Tom Hanks’ Son Says He Will Keep Using The N-Word (VIDEO)

It’s no secret that African-Americans feel disrespected when other races say the N-word, but Tom Hanks’ son could care less. Chester Hanks, who is an aspiring rapper who goes by Chet Haze, recently took to his Instagram to let critics know that he will say that word whenever he likes.

“We have also reached a point where the word can no longer have a negative connotation if we so choose,” he wrote in a lengthy caption under a video. “And who is to say only black people can use it? The way I see it, it’s a word that unifies the culture of HIP-HOP across ALL RACES, which is actually kind of a beautiful thing.”

In another picture he posted with rapper Chill Akill, he wrote “I do say the n word in real life amongst my black friends who get me and can’t nobody tell me I can’t say what the f### I feel like no disrespect to the struggle of black ppl during the civil rights movement but it’s 2015 now.”

Peep the two posts below.

If I say the word n#### I say it amongst people I love and who love me. If I say "f### yall hatin ass n#####" it's because that's really how I felt at the time. And I don't accept society getting to decide what ANYBODY can or can't say. That's something we call FREE SPEECH. Now I understand the older generation who grew up in the Jim Crowe era might have strong feelings against this. And that's understandable… But what I'm saying is this is 2015… And even tho we are still far from where we need to be and black people are still being literally KILLED by a RACIST and f##### up system… We have also reached a point where the word can no longer have a negative connotation if we so choose. And who is to say only black people can use it? The way I see it, it's a word that unifies the culture of HIP-HOP across ALL RACES, which is actually kind of a beautiful thing. It's a word that can be used out of camaraderie and love, not just exclusively for black people. What's the point in putting all these built up "rules" about it. It's time to let go. You can hate me or love me for it, but can't nobody tell me what I can or can't say. It's got nothing to do with trying to be a thug. It's about the culture of the music. And that's all I have to say about that (no pun intended) lol. It's all love. Some people will get it, some people won't. Either way, Ima keep living my life however the f### I want. ALL LOVE.

With A Co-Sign From A$AP Rocky, Robert Gallardo Is On A Mission To Change The Relationship Between Art & Social Media Forever

On May 10, A$AP Rocky left many of his Instagram followers in a state of confusion when the Harlem rapper began uploading blank images on his timeline. According to reports, the strange posts caused Rocky to lose close to 100,000 followers, but those IG users that stuck around were eventually able to view the “L$D” performer’s social media page transform into a series of abstract collages.

“This new experience is brought to you by Robert Gallardo and AWGE,” wrote Rocky in the caption for the initial all-white IG picture. Gallardo is the visual artist that assisted A$AP Rocky in turning the rap star’s Instagram into a digital art gallery.

Gallardo’s own IG page is an exhibition of his creative works which draw inspiration from Hip Hop culture, video games, classic cartoons, and pop art. The craftsman’s unique aesthetic complimented Rocky’s particular artistic tone which led to their collaboration.

The two creative forces partnered together to forge a social media presentation that included over 160 photos. Like the Great Pyramid of Giza, once those pieces were placed in proper order a timeless monument to the human imagination and perception was left behind for the world to see.

Robert Gallardo took the time to provide AllHipHop.com backstory to his A$AP Rocky Instagram collage pieces. The multi-talented artisan also discusses the acknowledgment of Hip Hop influenced art by the high art community, some of his favorite rappers, and more.

Can you just talk about how you got your start in creating art?

I was always artistically inclined but never took it seriously. Just like sketching in class and throwing it away right after. I became an “artist” at the end of 2013, beginning of 2014 when my big homie told me he could print my work on canvas. I started selling my work in January 2014.

How did you first connect with A$AP Rocky?

I connected with Rocky through the Internet. I made a piece to honor the late A$AP Yams. Rocky saw it and reached out. We got to work immediately.

Temperature’s Rising: Nick de la Hoyde- By My Side

“Music is the only drug for the mad addicts,” Nick de la Hoyde spits in his new single, “By My Side.” As a self-diagnosed music addict myself, I am always on the prowl for new music, even when the rest of the world is freaking out over some viral sensation, like Bruce Jenner’s transformation to Caitlyn for instance. Even though A$AP Rocky’s A.L.L.A., Wale’s The Album About Nothing, and Big Sean’s Dark Sky Paradise are currently rotating heavily in my Spotify playlist, Nick de la Hoyde’s new single, “By My Side,” officially released today, has provided the spark to my morning soundtrack.

