Hip-Hop Rumors: 50 Cent Apologizes to Interscope?!

This dude has more WTF moments that any rapper that has ever lived!  50 Cent went on a super emotional Twitter rant last week, where among other things, he blamed his record label for leaking his new records.

Well, last night, 50 got some news that proved what the label was telling him all along, that a “computer glitch” was responsible for the leaks.  I guess 50 was satisfied with the labels proof and issued an apology over Twitter. Check it out below:

“Discovered a computer glitch leaked my song. Sorry to team at interscope for over reacting!”

“I put a lot in to this project but I don’t care if it ever comes out. Jimmy iovine has been like a mentor for me. I just want to stay friends.”

“I just want to stay friends!?”  Come on, 50 Cent, what happened to the tough guy who single-handedly exiled people like Ja Rule from the game?!  5o hasn’t been the same since he lost his battle with Rick Ross. Dude has gotten soft on us.

Daily Word: Stop Talking!!!

Happy Monday, my blessed and highly favored!

Welcome to the second week of the best year of your life! Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to taking action! So, it’s officially time to stop saying Happy New Year!! It’s officially time to stop saying what you’re going to do and how much this year is your year!

As the classic Redman song says….. “It’s time for some action!” We have the tendency to continue to talk when it’s time to put in the work…. Yes, we are excited! Yes, we still have enthusiasm! But we must be careful that we don’t talk ourselves out of achieving our goals! There’s a time for everything!! Now is the time to make it happen!

Resolutions are a great conversation starter, but we are nine days in, so it is not the time to be conversing! It is time to put the pedal to the metal and begin turning dreams into reality! One step at a time is good walking! But you will never win if you never begin! Stop Talking!! Get to work and do what MUST be done to get where you’re SUPPOSED to be!!! Your time is NOW!! Nothing can stop YOU except YOU!!! NO EXCUSES….ONLY RESULTS!! -Ash’Cash

“Be content to act, and leave the talking to others.” -Baltasar Gracian

“After all is said and done, a lot more will have been said than done. Don’t become a victim.” -Unknown

“Well done is better than well said.” -Benjamin Franklin

“Ironically, making a statement with words is the least effective method.” -Grey Livingston

“Trust only movement. Life happens at the level of events, not words.” -Alfred Adler

“An idea not coupled with action will never get any bigger than the brain cell it occupied.” -Arnold Glasow

“Action is the last resource of those who know not how to dream.” -Oscar Wilde

“Remember, people will judge you by your actions, not your intentions. You may have a heart of gold – but so does a hard-boiled egg.” -Unknown

***BONUS*** “If your work speaks for itself, don’t interrupt.” -Henry J. Kaiser

Hip-Hop Rumors: Common Opens A Lil Can Of Ether On Drake

COMMON GOES DIRECTLY AT DRAKE

Now, when “Stay Schemin’” dropped with Rick Ross and Drake, I didn’t say anything. I saw the subliminal from Drake towards Common and decided to let  it slide. Who wants to be a part of a silly beef. But, on the inside, I wanted to see what would come from it. Well, here it is. Common has responded to Drake saying ““Don’t be duckin’ like you never wanted nothin’/ It’s feelin’ like rap changed it was a time it was rugged/ Back when if a n—a reached it was for the weapon/ Nowadays n—as reach just to sell their record.”  Hit the pic to hear the exclusive, s/o MTV RapFix:

Common is back. I guess Drake never heard “The B***h In Yoo.”

Guess he didn’t like Drizzy saying “gods acting like broads,” but Common made it pretty clear he wants no part of a crew beef. He doesn’t really have a crew.

Mixtape Review: Rick Ross’ “Rich Forever”

Rating: 8/10

After delaying his forthcoming album, God Forgives, I Don’t, due to health issues, Rick Ross has kicked off 2012 with the release of his heavily anticipated new mixtape, Rich Forever. However, the 19-track mixtape feels like more an album due to the high quality production and multitude of top-notch guest appearances, the likes of Drake, Nas, Wale, Meek Mill, and John Legend, among others.

An early standout is the title track, “Rich Forever,” featuring John Legend. Ross takes a more serious approach on the song, rapping over piano and dramatic strings about his come-up in the game (“Def Jam on my heels, should I sign to it? / Million dollar advance for me to rhyme fluent”) before changing it up as the drums come in and sharing the motto (“You only live once, I’m screaming YOLO in the VI”). John Legend does the song justice on the chorus by making it very clear that he and Ross plan on living the title of the song to the fullest.

