Jeezy Talks Conversations on Hustling With 50 Cent, Nightmares of Past Life + MORE

(AllHipHop News) Ex-drug dealers have historically had the best business models in Hip Hop. During a recent interview, Jeezy explained how his past street life led to nightmares in the early part of his career, conversations on hustling with 50 Cent and more.

On his song “Bury Me A G” from his second major label album The Inspiration, Jeezy rapped “four shots to the chest, my n*ggas get at me/They don’ f##### around and f*cked up my new white tee”. In his Billboard interview, the CTE boss explained how those lyrics were ripped straight from his nightmares:

It’s crazy you said that because if you listen to “Bury Me A G” that’s those nightmares I was having. At that point in time I was like, ‘These ni–as are either gonna kill me or I’m going to kill them.’ That’s how I was living cause I would go places like, if you listen to those lyrics I’m talking about me being out in a club and me running into somebody who maybe it might not go right and them shooting me in my white tee.

In a music genre predicated on youth and constant turnover of trends such as is with Hip Hop, Jeezy has accomplished the seemingly insurmountable feat of maintaining relevance. If you ask Jeezy, no matter profession he chose, that hustler ambition would be intact:

I talked to 50 Cent on the phone [years ago] and he said, “If I was still in the streets I’d be an enforcer.” He said, “If Jay-Z was in the streets, he’d still be a boss. What would you be?” Before I can answer he said, “Nah don’t answer, what would you be?” I’m a true hustler. I’m a true leader, that’s who I am.

Floyd Mayweather Jr: The NFL Was Wrong For Indefinitely Suspending Ray Rice

(AllHipHop News) Birds of a feather flock together and the same may be true for domestic violence offenders. During a press conference at the MGM Grand, Floyd Mayweather Jr addressed the Ray Rice assault video and claims the NFL overreacted in its punishment.

Prior to the NFL’s indefinite suspension of Ray Rice following the September 8th leak of footage of him assaulting his wife in a Revel hotel elevator, the company levied a mere 2-game suspension. A month later, NFL Commissioner Roger Gooddell stated he “did not get it right” and altered the domestic abuse violation punishments to 6-game suspension for first time offenders and a lifetime ban for second time offenders. Mayweather felt the NFL should have stuck to its original 2-game suspension and overreacted to the new footage:

I think there’s a lot worse things that go on in other people’s households, also. It’s just not caught on video, if that’s safe to say.

Mayweather Jr took a plea deal in 2012 after spending two months in a Las Vegas jail stemming from domestic abuse charges he incurred after his ex-girlfriend alleged he physically assaulted her in front of their children. Last week, Mayweather Jr’s former fiance, Shantel Jackson formally filed a lawsuit against Mayweather Jr, alleging he assaulted her and held her at gun point. According to Mayweather, the lack of photographic evidence is enough to prove his innocence:

Like I’ve said in the past, no bumps, no bruises, no nothing. With O.J. and Nicole, you seen pictures. With Chris Brown and Rihanna, you seen pictures. With (Chad) Ochocinco and Evelyn, you seen pictures. You guys have yet to see any pictures of a battered woman, a woman who says she was kicked and beaten (by Mayweather). So I just live my life and try to stay positive, and try to become a better person each and every day.

Mayweather Jr also intimated that he may retire after his next two fights in order “to build the Mayweather Promotions brand.”

Hip-Hop Rumors: Tahiry In A Fashion Week Fight?

I heard this one last night, but just got around to it tonight. I heard that my boo boo Tahiry got into some fight yesterday night during a fashion week event. I don’t know exactly what sparked the fracas, but I heard she got it in. They word on the street is that Tahiry got into it with some gay man at a fashion show event in Harlem. People have said that the dude that fought her might actually have to go to jail. The whole incident played out backstage at a show. That’s about the extent of my understanding of what happened.

No word on if she won the fight or not. I’m thinking she did.

Remember when Consequence slapped Joe Budden and Tahiry came to the rescue!? I do.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Soulja Boy Backs Out Of Fight With Gillie Da Kid?

YO! Remember this?

RELATED:Hip-Hop Rumors: Soulja Boy Says He’s Definitely Gonna Kill Gillie Da Kid!

Seems like Gillie took things a step farther and challenged the young boy to a physical fight in the ring. Its looked like it was going down, but KnockoutNation is reporting that SB caused a wrinkle in the plan.

Gillie Da Kid and Soulja Boy had a pretty petty beef as all the stuff that was going down during the uprising in Ferguson. Nobody much paid attention to be honest. That didn’t stop Soulja Boy from publicly threatening to kill Gillie. Well, Gillie apparently took it to the old school and challenged SB to a fight. In the ring. Well, it didn’t happen. According to sources close to the situation, Soulja Boy “backed out” of a celebrity rumble. What is funny is that Gillie was being trained by Floyd Mayweather, Sr. Why SB didn’t want to duke it out with some older rapper is unclear, but it may have something to do with a right and a left.
