Erica Banks Draws Backlash Over Rich Homie Quan Tribute Post

Erica Banks is being attacked by fans of Rich Homie Quan in the wake of his death.

In a post the Texas rapper shared on Instagram Thursday (September 5), Banks appeaered to reveal she and the “Lifestyle” rapper had been involved in a secret relationship before his passing. In addition to clips of the pair enjoying each other’s company, Banks penned a passionate caption to Quan essentially thanking him for the brief time that he managed to share together.

“All you wanted was to find happiness again always saw it in your face and heard it in your voice,” Banks wrote. “But you had so much left to do. The album, the tour, your BIRTHDAY! I’m just glad we were able to enjoy such peaceful and memorable moments while you were here man. Such a sweetheart! Rest in Paradise Quan.”

Almost immediately fans reacted to the post condemning Banks for sharing the intimate moments she shared with Quan on the day of his passing. Additionally, around the time Banks shared her post, media outlets began sharing the frantic 911 call Quan made after discovering he had no heartbeat. A report from TMZ revealed Quan’s girlfriend Amber Williams made the call to authorities after she returned home from taking her son to school, and noticed Quan was still lying on the couch, except she couldn’t tell if was breathing.

Along with receiving backlash from fans, reality TV star Akbar V appeared to offer Banks somewhat of a finger-wagging in a tweet in response to her post going viral.

“I understand you might be hurt but baby girl delete those pics and videos out of respect for his family man…,” she wrote. “You was a secret and not saying what y’all shared was fake but certain stuff should remain a secret cause here comes all The unwanted hate towards you that you didn’t even know existed……think before you do stuff lil one.”

It appears as though Banks either took Akbar V’s advice or succumbed to fan harassment because she has since deleted the post.

You can still check out the post featuring one of the videos and the heartfelt caption Banks wrote in honor of Quan below.

50 Cent On His Muhammad Ali-Inspired $3.5M Photoshoot

50 Cent pulled up to a photoshoot with a staggering $3.5 million in cash, inspired by an iconic image of Muhammad Ali.

The G-Unit mogul posed atop a huge pile of cash for a recent Hollywood Reporter cover story, mirroring the late sporting legend’s iconic 1964 Sports Illustrated cover.

While Muhammad Ali used $1 million in cash, 50 Cent packed two cases with $3.5 million for his homage, perhaps adjusting for inflation or simply because of his competitive nature.

Stephen Colbert quizzed 50 Cent about the shoot during a recent appearance on “The Late Show,” asking why he didn’t use Photoshop and questioned how heavy the suitcases were.

50 Cent revealed that the bags are heavier than you might expect and not at all like you see in movie heists. “That’s not real,” he said. “It’s about 77 pounds.”

The subject of wealth came up during another recent interview, with 50 Cent reflecting on Dame Dash once telling him that $1 million was not a lot of money. He also said that Dame is broke now.

The former Roc-A-Fella mogul then challenged Fiddy to a network battle.

However, he went viral after his grill fell out while talking about 50 Cent on Instagram Live.

50 Cent swooped on the opportunity to troll Dame and a couple of others who recently had something to say about him with a video montage promoting his new book.

He followed up with a repost of another video roasting Dame Dash.

Hip-Hop & Gaming Convergence: How These Two Industry Influence One Another

Hip-hop and games have had a relationship that spans several decades. These industries draw inspiration from each other in a unique way. Several rappers draw inspiration for their lyrics, sound, and music videos from games from video games to other traditional titles. The interesting part is that these industries also seem to pull the same crowd.

Many people who enjoy playing games also enjoy rap music. Moreover, some of the rappers themselves are also avid gamers, from Kanye West to Snoop Dogg. So, it is no wonder that these industries influence each other.

How Hip-Hop Music Influences Jackpot Slots

Let’s start with jackpot slots. These games have been heavily influenced by hip-hop in various ways. One way is by adopting hip-hop themes to create engaging experiences for players. Slot machines often have symbols and graphics that were inspired by hip-hop music. Players will often find pictures of rappers like 2Pac and Rick Ross.