The very next song, “Triple Beam Dreams,” begins with a spectacular verse from Nas, in which he raps about growing up with dreams of getting rich and being inspired by what he saw (“I remember watching Scarface the first time / Look at that big house, that Porsche paid for by crime”). This track keeps the serious tone of “Rich Forever” over an airy synth and drums, as Ross and Nas rap about formerly being poor and hustlin’ their way to the top. Ross proves his point on the hook shouting out the Miami Heat president, Pat Riley (“Early 90s reminiscing when I had a pager / Triple beam dreams, now Pat Riley my neighbor”).

Drake and French Montana join Rozay on “Stay Schemin’”, where Drake blesses us with a lengthy verse potentially firing back at Common with his opening line (“It bothers me when the gods/ get to acting like the broads”). Throughout the verse, Drake ends up outshining both Ross and French Montana with on this track, making reference to Kobe’s divorce (“B*tch you wasn’t me with me shooting in the gym!”) and letting it be known that his OVO crew is unpredictable (“Might look light, but we heavy though / You think Drake will pull some sh*t like that? You never know!”).

Overall, Rich Forever is good enough to be an album, which ends up raising the bar as well as fan expectations for Ross’s delayed and much-anticipated upcoming LP. The entire process of releasing the Rich Forever tape generated a huge amount of buzz for the album as Ross had likely planned. Now, all he has to do is fulfill even higher expectations on God Forgives, I Don’t and continue to lead the way for his Maybach Music Group in 2012.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is This The First Picture of Baby Blue Ivy Carter!?

I have not been quite up on the internet or Twitter, but I did get some stuff just a few moments ago. I guess the question that I have would be “Is it real.” No, I don’t mean Kim Kardashian’s butt! I mean, this picture of Beyonce and a baby picture that is floating online as the FIRST and only pic of Baby Ivy! Or is that Baby Blue? I’m going to just call her Baby Carter! I tend to think that this is Solange’s son or something honestly, but until we know, this is the rumor.

Peep it!

Beyonce looks young and very thin in the pic. And it looks old with low megapixels. LOL.

PETA Goes After Dr. Dre Over Furry Headphones

(AllHipHop News) Hit producer/mogul Dr. Dre is in hot water with PETA over a new limited edition run of Beats by Dre headphones.

Dre, born Andre Young, has teamed with Oscar De La Renta to release a limited-edition line of Beats by Dre earmuff headphones, that are wrapped in fox fur.

Earlier in the week Michelle Cho, a representative for PETA, fired off a letter to Dr. Dre urging him to respect animal rights.

“We wanted to get in touch to urge you to keep fur and exotic-animal skins out of your Beats by Dre designs,” Michelle Cho wrote. “Foxes, minks, rabbits, and other animals—including cats and dogs—are bludgeoned, genitally electrocuted, strangled with wire nooses, drowned, and even skinned alive for their pelts.”

Cho explained to Dr. Dre that most animals are killed for their fur in China, because there are no penalties for animal abuse want for farms.

Cho also provided Dr. Dre with a video featuring Eva Mendes, to educate himself on animal abuse.

Cho urged Dr. Dre to use his influence around the world to make a positive difference in the lives animals.

“You have a tremendous amount of influence on young people,” Cho continued. “Won’t you please consider using your platform to advocate kindness toward animals by pledging never to design with real fur and exotic skins?”

Dr. Dre’s Beats by Dre fox fur earmuff headphones retail for $695.

Hip-Hop Rumors: The Funny and Unfunny Photoshop Pics Of Blue Ivy Carter

If the internet hasn’t collapsed yet, it is certain that the limits of its capacity to transfer information have been put to the ultimate test.

Jay-Z and Beyonce’s baby has been born. Blue Ivy Carter has everybody talking, tweeting, and posting on this fine day. Congratulations to the First Family of Hip-Hop. People are talking and twitter topics like “NamesBetterThanIvyBlue” and “Illuminati’s Very Youngest” are trending like crazy.

As is always the case with these sorts of epic moments, there is a comic underbelly to such a wondrous occasion! PHOTOSHOP!

Since no images have been released from the intensely private Jayonce, the internets decided to take matters into their own hands.

Peep some of the funniest (and not so funny) images of what Lil Carter looks like.

Why does this image look like a bad Wayans movie?

Why does this kid look so evil!?

Funnnnnnny!

We think somebody just wanted their daughter to get some face time on google.

WOW.This one is a bit too suggestive for me.

Somebody had some serious hate to create this last one. CONGRATS, JAY AND BEYONCE!
