(AllHipHop News) In a sit down that many people never expected, 50 Cent and Oprah have connected for an introspective interview on a number of issues on her new show Oprah’s Next Chapter, on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
In the converstaion, the two have dialogue about rap culture, being a father, spirituality, 50’s life growing up, love, and even 50’s philosophy on death.
Despite his many violent run-ins with the streets, including being shot and having grown up in an environment of where his mother was murdered, 50 does not fear death and has found a way to come to terms with death itself.
“I’m not afraid of dying, I’ve accepted that I’m not in control. You know and I know that when the time comes, when you have that type of situation take place, or happens to you, and you dont have an answer, you go to the concept of your higher power. And they say there is a plan for you, and if you believe in it – I used to have a issues with the plan. When you getting ready to take off [on a plane],” 50 Cent said crossing himself as he traced the sign of the cross in the air.
“I only do it one time. I don’t – either pray or worry, dont do both. If you gonna sit there and say a prayer and then worry, then how does God feel about you? He knows you sitting there worrying.”
While the two had a nice conversation at 50’s grandmother’s house, in the past, the pair did not get along.
50 even named his dog after Oprah and it was widely believed that Oprah did not like rappers.
Rappers Ice Cube, Ludacris, 50 Cent and others chastised Oprah for supposedly turning a cold shoulder to Hip-Hop.
But many were mistaken as Oprah has fondness for several Hip-Hop songs.
“I listen to some hip-hop. You know, I’ve been accused of not liking Hip-Hop, and that’s just not true. I got a little 50 on my iPod. I really do. ‘Love In Da Club.’ – Love that, and you know, love Jay-Z, love Kanye, love Mary J,” told Ed Lover on New York’s Power 105 back in 2006.
The two-hour interview is broken down into two parts and debuts this upcoming Sunday (June 10th) at 9 p.m., EST, on the OWN cable network.

Last week, news broke that Jay Electronica was in the middle of a huge divorce between a powerful and filthy rich “illuminati couple,” Ben Goldsmith and Kate Rothschild. I thought you may get a quick little chuckle out of this rumor. Twenty years ago, Vanilla Ice was the original “white rapper” and made an unforgetable cameo in The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Part 2 in a scene that has become part of movie trivia history. Well, Vanilla or Ice or Rob Van Winkle, or whatever you want to call him, hinted during a recent interview with MTV, that he may be participating in the reboot for the movie.
If you were too young to remember the Ninja Turtles movie, the scene that includes Vanilla Ice birthed one of the chessiest fight anthems ever, but kids everywhere, including myself ate it up! In the scene, the turtles are battling the bad guys when their fight spills into a nightclub, where Vanilla Ice just happens to be performing. The Ice man improvises a rap song to prevent a panic by creating the impression that the fight is part of his act. And the Ninja Turtle anthem, “Go Ninja, Go Ninja Go” was created! (AllHipHop News) Memphis, Tennessee rapper Yo Gotti is the subject of a lawsuit that claims he stole his popular song “28 Bars.”
Eric Dion Flemming filed the lawsuit against Yo Gotti and his manager Brandon Cottrell, in United States District Court, for the Middle District of Tennessee, Nashville Division.
According to the lawsuit, which was filed on June 6, Flemming claims that he submitted a musical composition that was provided to an artist name Starlito, who is signed to Yo Gotti’s Inevitable Entertainment.
According to Flemming, Starlito provided a copy of the track to Yo Gotti, who used it for his track “28 Bars.”
The track was offered for sale through a variety of online music retailers, including iTunes, eMusic, CdBaby, Amazon, Spotify, Rhapsody, Datpiff and others.
The track also appeared on a variety of mixtapes, including “All Things White,” “DJ Scream Presents: Cocaine Muzik 3,” “On My Own, Yo Gotti – 5 Star General” and others.
Popular video producer Jordan Tower of Jordan Tower Films is also named in the lawsuit, for producing and directing a video for “28 Bars.”
Flemming said that he e-mailed Yo Gotti about the track, and Yo Gotti did not deny the infringement.
Dion Flemming is suing for copyright infringement and seeks a trial by jury, to determine damages.

(AllHipHop News) Def Jam recording artist and Odd Future member Frank Ocean has officially revealed a title and date for what many believe to be the singer’s Def Jam debut album, Channel Orange.
The singer released a video teaser on his Tumblr last night (June 7) that features what many believe to be a new song from Channel Orange and concludes with a date of July 17th.
If Channel Orange does turn out to be Ocean’s Def Jam debut, it will drop in what is becoming a crowded, but anticipated month for the label, who will also be releasing Nas’ tenth studio album Life Is Good on the same date.
Two weeks later, Rick Ross will be releasing his fifth album, God Forgives, I Don’t, on July 31st.
Despite his appearance on Odd Future’s March-released The O.F. Tape Vol. 2, Channel Orange will be the first full-length project from Frank Ocean, who is following-up last year’s critically acclaimed project, Nostalgia. ULTRA.
Frank Ocean, who was featured on two of Watch the Thrones’ tracks, is also said to have worked with Jay-Z at the tail-end of last year on the MC’s upcoming new solo album as well.

After reuniting to collaborate on two tracks together and then apparently having a falling out and sub-tweeting about each other on Twitter, Chris Brown and Rihanna came face to face at Hollywood nightclub, Greystone Manor. According to several sources inside the club, the two exchanged dirty looks all night and never interacted. Brown was there with his girlfriend, and Rihanna was at the club with her girls. We can all see that Kanye West is totally in love, or others may say infatuated, with Kim Kardashian, but would Yeezy let that infatuation affect his business? You bet he would! According to MediaTakeOut.com, a top-notch source has told them that Kim Kardashian has convinced Yeezy into hiring her mother, Kris Jenner, as his new manager.
Hold on one second. though. Is Yeezy really going to put his career in the hands of a reality show manager? He’s not that crazy — Jenner will allegedly be handling all of his non-music related business only.
The insider explained,”Kris [Jenner] is amazing in what she can get. If you’re a celeb, she can get you big money for tweeting, for sitting at fashion show, for doing interviews. . . It was an easy sell, Kanye was like ‘sure’.” But Kris Jenner will reportedly be handling more than just publicity and appearances for Kanye.
Kris will be helping Kanye get his DONDA fashion line distributed internationally at major retailers.
