The NAACP and KKK Hold First Meeting Together In History, KKK Member Joins NAACP

(AllHipHop News) Martin Luther King Jr’s dream is slowly manifesting in to reality. Representatives of the Wyoming chapter of the NAACP and the KKK met this past Saturday (August 31st) to discuss race relations and allegations of racist literature from the KKK being distributed.

Jimmy Simmons, president of the Casper NAACP, and John Abarr, a KKK organizer addressed claims that the KKK have been attacking Black men and disseminating racist literature in the state of Wyoming. Abarr appeared oblivious to these claims and Gillette police Lt. Chuck Deaton stated that no racially charged attacks on Black men have been reported in the last five years.

While the meeting was historic in the precedent it set, critics and Abarr himself question the effectiveness of the meeting to the Associated Press:

I don’t know if we accomplished too much. We’re not about violence. We’re about being proud to be white.

Mark Potok, a senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center told the Associated Press the meeting was “outrageous and counterproductive” as he believes it “gives legitimacy to the Klan as an organization you can talk to.”

The meeting may not have been entirely successful but an interesting twist appeared as KKK organizer Abarr paid $50 to apply for membership at the NAACP. However, do not expect any of the NAACP to be joining the KKK anytime soon according to Abarr:

You have to be white to join the Klan.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Lamar Odom Crack Budget, Justin Beebz An N-Word, Lebron's Toes

WE HAVE A PROBLEM.

JUSTIN BEIBER USES THE N-WORD IN SONG

First Miley becomes the Queen of Twerking and now this? This Beebz has been down with Lil Twist for a minute so I guess that makes him cool enough to use the word n***a. This actually happens about 1:30 in the song.

“She wants me to be her n***a,” Beeb says. In the grand perspective of life, this is clearly nothing, but…who does dude think he is? Also, will the minions of post racial millennials stand up and say anything? so, America’s golden boy lusts over a girl that wants him to be her n-word? How does he plan to pull that off? And what rapper will say its, “OK” for Justin to say it and who wrote it for him?

Y’all tell me that.

HOLY $H!T!!!!

This dude is a straight up Crackhead in the year 2013 WITH MONEY! I knew he had a drug problem, but I just cannot fathom that somebody of his stature would have an addiction to crack. Anyway, the word on the street is that Lamar Odom spent upwards of $50k per month on drugs. And, in one single sitting he spent $16,000 says radaronline.

WHAT THE HELL?

Pause. This is a picture of Lebron’s toes. Wow and Gotdamn. I know we dudes don’t care about our feet but, these are mutant toes.

R. Kelly Throws Shots At R&B Competition On U.O.E.N.O (Remix)

These R&B ni**as vegetarians, man they don’t want beef.

R. Kelly is no stranger to two things: confrontation and trends. As the latest to lay vocals over Rocko’s ubiquitous “U.O.E.N.O”, the 25 year R&B veteran sent a blanket diss to his R&B competition.

The subliminal shot comes as a surprise as R. Kelly denounced R&B beef in an interview with MTV a few months ago (July 31st):

You don’t want R&B to get into beef. Leave that to the rappers. Let them do that. Let R&B be classy. That’s for the ladies, and having the babies and having fun.

Kellz is prepping the release of his 11th solo studio album, Black Panties which he said he recorded 250 songs for and features Alicia Keys. The album is slated for a December 2013 release.

"The Trials Of Muhammad Ali" Director Bill Siegel Talks About His New Documentary

(AllHipHop News) Filmmaker Bill Siegel (Hoop Dreams) wants to keep the important legacy of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali alive. Siegel’s new documentary The Trials Of Muhammad Ali takes an intimate look at “The Greatest Of All Time” including his connection to the Nation of Islam and his refusal to fight in Vietnam.

Life and Times interviewed Siegel to discuss why he chose to cover Ali and some of the people he interviewed for the movie like Minister Louis Farrakhan, his then-wife Khalilah Camacho-Ali, and his brother Rahman Ali.

I really wanted to limit the number of interviewees to an intimate group of people who were there: eyewitness, firsthand story tellers who were with Ali; his brother, his wife at the time… Those people’s stories and perspectives hadn’t been included in most Ali treatments, and certainly not collectively the way they are in this film.

According to Siegel, this was the first time Farrakhan had ever done an interview talking about Ali. The sit-down lasted an hour. The Nation of Islam ended up playing a significant role in the film. Siegel feels that the NOI has been treated as a “footnote” in history, but calls them “remarkable” and wanted to explore their world view.

He expresses a similar opinion about Ali as regards to his place in history beyond his athletic accomplishments.

I think that [particular] Muhammad Ali, over time, has become increasingly forgotten, overlooked or undiscovered by generations coming of age now. If I could do anything to help rectify that and bring the righteous, humane, incredible beyond-the-ring back to the consciousness, I wanted to do that. That’s why I made the film.

Hov With The Assist: Jay Z Is Reportedly Selling Brooklyn Nets Share To Jason Kidd

(AllHipHop News) In a move that both satisfies a contractual obligation and symbolizes the passing of the torch, Jay Z is reportedly selling his share in the Brooklyn Nets to its new head coach, Jason Kidd.

InsideHoops reported that, Mr. Carter sold his .067 percent stake in the team for about $500,000.

Jay Z more than likely  did not sell his stake to make a quick half mill but to comply with the NBA stipulation that an owner of an NBA team can not also represent players. Jay Z started his sports agency, Roc Nation and has already signed the second best basketball player in the NBA in Kevin Durant along with New York Yankees All Star second baseman Robinson Cano.

Jason Kidd also spent seven accomplished years with the New Jersey Nets from 2001 to 200, reaching the NBA Finals in 2002 and 2003.

Police: Guns And Drugs Found On 2Chainz Tour Bus

(AllHipHop News) Things just got realer for rapper 2Chainz, as police alleged that they found firearms and drugs on a tour bus that was impounded two weeks ago in Oklahoma City.

Official documents charge that the vehicle turned up two semi-automatic pistols, a 12-gauge pump shotgun, marijuana and prescription painkillers. A report from TMZ said that the rapper’s bus was pulled over because of a broken tail light but quickly authorities alleged they smelled marijuana.

As previously reported, 2Chainz refused to let the police on board and was subsequently arrested, along with others. The rapper tweeted about it as well, “This sh*t will make u go crazy, our bus gets pulled 1 a week and they always say I smell weed I need to search ur bus. Sh* gets tiring.”

Two weeks later, the police also say they found marijuana paraphernalia like grinders, pipes, rolling papers as well as Hydrocodone and Flexeril, a semi-auto Sig Sauer SP2340 pistol, a Mossberg model 500 12-gauge pump-action shotgun, and a semi-auto Glock pistol.

In an interview with Peter Bailey on NBC’s “NiteCap,” the rapper pleaded his case without incriminating himself.

“It takes up a lot of time and money from taxpayers who are the actually entertainers. At the end of the day we’re supposed to be kind of on the same team. I’m not a bad guy. I’m only in town to entertain people. Once they know I’m not trying to excite riots. I’m not trying to be disrespectful. I’m only trying to feed my family and entertain.”

2Chainz has not commented on the latest allegations.
