Tyler, the Creator to Will.i.am: You’re A Mark, I’ll Be Better Than You

(AllHipHop News) Tyler, the Creator either really hates most famous people or he’s resurrecting Eminem anti-everything schtick from the early 2000s. Either way, Will.i.am is apparently someone Tyler has a serious gripe with as he went on a lengthy diatribe about the Black Eyed Peas frontman on his personal Twitter account.

According to Tyler’s tweets, the two met backstage at Kanye West’s Yeezus tour stop at Staples Center in Los Angeles and will.I.Am gave him some disparaging advice:

But no Tyler, the Creator rant would be complete without some sort of name-calling:

Will.i.am has not yet responded.

(AllHipHop News) After numerous African Americans accused Barneys and Macy’s of racial profiling, will these corporate giants get oversight or simply an overview? New York Attorney General sent Macy’s East’s Chief Store Peter Sasche a letter detailing what information is needed from him to complete the investigation. That includes information on anti-discrimination policies as of October 1st, 2013,  customer complaints of racial discrimination over the past year and more.  Barneys Chief Executive Mark Lee is set to meet with Al Sharpton at the headquarters of Sharpton’s  civil rights group, National Action Network in Harlem on Tuesday (November 5th).

Macy’s history with customers accusing them of racial profiling spans further than 2013. According to the Attorney General, Macy’s paid $600,000 to settle similar racial profiling cases in 2005 after accusations of its New York stores profiling Black and Latinos. Other provisions of that settlement included establishing a new Security Monitor position, develop regulations on handcuffing and keep a database of records of all detentions that occur in the store.

Kanye West To Appear In Jared Leto’s “City of Angels” Short Film (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West opens up about his love-hate relationship with his adopted home of Los Angeles in Jared Leto and 30 Seconds To Mars’ short film City of Angels. In the piece West talks about how L.A. gave him greatest joy, but also took away his closest confidant.

“I remember liking it when I was first out there, but I also did lose my mother to that city,” says West. “And that’s the weird thing because I feel like this city took my mother, but this city also gave me my child.”

Ye also mentions other trappings of Hollywood like the paparazzi and the city’s great artistic contributions. The documentary was directed by actor/singer Leto (aka Bartholomew Cubbins). It is scheduled to debut today on Vevo.

EXCLUSIVE: Love & Hip-Hop Star Stevie J. Accused Of Owing Millions In Child Support

(AllHipHop News) “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” reality star Stevie J. allegedly owes $1.2 million in unpaid child support to two of his children with his former girlfriend.

Reps for former music industry executive Carol Bennett confirmed to AllHipHop.com that Stevie J.’s assets are being targeted.

Bennett, who helped Stevie J. with his music career while he was a producer at Bad Boy Records, will host a press conference later this week to address the matter.

There, she is expected to reveal more details into what is being labeled as a “historical child support case.”

In fact, Ms. Bennett contacted Bounty Alert and the Custodial Support Foundation, organizations that specialize in recovering hidden assets from people who deliberately neglect their child support duties.

Bounty Alert and the Custodial Support Foundation will attempt to recover the back child support, and will investigate any companies that may be shielding Stevie J.’s wealth.

“Our preliminary investigative efforts in Ms. Bennett’s case and have uncovered information which raises huge concerns,” Tiffany Stewart Esq., President of the Custodial Support Foundation, told AllHipHop.com in a statement.

Reps for Ms. Bennett stated that under the 1992 Child Support Recovery Act, it is a crime to leave a state owing more than $10,000 in unpaid child support, for more than two years.

According to Ms. Bennett, Stevie J. could be sent to prison, since he owed more than 20 times that amount when he left New York, for Georgia, where he currently is the star of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta.”

The press conference relating to Stevie J.’s back child support will be held October 31 at 11:30AM, at 1 Little West 12th Street (Corner of 9th & Hudson) in the 2nd Floor conference room.

Hip-Hip Rumors: Did Kendrick Lamar Give His Life To God?

Now you know that Kendrick Lamar has a lot of religious references on his now classic album, GKMC (or whatever the abbreviation is). So, he’s got a predisposition. I’ve been told that Kendrick Lamar got saved on the New York date of the Yeezus tour (or somewhere on the tour). It seems that he’s been heavily influenced or affected or something by a religious figure in his life. And like that, he’s “saved.” But, thats a great thing! He’s basically giving himself to the Lord.

Now, I wonder how this will change his music!

The Game also got saved a few years ago and we haven’t seen a huge, dramatic change so that makes me wonder what we’ll see from his Compton little brother.

What do you think?

(AllHipHop News) Laughter is the best medicine and it’s also a great way to show frustration. Last night, Ab-Soul and Joey Bada$$ were arrested in St. Louis late last night (October 28th).

While there is no official word on the reason for the arrest as of yet, it is rumored to be marijuana-related. The two MCs were in St. Louis last night in preparation for tonight’s show as apart of their Smokers’ Club Tour.

Eminem’s Early Stopping Ground The “Hip Hop Shop” To Reopen In Detroit

(AllHipHop News) Much of the business oriented news coming out of Detroit the last few years has been more negative than positive, but one former local institution is set to reopen its doors in the Motor City.

The owners of the iconic Hip Hop Shop, the site where Eminem, D12, and many of Detroit’s underground emcees began to put in their 10,000 hours of mastery, is planning to relaunch the venue/store in the coming months.

Jerome Mongo and Maurice Malone opened the Hip Hop Shop on Detroit’s 7th Mile in 1993 and hosted Saturday open mic rap battles until its closing in 1998. This time around they plan to upgrade the location for a 21st century feel which may include extreme sports activities and visual art.

“It will be a whole different vibe,” said Mongo. “It’s going to be totally different clothing. The scene isn’t going to be recreated. It’s going to be totally different – totally different.”

The 90’s version of the Hip Hop Shop was the inspiration for the battle rap scenes in Eminem’s semi-autobiographical film 8 Mile. The movie even depicted the main character’s close friend, played by Mekhi Phifer, as the host of the events at the locale. Em’s real-life right-hand-man, the late Proof, actually served as the master of ceremonies for the Hip Hop Shop’s Saturday rap battles.

A location for the new Hip Hop Shop has not been finalized yet, but the areas of Cass Corridor or Eastern Market are being considered.

Apparently L.A. investigators contacted DC police about the matter and will give a report to the presiding judge in Brown’s previous assault case. If it is determined that Brown did violate the conditions of his probation the singer could still face up to four years in jail.

Brown is currently on five years probation after accepting a plea deal in the 2009 assault of his then girlfriend Rihanna.

Kanye West Wants To Be 2Pac Of Fashion; No Longer Promoting Louis Vuitton

(AllHipHop News) The man who use to describe himself as the “Louis Vuitton Don” says he no longer has any interest in being associated with the luxury brand. While speaking at Power 106’s Big Boy Neighborhood, Kanye West further expounds on his issues with high fashion including why he will not work for LV again.

“If I had the opportunity to design for Louis Vuitton now I wouldn’t, because the prices are just too extreme,” said Kanye. “I don’t want to use my message to have kids saving up that much to be a part of what the ideas are. That’s the problem to me with luxury.”

Kanye has expressed in the past his desire to break into fashion as a serious designer, but according to the Chicago artist he cannot get the backing from industry insiders to make it happen. He claims once that does occur he will be the GOAT of fashion like he considers 2Pac the GOAT of Hip Hop.

“I would say more like Tupac is the best rapper of all time. I tell you one thing in clothing, as soon as I get it, I’m going to be Tupac of this. I will be Tupac of this,” said Ye.
