Signs The World Is Coming To An End: 67-Year-Old Man Dies Receiving Lap Dances

Some people would say, if you gotta go, this is the way to do it!

Sixty seven-year-old Gene White was found unresponsive at a Texas strip club Friday night after receiving several lap dances. Police believe the man may have had a heart attack while being entertained at the Red Parrot strip club. According to the strip club owner, workers tried their best to perform CPR on the customer but it didn’t work, and he was pronounced dead. So far, there are no signs of foul play in the man’s death, but it’s currently being investigated.

Non Hip-Hop Rumor: Raven Symone Addresses Being Pulled “Out Of The Closet”

Talented actress Raven Symone, who is best know for playing Olivia on “The Cosby Show”, has allegedly started shacking up with another woman according to The National Enquirer. Her alleged girlfriend is AzMarie Livingston, a former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant.

The gossip rag has spilled the beans that Raven, who is in New York City playing the lead in “Sister Act” on Broadway, has been living with AzMarie in a condo in Manhattan. Rumor has it that Raven’s parents are furious that she has decided to lead a lesbian lifestyle.

Raven was initially mum on the rumors, but has now taken to Twitter to address the chatter. Check out what she wrote below:

“I’m living my PERSONAL life the way I’m happiest. I’m not one, in my 25 year career to disclose who I’m dating. and I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I’m datings to know. I’m not one for a public display of my life. However that is my right as a HUMAN BEing whether straight or gay. To tell or not to tell. As long as I’m not harming anyone. I am a light being made from love. And my career is the only thing I would like to put on display, not my personal life. Kisses!”

Back in the day, Raven was a pretty good rapper – she even released a few albums executive produced by Missy Elliot. Man, I wonder why so many female rappers are rumored to play for the same team?

Anyway, check out the single Raven put out back in the day written, produced and featuring Missy Elliot:

Hip-Hop Rumors: Will Smith Smacks Male Reporter For Trying To Kiss Him!

Actor and rapper Will Smith was doing the red carpet at the Moscow premiere of Men In Black, when a male entertainment reporter tried to kiss him on the mouth. The guy is a comedic reporter, and kissing celebrities on the mouth is his thing.

Well, Will was having none of that, and when the reporter’s lips brushed against his, Will pushed the guy away then lightly smacked him across the face. Will also said that the reporter was, “lucky I didn’t sucker punch him.”

The good people over at TMZ have two different camera angles of the smack. Check out the video of the attempted kiss and smack here.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Is Kanye West Playing Kim Kardashian For A Fool?

Kanye West is seemingly the man of the hour for being the last dude that was passed Kim Kardashian.

But, does Kanye have a master plan?

Now, I thought he was more or less being treated like a fool and a pawn to boost ratings of that reality show she has.

Well, I am hearing something far more sinister may be at work. I am hearing that Kanye West is basically playing Kim Kardashian. Apparently, Kanye is going to hit it and then basically use her for the massive publicity he can get from it. Lastly, he’s going to record a song or something to discuss the whole thing. I find that interesting that he’s apparently shared this with many in his immediate circle. Clearly there is a leak should this rumor be true.

Kim isn’t the most well-liked chick, but Kanye may be overstepping if he thinks America will side with him over the Armenian thicky.

Non Hip-Hop Rumors: Did Sept. 11 “Dust” Kill Donna Summer?

DID SEPT. 11 DUST KILL THE QUEEN OF DISCO?

September 11 is many things depending on your point of view. No need to get all up in the conspiracy theories.

But, apparently, the Queen of Disco, Donna Summer felt very strongly that the residue from Sept. 11 was the reason she succumbed to cancer.

According to a number of reports, she lived down near Ground Zero when the planes hit and the towers fell. She told many people close to her that the chemicals and the dust infected her with the now-fatal cancer that we hate. This is not inconceivable.

According to TMZ, Donna became nearly fanatical about it and would spray disinfectant and hand sheets wherever dust was present.

She said to another outlet, “I was really freaked out by the horrific experiences of that day. I couldn’t go out, I didn’t want to talk to anybody. I had to keep the blinds down and stay in my bedroom. I went to church and light came back into my soul. That heaviness was gone.”

She also said that she had a vision that terrorists would attack America. She thought this was some attack on Christianity, not an inside gig or an attack on America’s financial system as others have theorized.

“My husband and I were walking down the street. I had this feeling. I said, ‘Honey, I feel like terrorism, high on top of the buildings. I knew something was going to happen. When it did, I flipped out.”

About 1,000 people have died from 9/11 Dust and 350 of them are from cancer. I think the numbers have to be higher than that.

Mixtape Review: Lecrae’s “Church Clothes”

Rating: 8/10

“I am so authentic, I’m so off in it /
They try to figure me out, but it’s not a gimmick /
Hi Hip-Hop, don’t act like you don’t know me /
We got the same mama! Don’t you try to disown me…”

As the Don Cannon and Lecrae collaboration begins, Lecrae addresses how critics try to categorize what he does by placing all of his songs, lyrics, and content-related material into a “box”. It’s a reaction for some to categorize or stereotype music when explaining it to others, and it’s easier to do when you realize the content is Christian in almost every aspect. Although it’s easier to simply box his music, so much is missed if you only take that assumption to be the finalizing word. Lecrae’s a great rapper with strong beliefs, and both of those dimensions battle for supremacy in Church Clothes.

The most impressive thing about Church Clothes is its ability to focus on the Christian values without coming off as preachy, or even Bible-thumping. Lecrae speaks from his experiences and his convictions, and it’s ingrained within the lyrics. It’s evident in the Texas-inspired “Welcome To H-Town” (featuring Dre Murray and Reach Record labelmate Tedashii), which has Lecrae and company rhyming about their ties to the city in a way that would make DJ Screw proud. It’s on display alongside ex-Clipse member No Malice, as they rhyme about their beliefs on “Darkest Hour” (although the hook’s cheesy in comparison to the rest of the project). It’s also showcased when addressing people of their self-worth on “Special” and “Rise”, with the latter being produced by 9th Wonder.

The production (which features the aforementioned 9th Wonder, Boi-1da, Street Symphony, and others) and overall presentation makes this feel as if it could be slid into a CD changer alongside other Don Cannon projects. However, the messages from Church Clothes ring with clarity and a determination that most rappers have to pay to achieve. There’s a sense of purpose in Lecrae’s lyrics, and refreshingly, his rhymes don’t ever take a back seat to the message; they instead coordinate rather well together, pun intended. With Church Clothes being topped off with most of the features delivering solid verses (Thisl, Tedashii, Andy Mineo, and more), it’s hard to categorize Lecrae as a Gospel rapper, when there seems to be much more to him than that generic label. It’s good music, and well worth the time if you’re interested in listening for yourself.

“I’m not a Gospel rapper, not a Holy Roller /
I’m just a product of Grace, spreading hope to the hopeless…”
