EPIC WIN OF THE DAY: Comedian Aziz Ansari HILARIOUSLY Reimagines Hip-Hop Album Covers

Comedian Aziz Ansari has gone through a rebranding of sorts and will now be known as Emceez Ansari. Well not exactly but that doesn’t sound like to bad of a name based on some of the monikers that artists go under nowadays.

For “his” first act Emceez has reimagined some of Hip-Hop’s most memorable and iconic album covers. And if you didn’t think they were memorable before, they sure are now.

Check out Aziz Emceez getting his A$AP Rocky, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent, Nas and Nicki on among others below:

Check out all of the pic’s on Emceez Ansari’s Tumblr which in fact isn’t directly associated with Aziz but with this much attention, they might as well be since Aziz’s reach in Hip-Hop has already seen the comedian and actor appear mix and mingle with a number of Hip-Hop’s elite.

Aziz was glimpsed in The Throne’s music video for “Otis” and a handful of his stand-up numbers include jokes about 50 Cent and Kanye West, one of which you can see below:

Keep em’ coming Emceez!

Miami Rapper Ice Berg Talks Possible Situation with Maybach Music Group

(AllHipHop News) Maybach Music Group is close to inking a deal with rising Miami rapper Ice Berg, who recently spoke with AllHipHop.com about his relationship with Rick Ross’ record label.

The negotiations come on the heels of Ice Berg’s latest mixtape “Strictly 4 The Streets Vol. 3.

“It was just a politicking move, shout out to Fat Boy Rozay (Rick Ross). Me and him had a relationship, he just reached out to give me some different light and exposure,” Ice Berg told AllHipHop.com. “He showed me New York, since I’ve never been up there. [He] shows me different things he knows, talks to me. It’s some gangsta s**t going on between me and him. He’s just reaching back and showing some love.”

Ice Berg hopes to join Rick Ross’ growing stable of artists, which includes Meek Mill, Wale, Triple C’s, Omarion, Maybach Dice, Stalley and others.

The possible deal comes at a high point in Rick Ross’ career.

The rapper’s fifth album, God Forgives, I Don’t, currently sits on top of the Billboard 200 Pop Charts. It’s also Rick Ross’ fourth #1 album.

Daily Word: Be Delusionally Optimistic!!

Peace and blessings, my warriors of light!

Welcome to the day that you admit there is something complete wrong with the way you think!
Today’s Daily Word is dedicated to being Delusionally Optimistic! If you look in the dictionary the word ‘delusion’ is defined as a belief held with strong conviction despite superior evidence to the contrary. When you look at the news, when you see what’s happening in the economy, when you look at what is happening in some of our lives, to stay optimistic, many people will deem this as delusional!

Despite that you must ALWAYS look at the bright side! I don’t care what is going on – your thoughts have been and will be the only way to change your circumstance! The more you concentrate on the negative, the more the negative will be in your life!

Change your thoughts you change your world! Life is about perspective! Half full is always the best way to go!! Contrary to popular belief you have the power at any moment to change your situation for the better! Take that power and make your life great!!
-Ash’Cash

“When the road ahead seems impossible, start the engine.” – Benny Bellamacina, Piddly Poems For Children Volume 1

“Be fanatically positive and militantly optimistic. If something is not to your liking, change your liking.” – Rick Steves

“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Keep your face to the sunshine and you cannot see a shadow.” – Helen Keller

“Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.” – Victor Hugo, Les Misérables

“Appreciate every little beautiful moment in every day of your life. Give it a try and you’ll see the world from another perspective.” – Thea Kristine May

“A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.” – Hugh Downs

“Being challenged in life is inevitable, being defeated is optional.” – Roger Crawford

Hip-Hop Rumors: Diss or Punchline? Is Drake Taking Shots At Chris Brown’s Record Sales?

Drake and his producer 40 are helming the new Aaliyah posthumous album, which not everyone is happy about – you can read more about that here. Drake is featured on the first single, “Enough Said”, and some of his lyrics can be taken as a diss towards Chris Brown’s record sales. So I have to ask, is this a diss or a punchline? Check out the lyrics Drake raps on the track below:

“Running through the city with n!**as I’d give a kidney/ Selling under 150 you n!**as got to be kidding/ Is this even still a discussion?/ Don’t you ever wake up disgusted?”

