(AllHipHop News) Former Rick Ross associate and Queens representative Bang Em Smurf spoke with Report Card Radio’s Mikey T The Movie Star about the Maybach Music Group boss visiting Queens. “That’s a jab [at 50], because when he was dealing with me there was no business. He wasn’t doing nothing for me and the hood, so now he wants to do all this,” said Smurf. “That’s corny to me. That’s lame n*gga sh*t. Who gives a f*ck?”

In addition, Smurf spoke on Rozay doing a freestyle over 50’s “In Da Club” beat for his Renzel Remixes mixtape. He also called that move corny and nothing more than a publicity stunt for Ross to promote his new album Black Market.

Jeremih Isn’t Happy With The Way Def Jam Marketed His New Album “Late Nights”

Jeremih’s newest album Late Nights hasn’t had the best release start compared to many other albums this year. His label, Def Jam, has not been able to properly promote his album for it to successfully drop. Earlier this week, 50 Cent was the first to speak out about the incredibly high $18.99 price tag that came along with the album. And now, the “Birthday Sex” singer now shows his fans how p##### off he is about they way things have been handled.

Although Def Jam failed to put Jeremih’s new album properly, Late Nights has been getting critical acclaim. The Chi-Town singer has recieved notoriety from performing “Somewhere in Paradise” with Chance the Rapper last night on Saturday Night Live. Too bad his album can’t sale well, thanks to Def Jam.

The Game Falls On Stage During Concert

If you thought it was hard trying to stay in one place in a crowd at a concert, it might be a bit harder to stay balanced on stage. Well, that may be true for The Game, that is. During a concert last night, the Los Angeles rapper ended up falling on stage while jamming to “Big Rings.” Looking at the video, this possibly has to be one of the slowest falls we’ve seen ever. The Game was soon helped out by his fans after the blunder, and he got seconds after.

Master P’s ‘Family Empire’ Ranks #1 Without Cox Cable’s Support

(AllHipHop News) Percy “Master P” Miller’s ever-expanding media empire adds another triumph. The Hip Hop mogul premiered his new reality series Family Empire on Reelz in November, and the show has become a hit for the cable network. However, Master P’s hometown cable network refuses to play his hit show. Master P grew up in New Orleans, Cox Cable has always been the city’s #1 affiliate. As a teenager, Cox Cable was Master P’s first employer.

Now that Master P’s Family Empire TV show is the #1 show for viewers 18-49 on the Reelz network, Master P and his team has been getting bombarded by social media, texts, phone calls, mail and email from local fans in New Orleans complaining that they can’t get Master P’s TV show on Cox Cable. Master P replied saying that he had no idea that Master P’s Family Empire was not available on Cox Cable.

Meet The Browns: Monica & Chris Brown Will Release Forthcoming Albums On Same Day

RCA, Monica, Chris Brown, and R&B fans will have a great day on December 18th as both of the RCA label mates will release their forthcoming albums! Chris Brown and Monica have always been supportive of each other’s careers, and are both anticipating the success of both albums.

From ‘Miss Thang’ to ‘Code RED’, Monica has delivered exceptional R&B and demonstrated her vocal prowess since the young age of 12. The powerhouse vocalist’s eighth studio album ‘Code Red’ is on the way. R&B and soul music have been in trouble and one of the greatest R&B singers of a generation, Monica Brown, is sounding the alarm. There is a lot of finger pointing and key players playing the blame game as critics blame millennials, and millennials blame the music. Then it makes you ask: is it the radio stations? Is it the label? Is it the internet? According to Monica,

“Soul music is alive and well and people love it when introduced to it properly.”

“As an artist and real genuine soul/R&B lover, I felt that it’s a state of emergency for the music. Its important for this generation to know and understand how important the music was and is to the world and we are best when we can bridge the sound between the old and the new,” Monica says.

