EXCLUSIVE: Pusha T Says New Solo Album On the Way; “The Wrath of Caine” Mixtape Coming Soon

(AllHipHop News) Virginia rapper/G.O.O.D. Music artist Pusha T recently divulged information regarding his upcoming mixtape, The Wrath of Caine and the yet to be named solo album, which will release later in the first quarter of this year.

As of late, Pusha T has been actively dropping visuals and featured verses on G.O.O.D. music projects, but he has been doing so without No Malice, formerly Malice, and one half of the famed rap duo The Clipse, who recently re-devoted himself to God.

“I got my solo album coming out the first quarter, like the end of the first quarter. I think everybody has been hearing me as of late – plenty features, mixtape verses. To me, its like a new beginning. Really different without my brother. I gotta drive. I gotta drive for this game. I do it for what we [have] done musically. Some of the losses, I feel like we’ve taken with family. Its like, man, I want my people to see me get through this. And I want them to be happy about the noise I’m making out here,” Pusha T explained to AllHipHop.com in an exclusive interview.

Pusha T was likely eluding to the 32 year sentence that his former manager Anthony “‘Geezy”” Gonzalez is serving in a federal prison after pleading guilty to running a $20 million dollar drug conspiracy.

“It was eight people. It was more than just my manager. Man, my friends been my friends for 15-20 years. If it was any less than that, we grew as close as my friends that I’ve known 15-20 years,” Pusha T explained. “So, I talk to, not all of them. I stay in touch with all their families. Going on, man, can be tough at times.”

Prosecutor’s’ indictment stated that Gonzalez ran a drug empire that had moved a half-ton of cocaine and over a ton of marijuana through Hampton Roads, Virginia, from at least 2003 until 2008.

The former nightclub owner is alleged to have received his drugs from Panama, Florida, California, and Arizona

Representing for his incarcerated family in the best way he knows, Pusha T plans to deliver The Wrath of Caine mixtape to the streets prior to the release of his full length solo effort.

“Look out for my new music, man. ‘The Wrath of Caine.’ ‘The Wrath of Caine’ mixtape dropping. It’s the wrath of caine,’ meaning cocaine. But its street, man. Mixtapes are where you get the uncompromised, 100% music. It’s just a really good outlet for me. And I feel like I’m speaking to my core more than anybody else. I feel like subconsciously, when you are making an album, if not yourself – everybody else around you and labels…there are certain things they are looking for, like radio. I think we’ve seen a lot of mixtapes in the last year better than albums,” Pusha T told AllHipHop.com of the project.

And while many fans are still waiting for a reunion from The Clipse, when asked if No Malice would make the album, Pusha T explained, “I don’t know yet. I haven’t necessarily found that record. He’s very capable of. He called me the other day with a record he wants me to be on.”

Until then, check the visuals that Pusha T dropped just before the New Year for his song “Blocka” feat Popcaan and Travis Scott.

DEBATE: Should Meek Mill Respond To Cassidy?

Cassidy slipped in a diss to Meek (“Me, Myself and iPhone) and then Meek  responded in a song (“Repo”) that he proclaimed would be his last. But, then Cassidy upped the ante with “R.A.I.D.,” a song that the internets considered to be “ether.” Now, the rap world speculates whether or not Meek should respond to Cassidy’s 10 minute condemnation. Clearly, Cass has a and he’s even taken no-so-minuscule shots at Rick Ross and MMG. In a viral video, Elliot Wilson of RapRadar argued that Meek should NOT respond to Cassidy, who is seemingly trying to his career back to his former gold glory. I saw Elliot’s video and had to counter on twitter. This is Hip-Hop and that Cassidy diss is not something that can be ignored – not by an emcee. Imagine Nas trying to ignore “The Takeover” or LL trying to ignore Canibus “2nd Round Knockout.” Once upon a time, Jay-Z used to dispose of just about every lil’ New York rapper that said a slick word. Clearly, this isn’t remotely close to those battles, but its definitely piqued the interest of the fans. BUT I REPEAT: THIS IS HIP-HOP. At the root, Hip-Hop is a gladiator sport. Lets get it on! Check out YN’s video below, join the debate and take the poll.

