“One Dance” Rapper Wizkid Scammed Out Of Big Cash, By Female Impersonator

(AllHipHop News) Nigerian rapper Wizkid is experiencing unprecedented success, thanks to his hit single “One Dance” with Drake and Kyla.

Wizkid was an award-winning artist in Nigeria before his most recent hit single “One Dance” took off in the United States. He’s been touring around the world because of the breakout success of the single, but back home, his popularity has become a bit of a problem.

According to News Nigeria, a 19-year-old student at Delta State University named Ifeoma Nelly was living the life of luxury, by impersonating Wizkid and scamming the rapper out of hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last three years.

The woman sported a short haircut like Wizkid, dressed like a man and favored the rapper in terms of looks.

Police began looking into the matter, after Wizkid, his managers and numerous victims complained that someone was ripping them all off, with phony shows.

An investigation ensued, and the woman was arrested at a hotel, when she attempted to accept part of a $25,000 appearance fee, posing as the rapper.

“When it became serious, we had to refund the money to victims. Some people will just go, write in papers that Wikzid disappointed them,” Wizkid’s manager Sunday Are said. “They would say Wizkid and his manager collected money and didn’t come to perform.”

The student went to great lengths in order to defraud the unsuspecting promoters and other victims.

“Meanwhile, we didn’t know about those shows. The lady, not only used Wizkid’s name to open the Facebook accounts, but also used Wizkid’s name to register the phone she was using,” Sunday Are said.

Wizkid, his manager and local police set up a sting operation. When the target of the investigation arrived, everyone was amazed at how much the female impersonator looked the part, right down to her flashy Rolex.

“It took us three to four hours before we could believe she was a lady. She wore native clothes and spotted low cut,” Wizkid’s manager said.

The woman was taken into custody by Lagos State Police Command and hit with numerous charges.

Fans of the real Wizkid can catch the rapper as a headlining act on the One Africa Music Fest taking place in New York at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on July 22.

“The Greatest” Muhammad Ali Has Passed

(AllHipHop News) Muhammad Ali has died. He was 74.

A family spokesman broke the news that the “The Greatest” died on Friday.

Ali was a heavyweight boxing champion, a philanthropist, Civil Rights activist and one of the most famous people on Earth. He died in Phoenix, Arizona after he was rushed to the hospital for a respiratory illness. Ali suffered from Parkinson’s disease, an ailment that he lived with since 1984. He was put on life support prior to his death.

The funeral will be conducted in Louisville, Kentucky, Ali’s hometown. He is survived by nine children and his wife Lonnie.

The world mourns.

“God came for his champion. So long great one,” former champ Mike Tyson said on Twitter.

Muhammad Ali was born Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr. in Louisville, Kentucky in 1942. He began training to fight at the age of 12 after a thief stole his bicycle. He went on to win six Kentucky Golden Gloves titles and two national Golden Gloves titles among a haul of early accolades. He picked up gold at the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome. Clay’s amateur record was 100 wins with five losses. He first became the world heavyweight champion in 1964, after he beat Sonny Liston in one of the greatest upsets in the sport. He changed his name to Muhammad Ali after joining the Nation of Islam months later.

In 1967, Ali transcended the sport when he refused to be drafted into the U.S. military, citing his religious beliefs and opposition to America’s involvement in the Vietnam War. He was arrested and stripped of his boxing title. He did not fight again for almost four years, until his conviction was overturned in 1971.

Soon, he became recognized as the most famous sportsman of his generation and the finest fighter to ever step into a boxing ring. His greatest fights as champion included clashes with Joe Frazier and George Foreman.

He briefly quit the sport in 1976 to focus on his faith, having converted to Sunni Islam, and upon his return his doctor, Ferdie Pacheco, advised him to quit due to internal injuries from boxing. Ali refused and his longtime medic retired.

He lost his title in 1978 to Leon Spinks in Las Vegas in part because he wasn’t physically prepared for the fight, looking seriously out of shape. Spinks was declared the winner by split decision. Ali was better prepared for the rematch in New Orleans, winning by unanimous decision. The win made him the first heavyweight champion to win the belt three times.

Ali announced his retirement from boxing in July, 1979, but came back for one more fight against Larry Holmes for the WBC belt for an unprecedented fourth time. Reporters started noting the sports legend was struggling with his speech and trembling uncontrollably at times, but Ali was given the OK to fight by medics at the Mayo Clinic and his return to the ring went ahead in October, 1980.

Holmes dominated the fight, which his trainer Angelo Dundee stopped in the 11th round. He fought one last time, in December, 1981, against Trevor Berbick, losing a 10-round decision.

Ali was diagnosed with Parkinson’s syndrome, a disease that commonly results from head trauma from activities such as boxing, in 1984.