Another way hip-hop influences the game of jackpot slots is through the soundtrack. Slot games need pulsing beats and energetic rhymes as the backdrop to offer gamers excitement. Hip-hop music offers just this. Research papers have shown that the sound of a slot machine influences players’ preferences. Slot machines, especially hip-hop-themed ones often have rap songs playing in the background.  The music often determines the vibe of the game and how enjoyable it will be.

Video Game Aesthetics in Hip-Hop Music Videos

Hip-hop artists have recognized how appealing video game aesthetics can be. So, of course, many of them are incorporating gaming aesthetics into their music videos. As video game graphics grow, this trend grows alongside, resulting in all sorts of visuals across generations of artists.

Let’s take Travis Scott’s “Astronomical” for example. The song was first performed at a virtual event hosted by the Fortnite game. The music video is just a recording of him performing the song at the event. It is a unique mix of an interactive game and what you expect from a music concert. Fans joined as avatars to witness a larger-than-life Scott performing amid surreal, shifting landscapes. This event showcased Scott’s music and demonstrated the potential for new forms of digital entertainment merging gaming and music.

Other artists have created music videos mimicking popular video games’ look and feel. These videos feature pixelated graphics reminiscent of retro games or adopt third-person perspectives common in modern action games. By tapping into gaming nostalgia or current trends, these videos create instant connections with viewers who are also gamers.

Hip-Hop Artists as Video Game Characters

Aside from visual inspiration, many game developers have created games that have hip-hop artists as characters. These characters typically show the personality and style of the artists that inspire them. For example, the Def Jam series of fighting games featured stars like DMX, Ludacris, and Method Man. Players could choose the artists for over-the-top brawls with signature moves and themed arenas.

Recent games like “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II” have had Snoop Dogg and Nicki Minaj as characters. The developers gave these characters unique looks and voice lines. This integration allows fans to interact with these artists in new contexts as they battle alongside them.

The NBA 2K series also has artists on soundtracks and as playable characters. For example, J. Cole was on NBA 2K23’s “Dreamer Edition” cover and as a character in MyCAREER mode.

Hip-Hop Music as Video Games Soundtrack

Finally, hip-hop accounts for most of the songs used in games as soundtracks. The Grand Theft Auto series is a good example of this. The game “San Andreas,” is known for its playlist which mainly consists of rap songs. The radio stations in the game feature hip-hop songs from artists like 2Pac and Ice Cube. This attention to musical detail creates a more authentic and engaging game world.

We can see this trend in sports games too. The NBA 2K series is renowned for this. They have rappers like JAY-Z work as executive producers. They then curate playlists featuring other rappers for their soundtracks.

Even games that are not set in urban settings recognize how hip-hop can boost gameplay. Racing games like Need for Speed have long featured hip-hop tracks. They use driving beats to enhance the thrill of high-speed chases and competitions.

Final Thoughts

Hip-hop and video games continue to establish a relationship. Each industry keeps finding new ways to complement and inspire the other. From music videos resembling games to games sounding like hip-hop playlists, the line between these entertainment sectors keeps getting blurred.

This fusion has created exciting experiences for fans of both mediums. Gamers interact with their favorite artists in games, while music fans enjoy music videos inspired by game aesthetics. We expect more innovative collaborations between hip-hop artists and game developers in the future.

YBC Dul’s Alleged Teen Killer Arrested For Multiple Shootings

Police arrested a 16-year-old male for the fatal shooting of YBC Dul on Thursday (September 5). Authorities accused Aiden Waters of killing two people and trying to injure or kill eight others in a span of five days.

Waters was charged with murder for his alleged role in YBC’s Dul death. The teen was held without bail following his arraignment on Friday (September 6).

