Lil Boosie Associate Pleads Guilty To Threatening D.A.; Faces Five Years In Prison

(AllHipHop News) An associate of rapper Lil Boosie has pleaded guilty to making threats against the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney, during the rapper’s murder trial in May of 2011.

The 22-year-old, named Dedrick Deandre Green, will be sentenced on June 21, according to the Times-Picayune.

An investigation into Green began last May, when he posted a message on his Twitter page threatening District Attorney Hillar Moore III.

“I got a sniper rifle for Hillar Moore when he walk out the courthouse.” Green tweeted last May, in addition to threatening to shoot the “court house up.”

The threat came during the same time that a Lil Boosie song titled “F**k ‘Em All,” was released, which also contain threats against District Attorney Moore.

Lil Boosie was acquitted of first-degree murder charges in May of 2011.

The rapper was accused of paying a 16-year-old named “Marlo” Michael Louding to shoot and a man named Terry Boyd for $2800.

Green, who claimed he was just “playing a round,” is slated to be sentenced on June 21, for public intimidation.

He faces five years in prison.

Here is some good news for people that held on to their pink, oversized hats, various crew references to terror groups and the love of “Pause.” Dipset is working on a reunion album! I am not sure of the origin of the rumor, but I believe it to be an interview with Juelz. He’s working on music and said that the whole crew is coming back shortly.

This rumor comes on the heels that its possible that the whole crew may have some reality show presence in the near future. That would not include Freekey! Hoping that he’s a part of the comeback, because he’s hilarious! He’s the ODB of the Dips! Anyway, there’s also some talk of a clothing deal with Marc Ecko. That’s cool too.

Artists Sampled For Bauuer’s “Harlem Shake” Want Compensation From Diplo

(AllHipHop News) No matter if it’s on planes, in NBA locker rooms or underwater, Bauuer’s “Harlem Shake” song has sent people into frenzies once the words “do the Harlem Shake.”

Ten months, a Diplo endorsement and  #1 Billboard Top 100 debut later, the artists sampled in “Harlem Shake” have emerged requesting compensation.

Former reggaeton performer Hector Delgado and rapper Jayson Musson claim Bauuer sampled parts of their music without their permission.

The song opens with Delgado singing the lyrics “con los terroristas” from his 2006 single “Malades.” The ubiquitous “do the Harlem Shake” phrase originates from the song “Miller Time” by Musson’s former rap group, Plastic Little.

Bauuer told The Daily Beast last month that he found the sample online.

Delgado’s music publisher, Machete Music and Musson are negotiating monetary compensation with Diplo’s Mad Decent label, which released the Harlem Shake song in May of 2012. According to Musson, negotiations are going smoothly.

Bauuer’s “Harlem Shake” song was the first song to ever debut atop the Billboard Hot 100 from an artist who had no previous chart history.

This precedent was due largely to the revamped Billboard charts which now includes YouTube streaming data. As of today (March 11th) the Mad Decent YouTube channel’s link of “Harlem Shake” has amassed over 11 million views.

Detroit Mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick, Guilty of RICO

(AllHipHop News) Former Detroit Mayor, Kwame Kilpatrick, once dubbed “The Hip-Hop Mayor,” was convicted today of 24 out of 30 federal counts of corruption.

With what is being called a “classic RICO case,” Kilpatrick has been found to have been conducting a criminal enterprise during his tenure as mayor of Detroit from 2001 to 2008.

According to The Detroit Free Press, witnesses told of Kilpatrick’s lavish lifestyle — complete with luxury vacations, custom-made suits and golf outings.

After five months of testimony, 80 government witnesses, text messages and secret video and voice recordings, the jury convicted Kilpatrick on 24 of 30 counts. It acquitted him on three counts and failed to reach a verdict on three others.

The newspaper also stated that the former mayor shook his head as the verdict was being read and appeared stunned. Also convicted was Kilpatrick’s friend, a contractor named Bobby Ferguson and the former mayor’s father, Bernard Kilpatrick.

Kwame Kilpatrick was elected mayor of Detroit in 2001 with the support of numerous Hip-Hop artists.

Russell Simmons dubbed the-then 31-year-old, “The Hip-Hop Mayor” due to his youth and charisma. The title proved to be, at times, to be a hinderance. The former mayor was often derided for his diamond stud earring and his “two-way pager.”

Kilpatrick’s legal troubles began while in office for his second term when, in 2008, he pled guilty to obstruction of justice and publicly declared that he had lied under oath in a whistleblower trial brought by two ousted former police officers.

The federal charges were brought against Kilpatrick and others after a long-term FBI investigation revealed with the government called a “pattern of extortion, bribery, and fraud,” resulting from the rigging of city contracts and the mismanagement of the publicly-funded Kilpatrick Civic Fund, which was supposed to help youth.

Yet to be sentenced, the now-disgraced former mayor faces up to 20 years in prison.

I don’t know if anybody will care about this, but its out there. Apparently, when Lil Kim was a young, tender thing in the game, she did some pretty risqué stuff, including posing nude. Anybody that’s seen this classic gem knows that Kim’s been on the wild side for a minute.

Son, that pic is classic!

Oh, in case you didn’t already know, that was supposed to be her original album cover, but it just was too much. The pum pum had them going crazy.

Nevertheless, there is some photographer out there that owns those naked pics and it shopping them to various outlets. Hopefully somebody buys them so we can all see. I’m not buying, because I have no money to purchase. Rumor has it, the dude tried to sell them to Kim and she didn’t either.

Jay-Z is the master of relevance! And he’s on the way back, I’m hearing. Now, this should come as no surprise. But, with his success with Kanye and other ventures, its almost like he never left. But that BP3 album was actually quite a while ago in Hip-Hop dog years. From what I have been hearing, Jay is using this tour with Justin Timberlake to set up the new album. I would have expected him to drop it before a major tour but Jay knows what Jay is doing. As for the music, I heard Jay is talking greasy again! I guess he can afford to do that, since he’s still on the court as a starter. Lots of new bucks coming in the game. Apparently, he’s recorded with one of them already. I’ll tip that off to you in a bit, but its great news. Hip-Hop Lives! All sorts of colorful flavorings going on.

Producer Noah “40” Shebib Participates In Multiple Sclerosis PSA

(AllHipHop News) Superstar producer Noah “40” Shebib has crafted huge hits for Drake, Alicia Keys, DJ Khalid, and A$AP Rocky, and now the Canadian hit maker is lending his celebrity to a worthy cause.

40 will join Meredith Vieira and Richard Cohen in helping the National Multiple Sclerosis Society raise awareness about the disease during MS Awareness Week which runs from March 11-17 this year.

Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disease where a person’s own immune system attacks their central nervous system, and the nerve cell connections between the body and the brain are damaged. Symptoms of MS vary from numbness in the limbs to paralysis or loss of vision depending on the individual. MS affects over 2 million people around the world, and there is currently no cure for the disease.

The NMSS’s public awareness campaign, “MS Kills Connection >   < Connection Kills MS,” will be presented on three mega-electronic billboards in Times Square, New York City. The ads will feature people, like 40, who are living with MS. 40 was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the age of 22.

“It started with sensory issues. I woke up one day and all the temperature in my body was distorted. My sense of hot and cold and what that meant to my brain was very confusing,” said 40 in a 2012 interview with CNN. “I think one of the biggest struggles people with MS face is trying to define it to people and explain how it manifests itself.  It’s very difficult, you know.”

The National MS Society hopes their new public awareness campaign and other activities during MS Awareness Week will help educate the public about what people with multiple sclerosis face, how those effected with disease can connect to each other, and eventually assist researchers discover a treatment that will end MS.

Hip-Hop Rumors: 40 Glocc’s Breakdown, $4.5 Million Suit To Game

This ain’t no rumor!

40 Glocc is going full steam ahead in his lawsuit agains fellow Cali rapper and arch enemy The Game. Welp! TMZ has found what seems to be the break down in the 4.5 million suit. Remember, 40 alleges that The Game beat him down on camera and they had a gun on him too. This, he says, resulted in bills and loss of wages.

— $500,000 in pain and suffering
— $500,000 in emotional distress
— $750,000 in lost earnings
— $2 million for punitive damages
— $25,000 in medical expenses
— Various other stuff