Chris Brown’s album Fortune, only sold about 134,000 copies. So, was Drake trying to subliminally come after Breezy? Speak on it!

Olympic Lessons: It’s About Much More Than Going For Gold

To watch the Olympics day in and day out, a particular event, or the highlights even, it’s pretty impossible to not be motivated. Here you have athletes of various ages, with different stories, from so many countries, living one dream. There’s so much the Olympics can teach anyone and, well, after they have gone off. A lot of life lessons lie in any type of competition, but this type especially.

So many people, young and old, Black and White, have been inspired by history-making Gabby Douglass, Michael Phelps with his final win, and others who have proven that they are indeed superior in their respective sports. It should serve as fuel to see others succeed. Whether it’s for the gold, a record deal, scholarship, or job, much like the 2012 games, everyone has to learn mental toughness. It’s as simple as what you think you get more of.

There’s no way a winner can win and be defeated in their mind. To succeed, the mind has to be right, and the gold, in anything you do, will follow. Of course, while aiming for the top spot there will be doubters. You’re too young, old, unskilled, but again, we see what determination and hard work can get you. Each team that wins does it together. The individual runners, gymnasts, and so on, have someone or some people helping them train, keeping them positive and focused. Your talents need a foundation, but never forget the talent you have now can let you down or be taken away. Making sure the team you have around you cares more about you than your abilities is vital, too. Those are some of valuable gems the Olympics have dropped.

There are also many teachable moments for the children who are watching: sportsmanship, perseverance, how to have pride in their country and, most importantly themselves. The 2012 Summer Olympics have a plethora of that. With so much nonsense on TV and the radio, children can now be exposed to young champions. They also see athletes who gave their all and don’t win, but they fought hard. That’s an important lesson anyone of any age has to learn, a few times at that.

Not only is the world witnessing countries coming together peacefully, there’s also a general consensus among fashion designers, celebrities, and world leaders, that the Olympics serve as much more than various events to watch. It’s easier to see the similarities in the world during this time. From taste in music, the need for support from loved ones, how to prepare for that once in a life time moment, to the will to see something through to the end. It’s as if the barriers that usually separate strangers around the globe seem to be down, even if it’s just for a little while.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Jay-Z Gives In To Rihanna; Beyonce Back To Work!?

The UK Sun apparently has some scoop that none of us knows. But they are saying that Jay-Z is finished with Rihanna. Peep the report.

A source revealed: “Jay-Z sees Rihanna like a daughter and has sent his right-hand man Jay [Brown] to Barbados to see what’s going on with her and Chris.

“She admitted they’re pretty much back on and Jay told her they’re all behind her and want her to be happy.

“Chris is even flying out to the island to see her soon. She knows that a load of her fans aren’t going to be happy about them hanging out though – people still haven’t forgiven him.”

Also, word on the street is that Beyonce is coming back! That doesn’t mean very much to me, but I am sure the ladies are going crazy.

Hip-Hop Rumors: Wiz Dips And Dodges Amber Rose Pregnancy Rumors

You know the rumors.

Amber Rose is pregnant, they say.

[Read: Amber Rose Is Really Preggers!]

Well, I have been told that she is definitely with child, but when asked Wiz Khalifah. the possible baby daddy, was particularly elusive. He told Hot 107.9 the following:

“I want babies. I definitely want to have kids for sure. Oh, you all think Amber’s pregnant? Cause I’ve been asked that: ‘Do you think Amber’s pregnant?’ I’m saying here that it is not what people think it is. But, she will have my baby in life, and you guys will know when she’s pregnant. But it’s not the time now for people to start going crazy.”

I don’t know that I trust this answer is totally truthful. I think she is pregnant and they are waiting for the right time to reveal. She’s still probably wild early in the process. Congrats! Anyway, Wiz continued to speak on being married even before he’s married.

“The married life, I feel like I’m already married. I read books and s— like that. Like there’s this book called ‘Things I Wish I’d Known Before [We] Got Married.’ That’s a good book ’cause it just tells you a lot about being selfless and really, really communicating. And know when you get upset, just talking about it and letting them know why you’re upset.”
