Yo! This is where rumors get all messed up. Over the weekend there was a crazy rumor that Juelz Santana got knocked out! I was like, “Wow! How the hell did that happen. Juelz is cool.” Come to realize there was a fight at the Barclays Center over the weekend too. And there was a fighter by the name of Edgar Santana fighting. Well, guess what? The source of the rumor was a female from Harlem and she unintentionally said Santana got knocked out. Well, the boxer indeed got laid out, but Juelz Santana is good money, as far as I am concerned. I hope he ain’t p#####!

I don’t know if this is true, but I think it is. I will tell you why. There is a rumor on the street that Nick Cannon and Mariah are finished – DONE. Recently, Nick did an interview and he was asked that status of his situation with his wife. He responded “No Comment.” This is strange, because he always comments. He even had Mariah in his stand up comedy show recently. He’s super busy. I don’t know for sure, but her last album pretty much flopped. Nevertheless, these rumors have been persistent. I heard a real life rumor that Nick has already moved all the way on from Mariah. Certain people I know have informed me that they have seen Nick fully vested in another woman. I never posted this because I’m definitely the Rumor Dude with some scruples! With all the reports that are going around, I wish these guys well.

(AllHipHop News) There isn’t a shortage of paper and pens but writing lyrics could be a thing of the past. In our EXCLUSIVE interview, Snootie Wild explains why he does not write lyrics and why he
Jay Z, Common, Lil Wayne and tons of other rappers have admitted to not writing lyrics for a variety of reasons. Some do not write as to save time by freestyling the song, but according to Snootie Wild, he does not write due to him being honest:
My motto is ‘if you got to write it you lying.’ If you ain’t lying then you have to think too hard on something to cover up the truth. What I spit is facts and when you freestyling you can’t hold back truth. It’s going to slip up.
Wild admits that he “freestyled ‘Yayo’ in a car” and recorded the song in 30 minutes.
As a teenager, Snootie Wild played basketball until he was stabbed in the leg at 17 years old. Snootie says the end of his basketball aspirations led to his disinterest in the NBA:
I was young when that happened. About 16, 17. Due to the point I kind of cared about it so much that I kind of made myself not be interested in it. It came to the point now where I don’t watch basketball too much anymore.
Check out PART TWO of Snootie Wild’s EXCLUSIVE interview with AllHipHop below:
(AllHipHop News) Ab-Soul is complex but he is not oblivious to criticism. In a recent interview he addressed criticism over his album These Days…, lessons he learned from Jay Electronica and more.
Earlier this year, Jay Electronica and Ab-Soul developed a friendship through Twitter and in February, Soul informed MTV that Electronica was his “spiritual advisor”. During his interview with HipHopDX, Ab-Soul shares one of the lessons from Electronica:
I’ll tell you a message from Jay Electronica. He said, “People like us, we have to go through extensive training in order to be conditioned for what we have to do.” So, I say that to say, enjoy the hurdles, enjoy the hardships, enjoy the struggle because these are the things in a real weird, weird, creepy way. These are the things that we admire most about the people that we admire most—the people that overcome the most. Music is a very successful tool in doing that, in turning a frown upside down.
One of the criticisms of Ab-Soul’s These Days… album is a noticable lack of overt deep messages in exchange for more commercially viable sounding music. Soul admits to know of the criticism but explains how this album compares with his prior album Control System:
I mean like how was it not Control System Part 2 either? I came off on my first song, I said, “Blame God, don’t blame her / All I did was take gangsters to church / Got your lady with literature in her Louis bag / Got your kids studying outside of class / Every project that I drop, she bought ‘em / So now she reads more than she red bottom.” How is that not Control? That’s the first song. What are they talking about? I probably said “third eye” on the album 10 times at least.
Soul recorded the majority of his album in Mac Miller’s home studio in California, with Miller producing the Danny Brown-assisted “Ride Slow”. Miller has achieved considerable commercial success in his young career and Ab-Soul says he tested how down to Earth he still was:
I had to test him. I’m like, “Man, I just need you, just say, “N*gga.” Just say, “N*gga” on this record.” He’s like, “I can’t do it, Soul. I can’t do it.” I’m like, “OK, you’re still on the ground.” So even with all of these influences, he knows his boundaries as well. As an artist and as a person, he’s not gonna disrespect anybody. He knows his limitations as well, which is cool.

