For decades people have died over their colors in LA. Everyone knows about the Bloods and the Crips out West and with the gang killing spree “100 days/ 100 nights” taking off last Summer, The Game and other rappers have been doing what they can to quell the violence . That being said, fans of the West Coast rapper may find deeper meaning in this video “My Flag / Da Homies.” In the visual Game brings to life the historical animosity that exists between both the Crips and Bloods with a bevy of featured acts including Ty Dolla $ign, Jay 305, AD, Mitchy E-Slick, Joe Moses, RJ & Skeme. The first half of the video is all red, the second half of the video is all blue. Pick a side if you must but keep the peace and stop the violence!
(AllHipHop News) A simple end of the year music list has ignited serious debates and disses. Hot 97’s Ebro Darden blasted Complex for placing Rae Sremmurd’s SremmLife as the number 3 album of 2015. Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy then fired off some bars back at Ebro during a freestyle on Tim Westwood’s show. Now Pusha T has joined the conversation.
King Push was asked about his favorite group Rae Sremmurd during an interview with Ebro In The Morning. The new president of G.O.O.D. Music expressed he thought Ebro took the list placement too personally which the radio host agreed with. But Ebro and Pusha disagreed with the idea of SremmLife being named the third best album of the year.
“I’m happy with it. I’m good with number 3, totally,” said Pusha.
“That’s f*cking embarrasing,” replied Ebro.
Pusha T’s Darkest Before Dawn album is scheduled for a release on December 18.
Martin Shkreli, 32, became an instant celebrity when he purchased a one-of-one album Wu Tang album and then proclaimed he wanted to bail out Bobby Shmurda. Today, the FBI arrested him.
The pharmaceutical entrepreneur, loathed for raising an HIV drug from $13.50 per pill to $750, was arrested by agents Thursday morning for securities fraud-related infractions. The feds say Shkreli illegally took stock from Retrophin Inc., a company he started in 2011, and paid debts to other businesses unrelated to Retrophin.
He was later ejected from the company.
Shkreli’s lawyer has no responded to inquiries from other media.
Shkreli recently threatened RZA over the $2-million priced Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, sided with Action Bronson and offered to bail out Bobby Shmurda. He said Shmurda’s release would be conditional and said that the young rapper would have to perform or record in exchange for his debt.

(AllHipHop News) N.W.A is joining Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five, Run-D.M.C., Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy as the only Hip Hop acts to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. The announcement was made this morning that the iconic West Coast group was chosen for the Class of 2016.
Along with N.W.A, the ’16 inductees include Steve Miller, Chicago, Cheap Trick, and Deep Purple. International superstar Janet Jackson was nominated this year, but the R&B/Pop singer did not earn enough votes to be selected.
The huge success of the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton may have played a role in the group finally making it into the Hall. N.W.A was also nominated in 2013, but the F. Gary Gray directed movie about their rise in the music business was a commercial and critical hit this year.
Dr. Dre, Eazy-E, Ice Cube, DJ Yella and MC Ren along with the rest of the class of 2016 will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame during a ceremony held in New York on April 8.
(AllHipHop News) Fetty Wap may be the most prominent rapper to emerge from Paterson, New Jersey this year, but there is another rhymer from the town that is now taking aim at the “Trap Queen” performer. Fellow Paterson native Hard Luck dropped a Fetty Wap diss via ForbezDVD.
The intro to the diss track features a clip of Fetty saying he had beef with Hard Luck before he became a mainstream star. Fetty also claimed he was never associated with HL’s Boss Mob, but then footage of him shouting out the crew is played.
“Can’t Go” includes Hard Luck claiming he and his friends “g#########” Fetty’s girlfriend. Luck also suggested the 300 recording artist is gay and he turned his back on the local people that helped put him on.
(AllHipHop News) Many Hip Hop followers look at Jadakiss as one of the greatest lyricists to rise from the East Coast. However, his home state of New York has suffered criticism for years due to the lack of younger rappers to break out on a national level.
AllHipHop.com caught up with Kiss to get his thoughts on the talk of New York Hip Hop falling off. The creator of the recently released album Top 5 Dead Or Alive is not buying into the idea that the Empire State is no longer a major player in the game.
“New York could never fall off as long as my heart is beating,” expresses Jadakiss.
The “Ain’t Nothing New” spitter then names numerous NYC based emcees that are helping to keep the city’s rap scene alive. He added, “New York is never falling off as long as these people exist. You have to lose your mind to say something like that.”