Cassidy – “Me, Myself and iPhone”

Meek Mill – “Repo”

Michael Vick’s Foundation Raises Money, He Looks Forward to Next NFL Season

On Monday night, NFL Quarterback Michael Vick and his “Team Vick Foundation” gathered at the Tashan Restaurant on 777 South Broad Street for a “Charity Cocktail Party” to raise awareness and money to benefit people in need. Supporters in attendance included John Dorenbos from the Eagles, NFL athlete Raheem Brock, Mike Jerrick and Shenielle Jones from FOX, Miss Pennsylvania Jordyn Colao, Film Producer Charlie Mack and many others.

The Philly event was structured around the #7: Michael Vick’s jersey number, the starting time of 7pm, the date of January 7th, and the location (777). The jackpot came in the form of extraordinary items auctioned off for a great cause. “The Team Vick Foundation represents who I am by giving back to the community and creating as many activities I can to inspire our youth,” Vick expressed to AllHipHop.com. “We must give them insight and share our time and our experiences with the youth so we don’t lose them.”

While Vick’s organization raised thousands of dollars last evening, the 2012 NFL season was as fruitful to Vick. The Philadelphia Eagles finished at the bottom of the NFC East with a 4-12 record. Vick played in 10 of those games, winning 3. And Andy Reid, the man who took a chance on Michael, was fired then hired by the Kansas City Chiefs in the span of 7 days. However, Michael is extremely optimistic about his future with the Eagles. And he didn’t back down from his stance following the end of regular season, claiming a few of his teammates checked out on him. “I feel that my best quality on the field is being a dual threat at any time, any moment in the game,” said Vick. “Next season, it’s all about having the best supporting cast around me to give our team the best opportunity to succeed, without all the pressure being on me. I feel I deserve that.”

Django Dolls: Genius or GTFOH?

(AllHipHop News) Have you ever wanted a slave doll as a kid? What about a slave master doll?

Quentin Tarantino thinks you do.

Django has grossed over $100 million since opening Christmas Day. It’s even earned several Golden Globe nominations. Now the companies behind the film want doll replicas of the main characters to whup some ass in the toy market.

Last fall, the National Entertainment Collectibles Association, Inc. (NECA), in tandem with the Weinstein Company, announced a full line of consumer products based on characters from the movie. First up are pose-able eight-inch action figures with tailored clothing, weaponry, and accessories in the likeness of characters played by Foxx, Kerry Washington, Samuel L. Jackson, Leonardo DiCaprio, James Remar and Christoph Waltz. The dolls are currently on sale via Amazon.com.

A press release announcing the deal stated that the line was similar to the retro toy lines that helped define the licensed action-figure market in the 1970s and that the collection will include a full apparel and accessories line. At the time of the announcement, NECA president Joel Weinshanker said the company was “very excited to bring the stellar cast of Django to life and honored to be working with another Tarantino masterpiece.” [The Daily Beast]

ILLSEED’S QUICKIES….

Rumors are swirling around that Jay and Beyonce are looking to have their second child already. But they are thinking about having a surrogate mother to hold the lil bambino if they do, reports say. I’m not sure that they would do that, but what do I know? Sounds like a PR nightmare to me, to be real.

So Rihanna, Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran are a threesome. Chris is tapping both of them and they are both cool with it? Wow.

Oprah will be doing an interview with DMX like she did with 50 Cent a few months ago. Hopefully she makes X cry for good ratings. By the way, her ratings are apparently way up.

Hip-Hop Rumors: What MMG Rapper IS Chillin’ With A G-Unit Rapper?

Well, if one beef doesn’t quite work out, make another one work out. It seems like even though 50 Cent and Rick Ross don’t get along, that doesn’t mean the under bosses cannot be cool. Lloyd Banks, Trav and Meek Mill were seen recently chilling on a couple of different occasions. This also included members of each’s crew, so there was no animosity at all. From what I understand, some of the people in the pic are rap dudes that have wanted to be artists with 50 Cent since day one and just never got that opportunity to shine so they are looking elsewhere for the pot of gold. I even was told some of them are down with Dipset now. You gotta feed the wolves, man!