(AllHipHop News) Lil Kim’s return to verbally assaulting Nicki Minaj on records has opened the door to discuss the longstanding feud between the two female rappers. Billboard spoke with T.I. about the beef, and the Hustle Gang boss believes all the talk about Nicki “taking Kim’s spot” or being the “Queen of Rap” has added fuel to the fire.

“Just because you heard another person say that you gonna be on edge,” said T.I. “I feel like that’s more of the case with Kim and Nicki, even though I don’t know what started any of this, it’s a little more complicated to put to bed because of that fact.”
Tip also added the constant comparisons between Kim and Nicki would “put a chip on your shoulder in a different way too.” He was then asked about the rumored beef between Minaj and his close collaborator Iggy Azalea.
“That’s a little more preposterous,” he stated. “Like ‘what the f**k’ because they’re not even in each other’s lane.”
Nicki’s speech at the this year’s BET Awards sparked reports that she was sending subliminal shots at Iggy. While accepting the trophy for Best Female Hip Hop Artist, Nicki said, “When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it.”
Those words were perceived to be directed at Azalea who some have questioned whether she writes her own bars. Nicki late denied she was addressing Iggy with her speech, and Iggy brushed off the controversy as well.
On the other hand, Iggy and Kim have been very supportive of each other publicly. Tip even hints to Billboard a Lil Kim/Iggy Azalea collaboration could be happening in the future.

(AllHipHop News) Epic Records artist Bobby Shmurda cleared up rumors surrounding the beat for his buzzing street single “Hot N***a” originally belonging to Lloyd Banks. During an interview with Jenny Boom Boom, Shmurda revealed the track’s producer, Jahlil Beats, told him Banks never purchased the track.

“Really, he never bought the beat. Jahlil called me and told me he never bought the beat and I snatched it up,” said Shmurda. “I guess he never put it out. He put it out but, I don’t know.”
The beat that eventually became “Hot N***a” was also the beat for Bank’s “Jackpot.” That version was released in 2012.
Shmurda also talked about a few of his personal favorite rappers, and the 20-year-old performer named Jay Z and Jadakiss as the best lyricists.
While Shmurda showed love to some of NYC’s Hip Hop legends, the Brooklyn native has received some blowback from listeners and other rappers for what they feel is his sound too closely resembling styles from other regions.
When asked about his music being compared to Chicago’s Drill Music, Bobby responded, “They gonna say that cause we both young, and we doing – I’m not gonna say the same thing, but kinda like the same thing. We’re doing stuff similar. It’s kids over there having the same type of problems we having over here.”

(AllHipHop News) According to reports, anger over the deadly police shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown has gone from peaceful protests, social media hashtags, and candlelight vigils to looting and vandalism. Brown, who was unarmed, was shot and killed by a police officer in Ferguson, Missouri on Saturday.
Brown and another man were stopped by the cop. Authorities claim Brown then got into a struggle inside a police vehicle with the officer over his firearm. Police say Brown was shot once inside the vehicle and then multiple times in the street.
However, witnesses of the incident say that Brown was shot as he held his hands in the air signifying that he was not resisting. The officer has been put on leave of absence pending an investigation.
Members of the Ferguson community demanded justice for Brown’s killing. Several nonviolent demonstrations sprouted up throughout the city, but some residents have turned to looting and destruction of property.
The unrest reportedly spread to neighboring towns. Heavily armed law enforcement personnel has been sent to the area.
Brown’s mother, Lesley McSpadden, has reportedly condemned the rioting stating the looting is disrespecting the memory of her son. The recent high school graduate was set to attend Vatterott College this fall.

In an era where gentrification is running wild, I don’t know what to think of this one. You know, Whites moving into Black neighborhoods and taking them over is all the rage these days! But, some people created an app to counter this nighty movement. SketchFactor is apparently an app that will appear in the iTunes app store and will help White folk avoid “sketchy” areas. The crazy thing is that the company that created it is located in Manhattan! I’m thinking that this is not going to work since what is going on in NYC is the opposite! I am thinking this is one racist-a$$ app though! I’m not even going to talk about it anymore. I want White people to accidentally move into Lefrack City or QueensBridge on accident so they can really get a taste of the bass! Enoy! Get at me, dun!
Spike Lee ain’t gonna like this one.