In a string of tweets late Tuesday night, Mac Miller acknowledged what so many of his peers seem to be unwilling to acknowledge: that racism is a real, systemic ill and white people really need to do more to address its evil.
From the tone of some of Miller’s tweets, it would seem as though he was motivated by last night’s Republican presidential debates, at which the source material for one of his more popular songs was a key factor. Regardless, we could all use more of this — namely, privileged people doing and saying things that anyone with a sliver of morality would.
Azealia Banks was reportedly arrested when she got into a physical altercation with a pair of bouncers at a Manhattan nightclub Wednesday morning.
The Queen rapper was arrested after an alleged attack on female security.
The incident allegedly occurred because Banks didn’t have a hand stamp at a private party around 12:30 am Wednesday morning at Up & Down nightclub. The party was invite-only.
“It was an invite-only party,” the source told the New York Post. “You needed a stamp to get in.” The bouncers reportedly didn’t know who Banks was and that the artist started “screaming at the top of her lungs, cursing about who she was and that she was on Rihanna’s album.”
Azealia Banks then allegedly spit in the [female bouncer’s] face” and then began “biting the same woman in the boob, almost ripping her shirt.”
After she was removed, Banks said she was going to call the police. Reports say she then punched the bouncer in front of the police, later asking “”Why are you arresting me?”
Banks faces a misdemeanor charge of third-degree assault, according to reports.
The rap singer has yet to comment on the allegations.
Maybe LL should change his name to TG Cool J, because The Grammys love the Hip-Hop icon.
Cool J returns to host the biggest awards show yet again. The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced today that they would have the Queens, NY native back for the fifth time.

It’s going to be an incredible night, and I’m excited to share this experience with the world.”
Traverse with J. Cole as he passes through New York, London and North Carolina preparing his 2014 hit album Forest Hills Drive. This is one episode it 1/4 that leads up to the Jan. 9 premiere on HBO.
Meek Mill is the man of the hour and he has given everybody an early Kwazaa gift! And Nicki Minaj “regifted” it for The ‘Gram! I mean, this got a gazillions hits before I could ever repost it. There’s no need for me to say anything other than pass it along.

Martin Shkreli is one of the most hated men on Earth, but now he wants to do a small act of good will. The pharmaceutical magistrate wants to bail out Bobby Shmurda and pay his defense as well.
According to reports, that could represent a $4 million dollar legal bill, but an exclusive interview with HipHopDX detailed his plans for the embattled BK rapper.
“We’re actually in discussion to try to bail out Bobby Shmurda. Forget whether you think he’s guilty or not, the guy should not be sitting in jail right now. It’s insane,” Shkreli told DX. “He’s from Brooklyn. I’m from Brooklyn. He deserves a fair trial. He deserves good lawyers. He doesn’t have good lawyers. His label is hanging him out to dry and so I have a conference call tomorrow morning with them (December 15). I’ll show up with $2 million bail money no f**king problem. He’s not going to flee the country. I’m not going to lose anything. I’m going to try to make that happen. That’s one thing I’m working on.”
The deal won’t be without a hitch, said Shkreli, and unabashed “opportunist.”
He continued, “I’m a fan and I’m a business man. I’m not going to do this for free. [Laughs] He’s going to have to do something for me. I don’t know what that’s going to look like yet. He’s going to owe me one, obviously. I’d like to pay for his legal defense as well. I’m a big fan but also I’m an opportunist. You know that. I see an opportunity here.”
Right now, Shkreli said he is working on the details with Epic Records to get the rapper out.
He also stated that he was upset with Wu-Tang’s leader RZA, who expressed dissatifation with the purchaser of the last group album. Once Upon A Time In Shaolin cost Shkreli a cool $2 million but that didn’t stop RZA from objecting to his business practices.
“This thing [Wu-Tang thing] is starting to get pretty tense. You probably see that increasingly. I’m getting pretty frustrated by it,” he said. “I bought the most expensive album in the history of mankind and f**king RZA is talking s### behind my back and online in plain sight. I’m just getting p##### off. That’s not the way I do business. If I hand you $2 million, f###### show me some respect. At least have the decency to say nothing or “no comment.” The guy says “…before his business practices came to light.” What the f### does that mean? I f**king make money. That’s what I do. That’s why I can f###### afford a f###### $2 million album. What do you think I do, make cookies? No, motherf***er. I sell drugs. [Laughs] I felt insulted.”