Who would know better than the Grammy Award-winning singer what R&B needs. Remember, Monica started her career professionally at the tenderfoot age of 12 when her first major label deal was signed. By thirteen Monica became the youngest artist ever to score two back-to-back Billboard #1 chart-topping hit records with “Don’t Take it Personal” (Just one of dem Days) and “Before you Walk Out of My Life.” She went on to become the first artist to top the U.S. Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart with No.1 songs over the span of three consecutive decades (1990s, 2000s and 2010s).

Monica’s forthcoming album ‘Code Red’ sees tempo driven, high energy, effervescent, and lyrically captivating records as well as ballads, and songs with true messages and substance. Missy Elliott, Akon, Lil’ Wayne and more are featured on the album. The album sees production mostly from super producer Polow Da Don and songwriting from the very talented Jozzy. ‘Code Red’ also takes fans back to what R&B was with storytelling as it chronicles Monica’s journey. Brown now feels she is complete as a person, woman and as a mom, and it was time to share new music with her fans.

Monica explains that R&B is important because it’s the music we were created to, have created to, got married to, fell in love to etc. With R&B music there is a state of emergency and she needs all lovers and supporters of the genre to unite and keep it going. Monica recently told DJ Smallz,

“Myself being one person, one artist I can’t change that on my own; no one is that powerful. But all of us together can make huge strides and just allow this generation to allow what this music embodies, which is a lot of love a lot of passion, a lot of soul. You look at what Tyrese is doing. It’s so important to the entire genre of music because it’s reopening doors and that’s what I hope to do as well. “

Monica’s first album dropped when she was 13. At 34, she looks back and sees how important R&B was for her generation. She wants to connect with a new generation, but with the same love and the same kind of music. Hit maker Polow Da Don was brought in as he understands her as an artist, a person, and her history. She wanted to bridge the gap between the young and old. Because of Polow and Monica’s relationship, Polow “got it” and instantly knew what writers and artists to enlist for the project. Pop & Oak, Danja, and more were a part of the creation of the album as well.

RCA will also be releasing Chris Brown’s seventh studio album, ‘Royalty’ on the 18th. Although Brown recently dropped a 34-track mixtape, ‘Before The Party’, he definitely still has a forthcoming studio album as well. Those looking for a long list of A-list features may be surprised as the only features are Future and Solo Lucci, Brown’s RCA label mate. Chris also let it be known that he doesn’t depend on any other artist to “make himself.” The album will feature a wide range of club anthems, dance hits, and smooth love ballads. The album will feature a smooth soulful side as well. With this album Chris wants to show where he is in his life right now: the good, the bad, and the ugly. Brown has expressed that he likes this album equally as his first album. Like Monica, Chris feels that his album shows his journey. It will show him finding himself, knowing who he is, and it will be his way of saying he is okay with being where he is in life right now.

Both Monica and Chris plan to deliver solid R&B albums. Monica in particular even sings about missing real music, and she lists several notable artists in the lyrics in hopes to expose this generation to real music and engage them enough to want to research the incredible artists from previous eras. Support real R&B and grab a copy of both Chris & Monica’s albums on December 18th!

Ty Dolla $ign Discusses The Meaning Behind His ‘Free TC’ Album, The Success Of The West Coast & More

Ty Dolla $ign has had nothing short of success since he hit the music scene. From releasing gold singles, being featured in XXL Magazines 2014 Freshmen class, to his new debut album in 2015, Ty Dolla has been hard at work. Ty has also proved himself to be one of the most sought after featured artists! Fourth quarter 2015 has been big for Ty as he released his highly anticipated debut album ‘Free TC’ (in stores now). Ty Dolla $ign enlisted an all-star cast that includes guest features from Babyface, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, R. Kelly, Trey Songz, Brandy, Jagged Edge & more! The album draws from his musical roots while also presenting the message that he puts his family first. He wants the album to be a voice for the incarcerated and those held down, as he believes without a shadow of a doubt his brother, who is currently incarcerated, is innocent. Ty Dolla $ign plans to use the royalties he makes from the album to free his brother and raise awareness about racial and social injustice, and the mass incarceration going on in our country right now.