YBC Dul, whose real name was Abdul Vicks, was killed in a drive-by shooting on August 23. Police said two shooters opened fire at him and a passenger around 3:30 p.m. in North Philadelphia. YBC Dul was shot multiple times in the chest and hand.

The passenger rushed the 25-year-old rapper to the hospital. According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, he died around 4 p.m. at the Einstein Medical Center.

Waters allegedly killed another teen and injured three people in two shootings days before YBC Dul’s death. Police said Waters shot a 14-year-old in the leg and a 43-year-old man in the abdomen around 9:50 p.m. on August 18. Both victims survived.

Hours later, Waters allegedly shot up a car with several teens inside it. A 16-year-old victim suffered a fatal shot to the head. Another 16-year-old was injured but survived. Four teens managed to avoid getting shot. Waters faced multiple charges – including murder, attempted murder, arson and aggravated assault – for the shootings.

YBC Dul was the leader of the Young Bag Chasers gang. He made many enemies in Philadelphia, earning the nickname “Mr. Disrespectful.”

A day before YBC Dul’s death, the late rapper was featured in a video published by YouTuber Brandon Buckingham. The video was titled “The Most Hated Rapper in Philadelphia: Life as Mr. Disrespectful.” YBC Dul boasted about his gang’s violence and took Buckingham on a tour of tormented areas in the city.

SIGNS: Iowa Man Shot Father In Face Over Stinky Feet Complaints

A Midwestern father was shot in the face by his own son over an argument stemming from the man’s body odor.

In an outrageous family feud, a heated argument over smelly feet escalated into the shooting incident during which David Carpenter, 48, shot his father in the face! Carpenter, who is from Burlington, Iowa, was charged with attempted murder after the bizarre incident unfolded late last month, according to local news station KWQC.

The confrontation began when Carpenter’s father, who was in a motorized scooter, couldn’t stand the odor coming from his son’s feet. His complaint spiraled into a full-blown argument that quickly turned dangerous. Carpenter allegedly stormed off to his bedroom, grabbed a gun, and returned to the living room, hiding the weapon behind his back.

Police reports, reviewed by KWQC, state that Carpenter shouted at his father about “guns” before pointing the firearm at the older man’s face. Carpenter told police he “accidentally pulled the trigger,” sending a bullet directly into his father’s face! Miraculously, the father survived and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. His injuries, although serious, were not life-threatening.

The bizarre standoff came to a halt when Carpenter himself called 911 to report the shooting. Police quickly arrived at the scene and arrested Carpenter in the front yard, while paramedics attended to his father.

In a twist that adds even more drama to the already wild situation, authorities revealed that two children under the age of 14 were in the house during the shooting. As a result, Carpenter was also slapped with a charge of child endangerment, on top of the attempted murder charge, KWQC reported.

Carpenter is now sitting behind bars, held on a $100,000 bond, with his next court date scheduled for August 21. Meanwhile, the peculiar motive behind the shooting has left neighbors in disbelief.

50 Cent Shows No Mercy To Dame Dash After Dentures Mishap

Dame Dash may regret taunting 50 Cent. The G-Unit boss seized the opportunity to mock Dash after the Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder suffered a dental malfunction during a livestream.

“Wow ya man teeth fell out his mouth LOL,” 50 Cent wrote on Instagram. “what a week, all roads lead to Shreveport let’s work. LMAO.”

50 Cent used Dash’s embarrassing moment for a social media montage. The video also featured Desiigner and Hurricane Chris, both of whom have dissed 50 Cent in recent weeks.

Dash tried to beat 50 Cent to the punch by explaining the teeth mishap on Friday (September 6). Dash claimed it wasn’t dentures falling out of his mouth.

“My diamond grills popped out because that’s what happens when you’re broke,” he wrote.

Hours later, Dash attempted to play it cool by reposting 50 Cent’s montage.

“Appreciate you bro… but the battles still on @americanunetworks,” Dash wrote.