Shkreli took his issues with RZA a step farther, and even suggested he could take it to the streets. He explained a situation where he was owed $3 million, how he managed to get it back and how that related to RZA.
“I’m definitely the real f***ing deal. This is not a f###### act. I threatened that f***ing guy and his f***ing kids because he f***ing took $3 million from me and he ended up paying me back. He called my bluff. He said, “You’re not f***ing going to go after me.” [I said] “Yes I motherf***ing will.” I had two guys parked outside of his house for six months watching his every f###### move. I can get down. I don’t think RZA knows that. I think he thinks I’m some powder puff white guy CEO that’s got too much money. No. No, no, no. I definitely don’t spend $2 million for nothing. That’s a lot of money, even if you’re Carl Icahn. I’d encourage him to shut the f**k up before he goes a little too far. We’ll see what happens. I think he’s a smart man. He definitely acts like his s**t doesn’t stink and he invented rap. This concept of selling one album, this s**t’s backfiring for him now…”
Martin Shkreli has been highly vilified after he increased the price of a necessary HIV medication whose patent had expired by 5,500 percent. Daraprim once was sold for $13.50 per pill, but now it is $750. Shkreli recently said he would reduce the cost, but didn’t specify how much.
A Baltimore judge has declared a mistrial in the case of BPD officer William Porter, because the jury was deadlocked and unable to reach a unanimous verdict on any of the charges angaist the officer.
Freddie Gray was a 25-year-old black man whose neck was broken in April as he was transported to jail. Gray was handcuffed, but not wearing a seat belt. There was a huge uprising and outrage in the aftermath of the Baltimore native’s death.
Porter was one of six officers charged and now prosecutors must decide of they will put Porter on trial again. The jury comprised of four African American women, three white women, three African American men and two white men.
Officials will convene again on Thursday morning for a new trial date. CNN reports that Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby “visibly upset” when the verdict was dropped down. All parties are under a gag order and cannot speak on the case until every police officer accused has been tried.
Porter was one of three Black officers involved in the case. Porter stands charged with involuntary manslaughter, second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office.
Prosecutors say that the police were deliberately trying to injure Gray. Porter testified and said that he was just policing in the way that he normally would.
Following the success of ‘Straight Outta Compton’ Ice Cube’s son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., seems to take a major “L” when a groupie by the name of Celina leaked their personal videos. The crazy thing is this woman was the same one claiming to be pregnant by Fetty Wap. They sure do know how to pick them huh? Fans took issue with the fact that he recorded a lengthy video trying to explain himself to what they considered to be a “thot.” Perhaps dating and getting emotional over a “Celina” type long term would be considered a “L” too, especially for someone who may have a promising career ahead. Others felt that it wasn’t the problem that he was trying to explain himself, as most men in relationships have been there. According to some the problem was him trying to explain himself to someone that’s been passed around. Sorry Lil’ Cube you have to do better.
Safaree still won’t let it go! Nicki Minaj has moved on. People aren’t really interested in him as a rapper, and he continues to sing the same tune about him writing all of Nicki Minaj’s lyrics. During an interview with DJ Akademiks, Safaree even went as far as to say anything that had to do with Nicki rapping (prior to their split) he wrote on it. He said Nicki didn’t try to cut him out of everything, she actually did cut him out of everything since he never got his writing credit. Now here’s the thing; at the beginning of this year Safaree said Nicki Minaj was writing her own lyrics. SB needs to pick a story.
Zaytoven has arguably been the producer of the year having basically founded the trap sound years ago with artists like Gucci Mane, Yo Gotti and Future. But now the homie is putting on a new upcoming talent Kevin Lavell, who coordinated a new song with Hustle Gang rapper Young Dro. “Muscle” is an instant club banger that was brought to lif by video director Ryan Snyder. “Muscle” is the first single off Kevin Lavell’s debut mixtape, Sorry 4 Nothing, produced by Zaytoven.
Rumor has it that Slim Jesus’ shows aren’t as “lit” as he claims them to be. Your “favorite” drill rapper has received pretty bad concert reviews. It has been said that he has been performing for crowds of 30 people, and at his Kentucky show he showed up late, and bored the crowd so bad that the owners sent strippers on stage to entertain those in attendance. Slim Jesus claims his shows are lit. Someone is lying. Would you attend a Slim Jesus show?!