Ty is also quite the musician as he plays the bass, keys, drums. and guitar. His musicianship, he explains, helps him in his artistry, and he believes it will help him and his music stand the test of time. Ty created his album over the course of 3 years successfully seeking out and rounding up all of the best in the game. He even spent $60,000 of his own money on an orchestra. That’s a whole new meaning to live instrumentation! Ty’s album is also laced with some pretty nice interludes and features from TC himself.

AllHipHop caught up with Ty Dolla $ign to discuss the messages and composition of his new album, ‘Free TC,’ his musicianship, the success of west coast artists, his bachelor lifestyle and sex life, attending the Million Man March, new endeavors, and so much more. Check out the interview below!

YIKES! Stitches Got Beat Up The Day After Getting Knocked Out

The HELL? The boy Stitches is taking massive losses out here. I missed it earlier, but here it is: dude got beat up the day after getting beat up by The Game’s manager. The Miami dude was once regarded as the biggest coke dealing hombre to those that didn’t know any better. But, now…dude is going downhill fast. This time, some men found him and caught him in a parking lot and just started beating on him. The men wail on him as he sits inside the car. Then, somebody opens the door and Stitches manages to kick them away, before speeding away. It appears that the men sought to chase him, but the video stops.

Apparently, Stitches claims The Game paid his own friends to beat him up. With friends like that who needs…enemies? Like I said, this happened the day after Wack 100 laid him out.
Stitches talked some sh*t on the internet.
https://www.instagram.com/p/_K24xMvoON/RELATED: The Game’s Manager Explains How He Broke Down Stitches

On the flip side, there are other people that are claiming that Stitches is out here snitching. I have been sent evidence of all of this in the form of text messages. The messages say that Stitches has been arranging meetings with the cops and people that witnessed his beat down. I dunno.
Stitches is connected according to sources.

stitches

Last, but certainly not least, another video has popped up chronicling Stitches authenticity.

I didn’t realize dude was famous until just now. Wow.

E-Bro and Hot97 Crew Debate With Complex About Top 50 Albums Of 2015

After hosting a huge holiday concert with Busta Rhymes, Hot 97 is rolling out some more great content just in time for the holidays. In this heated interview we find members of the Complex staff defending their list of the Top 50 Albums of 2015 to E-Bro and the gang.

Along with Rosenberg and Laura, the Hot97 staff digs into Complex’s choice at #3 with Rae Sremmurd’s debut album, SremmLife. Meanwhile Drake’s If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late was somewhere in the 20’s and To Pimp a Butterfly landed in the #1 spot. But, there were some interesting discussions being had about how the albums were picked and the influence of Complex on the culture.

“I didn’t think the list was all the way bad, um I think that I had my discrepancies. We can start with #50 I think was the Drake and Future album. And then #49 was the conveniently the Meek Mill album, the reason I use the word convenient is because obviously there was the Drake and Meek Mill situation, um and then you putting those at 49 and 50 seemed a little troll worthy, seemed like you guys were doing that for attention. Thats how I took it… then you have Rae Sremmurd’s album at 3, I’d love to hear this Rae Sremmurd conversation,” Ebro said.

“…If you listen to the album and you listen to some songs there are stories on there where they recount relationships that have gone poorly, they recount their rise from being homeless to now living in the hills, and both of them rap with a dexterity that a lot of rappers put in their lane just can’t do,” a Complex editor explained.

“There is an innate hipster sense of love for Rae Sremmurd that cannot be ignored that is part of the equation,” Rosenberg explained. “That is part of it!”

“C’mon you know what it is, its the cute little black kids from the ‘hood that we want to uplift and that we think is cute. The same with the lil hipster white people that love the drug dealer raps and they force feed all the pills and sizzurp rap s### on the hipster blogs,” E-Bro lamented.

What do you think? Check it out below, there is a lot to talk about!:
