(AllHipHop News) The Smokers Club has been hitting the road for the last few years and this year has proven to be one of its most successful, pairing Taylor Gang’s own Juicy J and Chevy Woods as the headlining acts. And, adding Harlem rapper Smoke DZA into the equation has shown to be a wise choice for crowds during the tour.
As both Taylor Gang member continue to work on their upcoming group album, Smoke DZA is enjoying his time on the Billboard charts, with the recently released Rugby Thompson project produced by rising sensation, Harry Fraud.
Chief Keef and the Glory Boyz were also guest performers on the Smokers Club bill, as Keef stopped in Miami recently to work on music and features.

(AllHipHop News) Legendary Hip-Hop group Run-DMC performed their first show together in over 10 years today (September 2) in Philadelphia.
A variety of acts hit the stage today in Philadelphia during final day of the Budweiser “Made In America” Festival.
Tens of thousands of people crowded onto the Ben Franklin Parkway in Philadelphia, where acts like Santigold, Eve, and Jill Scott performed during a muggy day marked by showers.
But the highlight of the event thus far was the reunification of Run-DMC, who hit the stage around 5:30PM.
The group, backed ran through popular songs from their catalog like “Rock Box”, “It’s Like That”, “It’s Tricky”, “Peter Piper”, and others.
“Damn, I ain’t did this in so long, but it feels so damn right,” Rev Run said before the group launched into the songs “Here We Go,” “Beats to The Rhymes,”
The late DJ Jam Master Jay’s sons, Jason Mizell Jr. and TJ Mizell, took over the Run-DMC set to showcase their DJ skills, which impressed the crowd.
“Some years back, my DJ got assassinated when he was still in the ‘hood. Me and D broke the group up without Jay. He was everything to us. We put a silence on the group,” said Rev Run from the stage. “Jam Master Jay opened up a DJ school and both of his kids are here. They both DJs. They are serious DJs.”
Odd Future will perform later in the evening, while Drake and Pearl Jam are slated to close out the Budweiser “Made In America” Festival late tonight.
(AllHipHop News) After announcing the official tracklist for his G.O.O.D. Music compilation just yesterday, Kanye West took to Twitter to ponder the vocabulary used in Hip-Hop as well as his recent song inspired by Kim Kardashian called “Perfect B*tch.”
West has also used the word ‘b*tch’ before on the Watch The Throne album for the song, “That’s My B*tch.”
Contemplating vocabulary that is acceptable and unacceptable, West tweeted:
“I usually never tweet questions but I struggle with this so here goes… Is the word B*TCH acceptable?
“To be more specific, is it acceptable for a man to call a woman a b#### even if it’s endearing…
“Has hip hop conditioned us to accept this word? Do we love this word as much as we love the word N*GGA in an endearing way?”
With regards to how radio filters profanity, he wondered what it would be like they allowed cursing on American radio.
“What if there was no profanity… What if we decided to legalise profanity in a sense? In France they play songs with cursing on the radio.
“Excuse my French but I’m in France…
“I was recently questioned about the use of the word B*TCH in my music and initially was offended by anyone questioning anything in my music…
“I will admit that I sometimes go back an omit cursing from my records. I like to use profanity as a tool and not a crutch. I’m not tweeting to say what we need and what we don’t… I just wanted to think out loud with you guys today…”
AllHipHop.com’s resident Daily Word guru and all-around inspirational guy, Ash Cash, is back with his latest installment of “Ask Ash Cash.”
Greetings and Salutations, my Great People!! Welcome to another addition of Ask Ash Cash, where we go in the streets and answer all of your finance and business questions. Remember you can send your video questions to [email protected] or via Twitter (@IamAshCash – use #AskAshCash).
Today’s questions come from musician Brian Melo and his wife. The first question is “why should you save money?” and secondly, “how can you save money?”
The answer to “Why should you save money?” is very simple… Think about the future! Those who fail to plan also plan to fail. Saving money is important so that you can be prepared for any of the emergencies and obstacles that life may throw in your way. It is also important to save because, at some point after working so hard, you are going to have to retire. You want to make sure that when you retire, you have money saved so that you can continue to live the lifestyle you want to live. Lastly, you want to have money available to make some of the big purchases, like a down payment on a house or buying a car, etc.
To the question of “How to save money,” I say treat yourself like the IRS. When you work a 9-5, the IRS automatically takes whatever your tax rate is out of your paycheck before you see it. You have to treat yourself this way, so every time you get paid, make sure you put aside 10% of your money into an account. The best and most effective way to develop this habit is to make it as painless as possible. There is a saying – “out of sight, out of mind” – if you make it automatic and make it invisible, you will create the habit without it even disrupting your day to day life.
If you receive money via direct deposit, take out your savings before you receive it – you’ll never know it’s missing. If you receive income in the form of a check, then have automatic deductions come out of your bank account on a monthly basis.
In order to avoid the temptation of using the funds for everyday purchases, you should open a separate bank account at an institution other than the one you keep your primary account in. I suggest a high interest savings account at a bank like ING Direct or FNBO Direct. Because these banks have little or no physical branches, it limits the access to your account, making it easier for you to save, while receiving a reasonable interest rate.

(AllHipHop News) Founding members of Hip-Hop group State Property reunited with Jay-Z at the Budweiser Made In America Festival yesterday (September 1).
State Property is a group that was once headed by rapper Beanie Sigel.
But the group’s relationship with the Jay-Z soured, during his dispute with Beanie Sigel.
Freeway discussed the arrest with AllHipHop.com prior to the group’s performance at the Made In America Festival.
“It’s definitely unfortunate,” Freeway told all hip-hop.com. “I was just on the phone with his wife. It’s looking crazy, but Inshallah, he will get through it. It’s hard on me, it’s hard on his family, but he’s got good people out here who support him.”
During the Made In America performance, Freeway hit the stage with former label mates Young Chris, Neef, Memphis Bleek and Jay-Z, who also brought out artists on the G.O.O.D. Music during his set.
Pusha-T, Kanye West, Common, Big Sean, Swizz Beatz, 2 Chainz all hit the stage during Jay’s headlining set.
Today (August 2), Drake is supposed to hit the stage, along with the highly extirpated reunion of Run-DMC.
Damnit! I had this all written in stone. You KNOW THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!!! Beanie and Jay-Z were supposed to kill their long-running beef on this day at Made In America. But, it was not to be. Beanie Sigel sits somewhere in jail. Damnit! Jay-Z had a whole set devoted to Philly and they said Beans name and all that. He was definitely supposed to be there. No, he is in jail and nobody bailed him out if he was able to be bailed out.
It was just brought to my attention, Beanie was arrested on the way to jail on the tax charges. He couldn’t have gotten bailed out. SMH. At least Freeway got up there and showed there were no hard feelings when Freeway got on the stage at the press conference back in May. LOL!
Nah, it was all love!
Rick Ross and the MMG set.
I didn’t see the Made In America set with Rick Ross and the boys, but I heard a few things. I heard it was a mess backstage that there there were a lot of people trying to get back there. It was so chaotic that the reportedly stopped letting people in altogether. This managed to cause massive problems, I heard. Some fights broke out and others just left. overall, at that point in time, I was informed it was very chaotic and folks left p#####.
Kanye West and G.O.O.D. Music Broke YouTube?
Well, if you didn’t know, AllHipHop linked to the Made In America live stream. And, while there were some resolution issues, it was pretty smooth the whole time Jay-Z was on stage. But, when Kanye and the posse came on, the issues started. YouTube didn’t have enough bandwidth to handle the surge in traffic. The live stream basically crawled to a halt when Big Sean, 2Chainz, Pusha-T, Kanye and them got up there. That’s a good sign for Cruel Summer, which will actually be released in the fall. The stream did come back though. So, all wasn’t lost – it was still off and on. 90,000 people on one stream is probably going to slow things up.
By the way, there were plenty of cameo appearances. Why didn’t Chief Keef perform HIS song when Kanye and the crew did the remix? You think Yeezy was p##### at Keef’s comments that Kanye ain’t do nothing for him?
(AllHipHop News) G.O.O.D music’s tracklist for Cruel Summer has finally been revealed on Tower record’s and HMV Japan’s websites. Besides features from the current roster of artist at G.O.O.D music, the 12-track album also features some frequent collaborators like Jay-Z and DJ Khaled, as well as some new but veteran collaborators like R. Kelly and Ma$e.
The album, which will be released September 18, has been shrouded in secrecy by G.O.O.D music leader Kanye West, according various artists on the label, including rapper Pusha T and in-house producer Hit-boy.
“I feel like the same way I felt when I knew I had some sh*t coming out on Watch The Throne is the way I feel about Cruel Summer. I got a record on there that’s probably going to change my life again,” said Hit-boy on “Sway In the Morning” when he was asked about the upcoming album. “After a while you know it’s a secrecy. It’s not a real speech. N*gga let you know don’t say sh*t.”

Raised in Plainview, Texas, Universal Records signee Charlie B was told many times that he wouldn’t amount to anything by people from his hometown. Worse yet, at the age of 16 after his mother passed away from a stroke, and with his father not around, Charlie B was basically an orphan. Moving on from his loss took great courage and strength, and as he then channeled the trauma of losing his mother to do better for the world through music, Charlie quickly found himself in the favors of Universal Music.
In fact, Charlie B was so affected by his mother’s loss, that it inspired him to team up with A Caring Hand Foundation based in New York City, an organization that provides education and assistance therapy to children who have lost a parent. In doing so, all proceeds from his EP will be donated to this charity, as every individual on the Dreams Come True EP, including Bad Boy Records artist Los and production team The Presidentz, has experienced a devastating loss of a parent as a youth.
Take a look at AllHipHop.com’s sit down with Charlie B, someone who not only has gone through a great deal of struggle to get to this point, but also someone who is truly on the verge of making his Dreams Come True:
AllHipHop.com: Tell me about the Dreams Come True project and what it means to you.
Charlie B: The Dreams Come True project came from me wanting to help kids who were like me and lost a loved one. This project means a lot to me; it’s helped a lot of fans and supporters believe in themselves and their dreams. This project means the world to me. Hopefully, if it can expand to the world, I can give the world the true meaning of inspiration and what happens when you don’t give up on your dreams.
AllHipHop.com: Briefly explain how your childhood shaped a few of these records on the album.
Charlie B: My childhood was a lonely one, I didn’t have many friends and I didn’t hangout with a lot of people. At the age of 16, I lost my mom to a massive heart attack and stroke, and I was always the smart kid in school without the best fashion – just a brain and ambition to want to be somebody. So I mainly focused on dancing in a mirror that I had in my house, and just trying to figure my life out. I came from a small town that didn’t give me too many options, so I had to choose the right path. The “You Told Me” record explains all the things my mom told me when she was still living and around, because it’s the last thing she said to me before she passed away. “Made It” was inspired through everyone back home in Plainview, Texas, and even in my current city, Dallas, Texas, who told me I couldn’t do it.
Charlie B “Dreams Come True” EP/Introduction Album Teaser
AllHipHop.com: What will it take to reach your dreams?
Charlie B: First and foremost, God, then my fans, my team with Calvin Collin Management Group, my family, and really just my faith.
AllHipHop.com: How is it growing up in the Texas market from an R&B standpoint?
Charlie B: It’s pretty cool. I’ve seen and heard of most of the talent. Kind of ready now to be outside of Texas though and expanding to new markets.
AllHipHop.com: Talk to me about the creative process of recording “Dreams” for Universal.
Charlie B: I wrote each record off that EP in three days. The recording process was really fun, because it always excites me to get in the recording booth and make new songs. The Dreams Come True recording process was a fun recording process, but the best part about it was after when I got to be a part of mixing the records.
AllHipHop.com: How did the Los track come about?
Charlie B: Well, my management got in contact with his team. unfortunately he lost his dad so he clicked with the song and concept, and we just made it happen.
Charlie B feat. Los – “Make You Proud”
AllHipHop.com: Any other potential features coming up?
Charlie B: At this moment, none, but I see a few in the near future, can’t say just yet.
AllHipHop.com: What music videos have been planned for this effort?
Charlie B: “Make You Proud” so far, and we are letting the fans determine what my next single and music video will be. I have a lot of fans that like to comment, so it’s a good way to gauge their interest.
AllHipHop.com: What tour dates and or shows have your team set up thus far?
Charlie B: As of now, the focus is expanding and finding the markets where I have the most fans and dominating that market. Tour dates will be coming soon, and I can’t wait.
AllHipHop.com: Explain your role in charitable organizations that support at risk youth and orphans, and how that impacts your music.
Charlie B: It brings the energy and inspirational lyrics out of me; as a ghostwriter, I can write almost any type of song, no matter the genre, but inspiring music that gives orphans and kids at youth centers hope is the music I love to make the most. It’s nothing I have to force; it just comes out. My life story had left me in a dark place without having much hope when I was a kid, so I don’t want them to have to experience that. And if they do experience it, I want them to be able to look through my music and find their favorite song that helps them feel like anything is possible.