He remained a hero to the masses and was honored by several presidents. After his boxing career was over, his life highlights included a trip to Iraq to meet with leader Saddam Hussein to negotiate the release of American hostages, and he had the honor of lighting the flame at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia in 1996. He also flew to Afghanistan in 2002 as a United Nations Messenger of Peace.

He was married four times and had seven daughters and two sons. He lived out his days in Scottsdale, Arizona, with his wife Lonnie Williams, who he married in 1986.

Troy Ave Supporter Kevin Gates Is Putting His Money Where His Grill Is!

First of all, you need to know: Kevin Gates Diamond Teeth Are REAL. In this video, he shows that they are. Bruh is making a lot of money, CLEARLY! He also is a Troy Ave supporter. In the video, he says that he is gonna send his comrade some money to help him with his legal situation. If you listen carefully, somebody from KG’s crew mentions Ave and he says “I’ma send him some bread.” Even though matters are getting bad, this is a great gesture. Check out the video below.

Did Troy Ave’s Internet Squad Shade Taxstone?

Taxstone has risen rapidly, but it has been a result of a lot of key disses. Now, it seems that the Troy Ave crew has risen up in a low-key way (the internet). The police say nobody is working with them, but they are working with themselves. In fact, they internets solved the case already. Cops, catch up! Anyway, the Troy Ave crew may have put this together. It is a compilation of tweets and comments Tax has said about other rappers, including Tupac, The Game, Cam’Ron and more.

I think Troy Ave might be looking at a decent case based on everything going on. Taxstone is definitely a G. He’s like the gangsta version of Charlamagne. LOL!

Rapper Maine Musik Threatened Donald Trump, Gets Arrested For Massive Gun Store Robbery

(AllHipHopNews) Rapper Maine Musik, who recently made headlines locally for his anti-Trump social media rant, has been arrested.

The 22-year-old, whose real name is Demarcus Davis, was recently detained and is being held in prison in Baton Rouge, on charges of illegal possession of a stolen firearm and three counts of felony possession of a firearm.

According to WBRZ News, Maine Musik was charged for his alleged role in a robbery of Meaux Guns & Ammo in the city, on July 6th of last year.

The Secret Service paid Maine Musik a visit after he posted a threat to Donald Trump on his Instagram account.

In the clip, Maine Musik warned others not to challenge his crew and also included a threat to shoot presidential candidate Donald Trump, because the controversial Republican has criticized food stamp recipients.

Maine Musik also claimed to have a connection to ISIS and access to military weapons, leading to an official investigation.

According to law enforcement, all of the guns that were being flaunted by several individuals in his video for “Aint No Comin Down” match the makes and models of some of the 50 guns that were reported stolen in last July’s robbery.

In fact, a Glock pistol with a hundred-round drum Maine Musik flashed in the video for “Aint No Comin Down” is so clear, that specialists could read the serial number on the stolen weapon.

Maine Musik was brought in for questioning after running a stop sign, while in possession of what was apparently lean (Promethazine/Codeine).

Federal authorities are pondering if Maine Musik should also be charged with threatening Donald Trump as well, since all of the guns were not only stolen, they were real.

Prior to his legal issues, Maine Musik was a member of “The Luciano Family” featuring TEC, Ace B and Master P. No Limit Forever severed their ties with Maine Musik and TEC in 2015.

Check out the controversial video below.

Maine Musik denied the charges, in an Instagram post, fresh out of jail.

John Amos Weighs In On Snoop Dogg’s Comments About Roots Remake (AUDIO)

(AllHipHop News) Snoop Dogg made headlines across the internet when he called for a boycott of the new rendition of the Roots miniseries.

The West Coast rap legend took issue with the entertainment industry making another story centered around slavery. The 76-year-old actor starred as Kunta Kinte in the original 1977 version of Roots.

“Each generation should be at least superficially exposed to it, if not in depth, so things have more meaning and more relevance in regards to where we are as a society now,” Amos said to ABC Radio about Snoop’s comments. “If you don’t know your history, you can’t learn from it.

“I think it’s good that it’s being retold in the new version of Roots,” Amos added. “But again, I think their work is cut out for them because people have so many choices today and quite frankly there is an aversion to looking back at our history and repeating it.”

While the first episode of the Roots remake did not draw in the incomparable 130 million viewers as the original, the History channel 2016 production collected the biggest overall audience for a cable miniseries opening in three years.

On Monday evening, 5.3 million people watched the first airing of Roots over the History, A&E, and Lifetime simulcast. The series based on Alex Haley’s Roots: The Saga of an American Family collected a total of 8.5 million viewers during the whole night including re-airings.
