over of the Hollywood Patch House.

Clinton, who has collaborated with Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Macklemore, Ty Dolla $ign, Pitbull and others, will begin the take over this weekend.

On Saturday (August 20) during the party, a listening session will take place for “Saturday Night.”

Clinton is planning on capturing the content for a series of “Conversations with Clinton” with Sour Patch Kids.

Brooklyn Rappers Flatbush Zombies Heading To UK For Headlining Tour

(AllHipHop News) Brooklyn Rap trio Flatbush Zombies are heading over the pond to perform songs from their debut album 2001: A Laced Odyssey.

The group’s excurision throughout the UK starts on September 12 and will see two performances in London, one in Bristol, another in Birmingham and a finale at the Manchester O2 Ritz arena on September 17.

Group members Erick ‘The Architect’ Elliott, Zombie Juice and Meechy Darko recently performed this single “Bounce” on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Party Next Door Says Rihanna’s Label Didn’t Like “Work” or Caribbean Music

(AllHipHop News) Toronto crooner Party Next Door has been on a meteoric rise to fame lately, with hit tracks such as “Come and See Me,” featuring OVO label mate and founder Drake from his new album PartyNextDoor 3.

Party also currently boasts heavyweight writing credits for Rihanna’s#### track “Work” and more.

According to the New York Times, the rising soul star’s relationship with Rihanna started at a writing camp at the songstress’s Malibu home last year.

This would be leasier to PND receiving writing credits on Rihanna’s infectious chart topping hit “Work,” a song which her label wasn’t too fond of initially.

“Her label didn’t care for Caribbean music at the time,” PartyNextDoor explained.

He and Drake considered keeping the track, or giving it to Alicia Keys, but Rihanna’s team came around “when it was all that she could sing around the house.”

“She fought for it. She said, ‘This is my family’s favorite song.’”

The artist has also done plenty of work on Drake’s Views, which ran the top of the Billboard charts for 12 weeks.

Despite all of the ghostwriting controversy and conflict currently surrounding Drake, the rising star claims that their relationship is mutually beneficial.

“It’s just creatives cooking,” PND said. “If he sees something in a song of mine that he feels he can spin around and make better, who am I to say I’m going to selfishly keep it? As a fan of music, that’s wrong.”

Fat Trel is among the models who will hit the runway to promote Troy Adkins’ Volare collection for the Big & Tal men’s category.

On Wednesday, September 14, Adkins will debut his latest collection at an exclusive, private location in New York.

In addition to Fat Trel, Jamal “Gravy” Woolard and Comedian/actor, Faizon Love will walk down the runway representing big and tall men.

Apparently there is still trouble in paradise for one of our favorite couples, T.I. and Tiny.

Tiny is allegedly enjoying the single life under the roof of her own home. According to SandraRose, Tiny moved into a $1.4 million home in the affluent Eagles Landing subdivision in Henry County (right outside of Atlanta).

Supposedly Tiny purchased the home back in 2014 when Tip allegedly cheated on her with one of those Instagram models. With the recent rumors that T.I. cheated on Tiny again with an escort and former Taz angel, Tiny has allegedly decided to call it quits.

Apparently, Tiny and T.I. are sharing custody of their children King, Major, and Heiress, and Tiny will allegedly be filing for divorce any day now. This has to be awkward because the two had such a nicely blended family with T.I. treating Tiny’s oldest daughter Zonnique like his own, and with Tiny doing the same for Tip’s kids Deyjah, Domami, and Messiah.

This situation is unfortunate as the two also welcomed home their daughter Heiress 5 months ago.

Hopefully the Harris family will work it out.

The 23-year-old No I.D. protegé discussed Men’s Diving, Table Tennis, and Badminton competitors. However, his biggest criticism was directed at the male gymnasts.

“I’m not really a fan of this male gymnastics. [You’re] trying to jump hard as f-ck. There’s no grace in that. You need grace to do these things,” stated Staples. “We have to stop playing women’s sports. We are not creative enough. They make us look stupid. They’re smarter than us.”

Chance The Rapper Launches New Website To Help Get His Indie Music On The Radio

(AllHipHop News) Chance The Rapper has managed to elevate himself into A-list status positions (e.g. performances on SNL and GMA) without the backing of a major record label.

His latest mixtape, Coloring Book, even made history on the Billboard 200 album chart and helped changed the eligibility rules for the Grammy nominations.

As an artist, Chance is now also looking to alter his relationship with terrestrial radio.

The Chicago raised rhymer launched the new website RapRadio.com.

Text on the site reads, “Let’s bring independent music to the airwaves.”

Fans are able to find local stations and then tweet directly to the channels and their respective on-air talent to request either Chance’s “No Problems” or “Summer Friends.”

French Montana Has Pushed Back ‘MC4’ Album Release

(AllHipHop News) French Montana’s latest project was expected to be released this week. However, the Bad Boy recording artist has announced MC4 will be pushed back.

