Kevin McCall Talks Past Issues With Wale Over Ex-Girlfriend Eva Marcille (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Singer-songwriter Kevin McCall decided to open up about his online altercation with Wale and his fans. The “Naked” performer sat down with VladTV to address the situation.

McCall says the problems began when his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child Eva Marcille left a kissing emoji on a Wale Instagram picture. He claimed the IG comment came after the two were in dispute over visitation for their daughter. According to the Watts native, it was Wale’s followers that pointed out that Eva left the emoji on the MMG star’s photo.

“I don’t follow Wale. I don’t follow her. But his fans through him under the bus,” stated McCall. “Thank your fans, Wale. I’m mean sorry. You can holla at me when you see me.”

Apparently, IG users began mentioning McCall on Wale’s page, and he felt the need to defend himself. He responded by posting a message about not being jealous of a man with herpes, but the post did not include any mention of Wale.

“Any genius would know you don’t respond to that, because it’s gonna seem like it’s true,” McCall said. “He called me. I don’t know how he got my number… I was already turned up, because I’m like ‘I didn’t give you my number. But we’re gonna have this conversation.'”

McCall added that Wale was not “trying to be tough” on the phone. Since he appreciated what the “LoveHate Thing” rhymer had to say, he apologized to Wale.

Common & Fellow Panelists Discuss U#### Mothers & Black Fatherhood On "The Nightly Show" (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Actor/emcee Common was one of the panelists on Wednesday’s episode of The Nightly Show. The Chicago native appeared on the Comedy Central late night program to discuss Black fatherhood.

Com was joined by New York Times columnist Charles M. Blow, President of the Center For Urban Families Joe Jones, and The Nightly Show contributor Mike Yard. The segment began with a clip of CNN’s Don Lemon reporting that 72% of children in the African-American community are born to u#### mothers.

“The number, it definitely hit hard in a way. I didn’t expect it to be that high,” stated Common. “When I hear 72%, it makes me think – ‘Well, that’s the number of u####, but… that doesn’t mean the father is absent.”

The conversation eventually turned to whether African-Americans are too defensive on talking about the subject of personal responsibility. The show’s host Larry Wilmore mentioned the criticism individuals like President Barack Obama and comedian Bill Cosby received when they spoke out about the subject.

“Of course, among our community we feel sometimes when you talk about family business out in the open – some people feel like ‘Why you wanna talk about it?'” explained the “Glory” rapper. “We need to talk about it. It needs to be discussed, and if some feelings get hurt with the truth then that truth is part of the healing process. So I don’t mind when certain elders say what they say about as fathers, we need to step up. But I don’t like the generalizations either.”

The guests also played a round of “Keep It 100.” Each man had to answer questions about playing in the Super Bowl versus being at the birth of their child and the perception Black women are too bossy.

“Everyone is coming to the hospital to say goodbye,” a family member told People.

Despite the unfortunate prognosis, Bobbi Kristina’s loved ones are still holding on that she can recover. A second family source said, “It’s sinking in that this is it, but we’re all still praying that God will intervene and heal her body.”

Bobbi Kristina was reportedly placed in a medical induced coma after she was rushed to an Atlanta area hospital a few days ago. Prior to being hospitalized, the daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in a bathtub at her home.

Mariah Carey Bans Cell Phones At Her Shows?

Mariah Carey’s downward slide is becoming more apparent. While she’s still a personal favorite, she is about to be inducted in the Struggle Hall of Fame if things continue like this. The singer, who is known for her crazy singing range, has reportedly banned cell phones from her shows. She has been caught lip-synching recently and she says no more! I don’t know how credible “naughty gossip” is but this is what they are saying:

After all the lip syncing videos of Mariah Carey surfaced the diva has demands – “no more cell phones are allowed at my concerts.”

“Mariah wants to hide the evidence but doesn’t understand how difficult it is to get everyone to hand over their phones,” a source tells NAUGHTY GOSSIP. “She is demanding NO phones at her Vegas show, or she will not perform.”

I think I want Mariah to get back with Nick and smooth this out.

Dartmouth College To Offer #BlackLivesMatter Course

#BlackLivesMatter will be more than just a hashtag on social media. An ivy league school, Dartmouth College, will be turning it into a course.

The “10 Weeks, 10 Professors: #BlackLivesMatter” course will focus on “race, structural inequality and violence in both a historical and modern context,” according to their school newspaper, The Dartmouth. Ten academic departments within the school will be collaborating to bring the course to life, including women’s and gender studies, anthropology, math, English and history. Fifteen professors will be teaching different sections of the course.

The idea for this class was sparked at a Dartmouth Center for the Advancement of Learning workshop, which encouraged professors to incorporate the events in Ferguson and thereafter into their coursework.

“We just thought that it might be interesting and innovative and exciting to have a course that’s dedicated to this, whereas lots of other people are incorporating it into other courses,” geography professor Abigail Neely told The Dartmouth.

“We hope students will be able to understand that Ferguson is not just an event in 2014, but something that’s tethered in time to a long history and still-emerging ideas about race in the U.S. and how policing works in an age of social media and distributed surveillance,” said English professor Aimee Bahng, who is currently writing her syllabus.

The class will be taught during the upcoming Spring semester.

Man Who Threatened To Behead Officer That Killed Eric Garner Has Been Indicted By Grand Jury

A Detroit man who threatened the NYPD officer who put Eric Garner in a fatal chokehold has been indicted by a grand jury. Alvaro Eduardo Guzman-Telles, 29, was arrested on Jan. 7th in New Mexico and indicted on Jan. 27th.

Guzman-Telles took to his Facebook account in December 2014 and posted a status that read “Kill all cops on sight. No matter the circumstance.” When someone posted a comment under the status he replied “I’m going to personally kill and behead Daniel Pantaleo. This is a written threat and has to be taken extremely seriously.”

After being investigated by the FBI’s New York City Field Office, local cops visited his home where his mother told them that she told her son to delete his posts.

“He said those things about the police, but he doesn’t mean to do these things,” his mother Norma Telles told the New York Daily News.

Telles says her son has Asperger’s Syndrome, a highly functioning form of autism, which causes him to say things that he doesn’t mean.

Guzman-Telles, who has no criminal record, has three registered guns in his name but his father has control of them and he does not have access to the weapons. He faces five years in prison.