A post shared by 50 Cent (@50cent)

50 Cent and Dash’s back-and-forth began when the former said the latter had “no money now” on Million Dollaz Worth of Game. Dash fired back by challenging the rapper-turned-TV mogul to a “network battle.”

“Somebody definitely sent me that cute s### 50 said about me not having no money,” Dash said. “I feel like now me and 50 should have a battle and no gangster s### … That would be wack and corny for the culture.”

Dash also dared 50 Cent to participate in the Roc-A-Fella Records auction.

“I heard that he had that $12 million to buy Roc-A-Fella and be [Jay-Z’s] boss,” Dash said. “But where you at? It’s still for sale. The prices are up. They pushed the auction back. The starting price was 1.2 [million]. Now, it’s 3 million. And if you got it like you say it, buy it. I challenge you.”

Dash was forced to auction off his stake in Roc-A-Fella Records to pay off lawsuit-related debts and back taxes. A judge delayed the auction in August.

Donald Trump Catches Big Break In Sentencing For Hush Money Conviction

Donald Trump won’t be sentenced for falsifying business records until after the 2024 presidential election. Judge Juan Merchan postponed Trump’s sentencing in the hush money case on Friday (September 6).

“The imposition of sentence will be adjourned to avoid any appearance—however unwarranted—that the proceeding has been affected by or seeks to affect the approaching presidential election in which the defendant is a candidate,” the judge ruled. “The court is a fair, impartial and apolitical institution. Adjourning decision on the motion and sentencing … should dispel any suggestion that the court will have issued any decision or imposed sentence either to give an advantage to or to create a disadvantage for any political party and/or any candidate for any office.”

He added, “This is not a decision this court makes lightly, but it is the decision which in this court’s view best advances the interests of justice.”

Trump’s sentencing was pushed back to November 26, three weeks after the election. It was previously scheduled for September 18.

The former president was convicted of 34 counts of falsifying business records in May. The charges stemmed from hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels.

Trump’s lawyers filed a motion to overturn his conviction based on presidential immunity. Judge Merchan delayed his decision on the motion until November 12.

A separate judge rejected Trump’s attempt to move the hush money case from New York’s state court to federal court. Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein said it would be “highly improper for [the federal] court to evaluate issues of bias, unfairness or error in the state trial.”

A$AP Rocky Fans Think He Dissed Drake On “Ruby Rosary” Amid Feud

A$AP Rocky released his J. Cole collaboration “Ruby Rosary” on Friday (September 6). The song’s second verse raised questions as fans believed it included subliminal shots at Drake.

“Like who dared me to die?/You a dead man walking like you barely alive/Cut everything but the family ties//Cut the s###, cut the lies, word to the wise/Who in your Top 5? Haha (F### your Top 5)/I don’t get fresh to death, b####, I’m buried alive/I heard dog talking funny like it’s Family Guy/Caring for n##### like I’m Mary or Bob, made a promise to God/You gotta strive when you marry the mob/They ain’t seen this drip since Rick the Ruler/They done forced my hand, my s### is Rugers/We don’t wear Zara, s### don’t suit us/Every time they throw stones, I take ’em to my jeweler,” Rocky rapped.

Fans analyzing Rocky’s lyrics assumed he was alluding to Drake’s diss track “Family Matters.” Drake fired shots at the A$AP Mob member on “Family Matters” with references to Rihanna, the mother of Rocky’s children.

“Smoking Fenty ’bout it, should’ve put you on the first one, tryna get it in/Ask Fring if this a good idea the next time you cuddled in that bed again/She’ll even tell you leave the boy alone ‘fore you get your head split again,” Drake rapped in response to Rocky’s jabs from Future and Metro Boomin’s “Show of Hands.”

Last month, Rocky claimed he had no interest in battling Drake.

“You got to realize, certain n##### was throwing shots for years,” he told Billboard. “I ain’t in the middle of that s###. That’s not how I retaliate right now. I got bigger fish to fry than some p#### boys. It is real beef outside. It is real. N##### getting really clipped and blitzed every day. N##### sniping n##### every day. That little kitty s### ain’t about nothing.”