According to French’s Twitter feed, issues with securing sample clearances have caused the delay.

The star-studded LP is expected to feature appearances by Drake, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Jeezy, A$AP Rocky, Kanye West, Nas, and many more.

“No Shopping” with Drake has broken into the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100. The single is French’s highest-charting single on the Hot 100 since “Pop That” in 2012.

The Bronx rapper’s previous studio album Excuse My French peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

(AllHipHop News) Philly MC Freeway is the latest rapper to come out in support of Hillary Clinton as he recently gave the presidential hopeful his seal of approval at Clinton’s West Philadelphia High School rally today.

According to Philly Mag, the MC cites Clinton’s stance on affordable health care as the main motivation behind his endorsement as he says he had to spend up to $600 a month for medicine before he had insurance.

Freeway was diagnosed with kidney failure last year and undergoes dialysis three times a day, four times a week.

He is also currently on the waiting list to recieve a kidney transplant.

“When I came out with my story of being on dialysis, I ran across so many people that were going through the same thing that I’m going through, explained Freeway.

“Through the grace of God, I was able to be successful and able to afford my health care,” the rapper continued. “But a lot of people can’t afford it. Even with my healthcare, my treatments are a little bit expensive.”

The rapper told reporters that he initially decided to support Hillary after attending the Democratic National Convention at the Wells Fargo Center last month.

Freeway’s endorsement may catch many by surprise because just four months, the rapper posed with Bernie Sanders and encouraged Philadelphians to support the Vermont senator in Pennsylvania’s presidential primary.

(AllHipHop News) Malia Obama raised a few eyebrows earlier this month at Lollapalooza, when she was caught on camera smoking what was said to be weed at the festival.

President Barack Obama’s eldest daughter had been partying with Chance The Rapper’s brother, Taylor Bennett when she allegedly took a few hits from a joint.

Taylor Bennett, who released an album titled Broad Shoulders in 2015, is on probation for brutally beating a man at a party in 2014.

Speculation about Chance’s brother Taylor coming under the scrutiny of the Secret Service began to circulate immediately, espescially since rapper Joey Badas$ comments that the agency was watching him after Malia rocked a Pro Era shirt.

It turns out Taylor Bennett, has summoned back to court on a parole violation just almost a week after the footage was leaked by RadarOnline.

According to reports, Taylor has received a “violation of supervision” notice and will have to appear in court later this month.

Chance The Rapper and Taylor’s father’s name is Ken Bennett, who is a politically connected former aide to President Obama.

Ebro Darden Reacts To Drake Bringing Out Eminem During Tour Stop In Detroit

(AllHipHop News) It was certainly inevitable that attention would be placed back on Hot 97’s Ebro Darden after news began circulating that Drake and Eminem shared the stage together last night in Detroit.

Ebro was at the center of the rumors that Em and Drizzy were likely to diss each other in the near future.

The New York City morning show host would later claim his supposed conversation with Drake  – which allegedly included talk of a potential battle between the two superstars – was just a joke.

That explanation did not stop online users from blasting Ebro for what they saw as a purposely misleading report. Even Drake took aim at Darden and his radio station for the comments.

Ebro took to social media to share his reaction to the Drake/Eminem performance. An Instagram post featuring a photo of the “Forever” collaborators was joined by a caption that simply had multi-colored hands emojis and a winking face emoji.

Twitter was also lit with people slamming Ebro. He actually retweeted some of the responses to his own timeline.

PartyNextDoor Talks Kehlani Relationship Controversy

(AllHipHop News) Back in March, many people viewed PartyNextDoor as the villain in the real life relationship drama that played out after he posted an intimate picture of himself with his on-again, off-again girlfriend Kehlani.

It was believed Kehlani was still dating NBA star Kyrie Irving at the time Party uploaded the photo to Instagram.

Charlamagne Tha God named PND the “Donkey of the Day” and Chris Brown blasted his fellow R&B performers.

The controversy reportedly led to Kehlani attempting to take her own life after the overwhelming criticism she received online.

Party has now addressed the situation in a new interview with Rolling Stone.

“I regret how it went down,” said PND. “Big time I regret how it went down. I look into people’s eyes and I know they think I’m a bad guy. There’s a lot of details that people don’t know.”

The year 2016 actually started off as a big one for the Canadian singer-songwriter.

PartyNextDoor co-wrote Rihanna and Drake’s smash hit “Work” and his own “Come and See Me” broke into the Billboard Hot 100.

The OVO representative suggested the public spectacle is over and he is ready to move on.

“I just hope people understand that was a year for him,” stated Party, referring to himself in third person. “And I hope everyone has a successful year, and I hope that’s in the past.”

The PartyNextDoor 3 album arrived in stores on August 12.