The typical Hip-Hop Love song is atrocious. An artist spits some rhymes about how, in spite of their many side-chicks, their main chick is the special one. Add Chris Brown or Trey Songz, and you have a 50% chance of making it to the radio. Mainstream Hip-Hop has become like a formulated science, unfortunately. However, on “By My Side,” Nick uses honest lyrics to convey why the object of his love interest is someone he wants to stay as a permanent force in his life. The woman in question is not only his beau, but the muse to his music as well. But speaking of the music, let’s speak a little to the man’s desire to pursue it in the first place.

Nick de la Hoyde is a 20-year-old singer/songwriter/rapper from Sydney, Australia. While Nick’s Australian accent is a huge departure from the mostly American bred rappers that dominate radio in the states, by melding the sounds and vibes of hip-hop, pop, soul, R&B, and spoken word, Nick has developed a style that defies cutesy genre-labeling. With introspective lyrics that read like personal journal entries, his songs express the angst and triumphs that come with youth, dreams, and determination. But music wasn’t always in the cards for Nick. In pursuit of a professional football career, Nick moved to Barcelona, Spain at the age of 15 and lived there for 4 years. It was during this time that Nick started to explore hip-hop music as a way of expressing his frustrations with the ups and downs of following his dreams. What started out as an outlet, soon became a burning passion. Nick wrote lyrics and melodies to his favorite instrumentals as well as original songs, in collaboration with Sydney based composer, musician and producer (and brother) Joseph de la Hoyde (de la Aurora & Monks of Mellonwah).

Nick started off writing his own introspective lyrics and recording them over modern hits, sharing his work on Youtube and Instagram (where he’s built an audience of over 100,000 at @ndelahoyde). Nick’s work recently caught the attention of Chicago based Hip-Hop producer Lemoyne ‘LA’ Alexander (R.Kelly, Aaliyah) who invited Nick to the USA to collaborate. The result, Nick’s debut single “The Longest Way,” realeased in October, entered the US top 100 chart strongly in 2015.

Nick is currently preparing for the of his debut EP Passion, but in the meantime you can check out his latest single on SoundCloud.

As always, make sure to track Nick Delahoyde’s movements on the interwebs:

There is no official word on what role Drake and Pharrell will serve during their respective partnerships with Apple. The New York Post previously reported Drake was in negotiations to make around $19 million to serve as a guest DJ for the revamped iTunes Radio, but a source tells Billboard that number is not likely to be accurate.

“Apple doesn’t normally pay artists for those types of collaborations,” said Billboard‘s source.

The 2015 Worldwide Developers Conference is being held June 8-12 at San Francisco’s Moscone West. The annual event is normally highlighted by Apple introducing new products such as updated versions of iOS and the latest iPhone.

“The App Store ignited an app ecosystem that is simply amazing, forever changing the lives of customers and creating millions of jobs worldwide,” states Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “We’ve got incredible new technologies for iOS and OS X to share with developers at WWDC and around the world, and can’t wait to see the next generation of apps they create.”

(AllHipHop News) On his latest album At.Long.Last.A$AP, A$AP Rocky managed to get veteran emcee Yasiin Bey to return to his roots and perform under the name Mos Def. The man born Dante Smith dropped the Mos Def moniker in 2012, and he had not done much musical work since that time.

A.L.L.A. features Mos on the the closing cut “Back Home.” A$AP Rocky spoke with DJ Whoo Kid about collaborating with the Brooklyn legend.

“He was Mos Def when he was rapping. He wasn’t Yasiin Bey,” said Rocky. “Mos is an artist. Mos will start rapping for no reason.”

The A$AP Mob member also talked about his experiences doing drugs with Wiz Khalifa. Wiz claimed Rocky ran away from a “blunt challenge” which led Rocky to address his rap peer’s accusations.

“I don’t know what’s wrong with Wiz, and I don’t know what’s wrong with Snoop [Dogg]. I don’t know what’s wrong with Chris Brown and all these n*ggas. These n*ggas been on the West Coast too long and these n##### want to smoke too much,” Rocky stated.

According to Rocky, he told the Taylor Gang leader he would go blunt for blunt, but Wiz responded that he does not smoke blunts, only papers. While Rocky admitted he had trouble handling Wiz’s dab, the “L$D” rapper got Wiz back when he got him to do mushrooms for the first time.

“Since he put me on blast for being a punk cause I couldn’t take the dab – even though that was three years ago – that’s cool. Now I gotta put him on blast,” added Rocky. “I give him the shrooms. We go to the after-party. Your man is leaning. He’s like, ‘Oh sh*t, I see it now man. I feel it. You see the light right there, it’s f*cking bending.'”