Rocky’s “Ruby Rosary” will appear on his upcoming album Don’t Be Dumb. He hasn’t announced a release date for the project.

Tyrese Goes Nuclear On Joe Budden Over “Bitter” Podcast Take: “That’s My N###a, So I Thought”

Tyrese has fired back at Joe Budden after he called him “bitter” during a recent episode of his podcast while discussing his emotional interview with The Breakfast Club.

Tyrese Gibson jumped on Instagram Live to defend himself and ended up venting for nearly an hour in response to the “strays” he caught during a segment on The Joe Budden Podcast. As he started off his remarks on Budden’s classification that he’s bitter, based on his statements about his ongoing divorce in the interview, Tyrese suggested the root of the “Pump It Up” hitmaker’s issues don’t actually have to do with him.

“I need to understand with what’s going on with Joe Budden and why I’m catching strays anytime anything that happens with me and The Breakfast Club, let’s run the clip back!” Tyrese said

He then remarked on an interaction that occurred when he appeared on Budden’s platform last month prior to his viral interview with The Breakfast Club.

“Soon as I came on The Joe Budden Podcast, I had on a green hat that looked very similar to this,” he recalled. “Soon as I walk in, it’s like, ‘You ain’t going to come over here and talk about all that spiritual eagle s##t you know what I mean? Jesus and all that at The Breakfast Club s##t.’”

Tyrese suggested he feel blindsided by the criticism from someone he considered more than an acquaintance, adding, “Alright Joe, I actually know you. I know you and I know Melyssa Ford. I’ve done too many turn-ups with Joe Buddren. Like, that’s my n###a, or so I thought.”

He went on to lay out his theory directly making the connection between Budden’s repeat shade and his appearances on The Breakfast Club.

“Every time I do anything with The Breakfast Club and then attempt to follow up with Joe, I’m just catching strays,” he said. “So I’m like, ‘Yo, you got a problem with Envy and Charlamagne, y’all need to address that, bro, because what the f### that’s got to do with me?’”

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by AllHipHop (@allhiphopcom)

But it appears the aspect of the situation that really struck a nerve for Tyrese was Budden’s “bitter” comment in regards to how he had been speaking about dealing with his divorce.

“You kept going,” he said, shaking his head. “You went as far as calling me bitter. You see this hat right here? [points to hat that reads ‘no f###s given’] This is why n###as commit suicide. This is why Black men, and men in general, don’t say nothing, don’t act like they feel nothing. I’m a grown-ass man, bro. You could have all the f###ing influence in the world, you’ll never be able to convince me that I’m bitter with what I’m feeling and what I’m processing.”

He continued, both calling out Budden’s lack of experience with certain challenges in life while also throwing shade on him because of it.

“You’ve never been married,” he said. Probably been engaged a few times. That knee is getting old, Joe! How long you been with your girl? That knee, when you gonna pop that knee? That knee is getting old!”

Central Cee Shuts Down London & Paris With 7 Rose Gold Supercars

Central Cee took over parts of London and Paris, causing mayhem with a convoy of seven rose gold-colored supercars to film his latest video.

The British rap star joined forces with R&B songstress RAYE, who made history at the BRIT Awards earlier this year, on the new single “MOI.”

The track is accompanied by a slick visual filmed across four days in multiple locations in London and Paris.

A behind-the-scenes video from Double or Nothing Productions revealed how the team overcame the “impossible” task of assembling the fleet of rose gold supercars and the effect the vehicles and the famous rapper had in England and France.

The crew stopped traffic in London to film in front of the convoy before a quick shoot in the Eurotunnel to Paris. After running out of fuel on the highways, Central Cee and the crew eventually made it to the French capital, where they filmed inside the Louis Vuitton store.

However, Cench and the luxury cards soon gained attention, and the crew was mobbed by hundreds of fans. Thankfully, the team managed to film a quick performance before heading off to the Eiffel Tower.

“MOI” follows two years of major milestones for Central Cee, including his recent surprise drop, “Billion Streams Freestyle,” which celebrated his milestone of surpassing a billion streams. His summer banger “Band4Band,” with Da Baby, smashed British streaming records and earned Cench the highest Billboard Hot 100 debut of his career.

Central and fellow London rapper Dave dominated the U.K. charts in 2023 with their first-ever collaboration, “Sprinter.”  The powerhouse duo debuted at No. 1 in the U.K., and “Sprinter” broke multiple streaming records on its way to becoming the first-ever U.K. rap track to spend 10 weeks atop the British chart.

The context-less post raised eyebrows with fans divided. Some assumed he was making an announcement about his sexuality. Others believed he was trolling, while some accused him of “baiting” the LGTBQ community.

Hours later, NLE Choppa returned with another post, clearing up any confusion.

“Out… With ‘OR WHAT,’” he wrote alongside a snippet of the visuals for this new single. Furthermore, NLE confirmed his third studio album is on the way, adding, “Project SEPT 27.”

However, the post garnered an angry reaction from fans outraged over the trolling.

Several people replied with “corny,” while one person wrote, “blocked. unfollowed. name muted.”

Another user shared a clip of NLE speaking at a recent Black Pride Event in Atlanta, insisting his support of the LGBTQ community was genuine.

“the way he stood there and lied…” they wrote. “The way he’s literally queer baiting and the LGBTQ community is eating it up,” another user added.

Earlier this week, NLE Choppa shared a highlight reel from his set at The Bank. During his performance, he insisted his performance wasn’t a “gimick” and said he didn’t need extra views or numbers. “I’m really here to make a difference and show y’all it’s love,” he concluded. “No matter what.”

A$AP Rocky Featuring J. Cole – Ruby Rosary

The track is expected to land on Don’t Be Dumb, now set to arrive sometime this fall, with Rocky revealing leaks & sample issues delayed the August release.

Meanwhile, A$AP Rocky dismissed the notion of any Drake beef during an interview last month.

“You got to realize, certain n##### was throwing shots for years,” the Harlem native stated. “I ain’t in the middle of that s###. That’s not how I retaliate right now. I got bigger fish to fry than some p#### boys. It is real beef outside. It is real. N##### getting really clipped and blitzed every day. N##### sniping n##### every day. Dame Dash Suffers Embarrassing Mishap After Calling Out 50 Cent On IG Live

Dame Dash suffered an unfortunate dental mishap, losing his grill after calling out 50 Cent while on Instagram Live.

The Roc-A-Fella co-founder recently challenged the G-Unit honcho to a mogul battle in response to 50 Cent’s comments about Dame Dash being broke. On Thursday evening (September 5), Dame hopped on IG Live to discuss their issues.

He referenced 50 Cent recalling that Dame told him a million dollars isn’t a lot of money.  “Hell no it ain’t no money,” he began. “N#### I owe $8 million in taxes right now to one state. A million ain’t going to help me. I can’t even have no money until I make at least 16 million.”

Dame went on to say that he wouldn’t have acknowledged him if he didn’t consider him a “worthy” opponent, but he wants to test 50 Cent to see if he’s “the real deal.”

However, immediately after uttering the sentence, he appeared to choke, sending his grill flying out of his mouth.

“Oh God,” he said while fixing his grill and handing the camera to someone else.

Livebitez shared a clip of the mishap on Instagram, and users had a field day in the comment section. Many believed the grill was in fact a set of dentures, while others couldn’t wait for 50 Cent’s response.

“So basically, he’s lying through his teeth,” one person shared. “God is hilarioussss. It def fell out & that exact moment for a reason. Tryna link with Jay opps is sad.He needs to take accountability bc if he was never moving funny, they’d still be in business together.”

“Wheeew, 50 is gonna have a blast with this one!” another person added.

Before losing his grill, Dame Dash argued he was self-made, separating himself from 50 Cent.

“I’m on this journey on my own, that’s what I choose,” he asserted. “You know I wish I had an Eminem and I wish I had a Dr. Dre to say, ‘Yo. You can’t blackball that man.’ But I ain’t got that. N##### that I put on is fighting me the most.”

He continued, “If you raise money or if you got somebody else funding your s###, Your s### better be way better than mine ‘cuz I’m paying for my s### myself.”

The pair fell out before losing fellow Migos rapper Takeoff, and their relationship has been strained ever since. However, it appears Quavo and Offset are making progress amid the loss of another rapper

On Thursday (September 5), news of the untimely passing of Rich Homie Quan left the Hip-Hop community reeling. Quavo was among those paying tribute, posting a photo of Quan alongside Young Thug and Migos. Significantly, he placed a heartbroken emoji above the image of Offset.

Quavo also reposted Metro Boomin’s tribute, which featured images of the Atlanta rappers. “The night we made young rich homies,” he wrote before tagging Quavo and Offset. “These days were a very special time in history when everybody was hungry and working together towards the same goal!”

A short while later, Quavo shared another post, confirming he and Offset have spoken. “Good Convo With My Bro,” he wrote on a post backed by Quavo and Offset’s “Nothing Changed.”

Things have been rocky between Quavo and Offset following Takeoff’s passing, with the tension reportedly bubbling over into an altercation at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

Back in March, Offset opened up about their relationship, revealing he and Quavo have love for each other and were still grieving.

“We men, we real brothers, and we cool with it, so be cool with it,” he explained. “Don’t ever try and turn us against each other. I hate that s###. At the end of the day, it ain’t your business.”

Travis Scott Rewards Fans For Making Decade-Old Mixtape A Huge Hit In 2024

Travis Scott fans received an exciting update in a CULTURED Magazine story published on Thursday (September 5). Scott discussed his roots as a producer and revealed he’s working on a follow-up to his 2023 album Utopia in a conversation with artist George Condo.

“I’m gonna be back in New York,” Scott told Condo. “I’m back in album mode. I’ve been working on music and s### every day on tour. When I’m doing the stadiums, because they’re sold out, I can see the music for what it is. I’m f###### amped.”

He added, “I started in producing, making beats. I haven’t stopped making beats for other artists and for myself. It’s been important for me to get back into that and remind people that’s my foundation. I remember working on my first mixtape ever. A lot of people didn’t understand where I was trying to take things, and for me to be able to do that now, at this level, is ill. When I made the ‘FE!N’ beat I was like, ‘Yo, this is crazy, being able to put forth the same energy since day one.'”

Scott let fans know he’s working on a new album after they nearly helped him top the Billboard 200 with his re-release of Days Before Rodeo. Scott commercially released the 2014 mixtape for the first time on August 23.

Days Before Rodeo debuted at No. 2 on Billboard 200. It was the fifth Top 5 entry of Scott’s career.

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter prevented Scott from scoring a No. 1 debut with his 10-year-old mixtape. Carpenter’s album Short ‘N Sweet secured the chart’s top spot with 362,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week.

Scott’s mixtape sold roughly 361,000 equivalent album units. It was the best sales week for any rap project in 2024.

Boosie and Ralo collaborated in the past, but their relationship deteriorated over snitching allegations. Boosie called Ralo a rat. Ralo denied the allegations.

The bad blood between the two resurfaced this week after Ralo said he didn’t want to be “on stage like Boosie rapping when he 40, 50 years old.” Boosie responded on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“I HAVE NOT SPOKE ON YOU N YEARS @ralofamgoon,” Boosie wrote. “U STILL HURT BY WHAT U DID!! WHAT U DID lol IM GRATEFUL THAT IM STILL MAKING 150k A WEEKEND N SELLING OUT SHOWS.
