THE RETURN OF HIP-HOP HONORS?
Have you thought of Hip-Hop Honors? I have. I have long thought and heard that Hip-Hip Honors was quietly phased out after it began to seemingly lose steam. But the series was one of the mainstream main stays that paid homage to Hip-Hop’s legends. Well, I have some rumors for you here. I am hearing rumors that they are now bringing Hip-Hop Honors back in the year 2012. Here is the catch. My sources are telling me that this indeed will be the LAST Hip-Hop Honors! So, for all you rappers that feel they deserve honoring…get Fab 5 Freddy and them on the line FAST!
Do you even remember Hip-Hop Honors?

Dipset rapper Juelz Santana was arrested earlier this week and hit with a charge for making terroristic threats.
TMZ.com reports that Juelz was busted earlier in the week for making unspecified threats.
When police attempted to search the rap star’s car, he refused and the vehicle was subsequently impounded.
Juelz was booked into jail and was released later on $46,500 bail.
This is not the first time Juelz Santana has been arrested for making threats against an individual.
His most recent arrest came in February of 2010, when the Bergen County gang task force raided his studio.
In that incident, police uncovered two 9mm handguns, as well as 17 small baggies of marijuana, after a ten-month investigation into alleged gang activity in the studio.
Juelz Santana and group member Jim Jones consider themselves Bloods, the largest and most notorious street gang in New Jersey.

No Limit Records Forever founder/rap mogul Master P. is planning a return to rap with the release of a new album titled TMZ – Too Many Zeros.
The news of the album comes three years after Master P announced a name change, in addition to a hiatus from the rapping side of the business.
Now, Master P. says he has adjusted to the digital age and new forms of marketing.
The rapper, born Percy Miller, is the leader of what many regard as one of the greatest independent rap label of all time, having sold over 75 million records worldwide, to date.
“I named this new record TMZ Too Many Zeros because it’s true when they say ‘more money… more problems’,” Master P. told AllHipHop.com. “I’m on my Donald Trump swag. I could lose it all and get it back in 72 days. Good or bad, when the media is on you that means you are still relevant.”
Looking to push the artists that he and his son Romeo have found, Master P has a number of new artists to introduce to the world.
Bengie B is the next artist that Master P. will introduce to the streets, while Miss Chee, T-Bo, Black Don, Eastwood’s T.E.C. and his latest signing, Catalina Toma, all add to the labels music.
In addition to announcing a new roster for his label, Master P. wants to make sure that fans are on the look out for the upcoming movie and the soundtrack for “Get Money,” which costars Gucci Mane.
TMZ Too Many Zeros is due in stores in early 2012.

This week marks the 38th Anniversary of the Universal Zulu Nation, as well as the commemoration of the 39th Anniversary of Hip-Hop. Celebratory events have been taking place throughout New York City since Wednesday, November 9 and will continue to occur until Sunday, November 13.
The Universal Zulu Nation is an international Hip-Hop awareness group formed and headed by Hip-Hop pioneer Afrika Bambaataa. Originally known simply as The Organization, it arose in the 1970s as reformed New York City gang members began to organize cultural events for youths, combining local dance and music movements into what would become known as the various elements of Hip-Hop culture. By the 1980s, Hip-Hop had spread globally, and the Zulu Nation has since established (autonomous) branches in Japan, France, the U.K., Australia, South Korea, and the Cape Flats in Cape Town, South Africa.
The Zulu Nation has undergone changes over the past decade. From the late 1980s, at the height of the Afrocentric movement in Hip-Hop (when artists such as KRS-One, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, the Native Tongue collective, and Rakim hit success), the movement seemed to be incorporating many doctrines from the Nation of Islam, the Nation of Gods and Earth, and the Nuwaubians. In the 2000s, however, its official Web site affirmed that the Zulu Nation has left the system of “believing” and instead adheres to “Factology versus Beliefs,” a philosophy and doctrine that can often be seen in, though is not always exclusive to, Nuwaubianism.
There are three major concert events taking place to mark the anniversaries at venues like Yotel NYC, La Poissen Rouge, and S.O.B.’s over the next three days. Confirmed artists include Q-Tip, Afrika Bambaataa, Keith Murray, 9th Wonder, The Cold Crush Brothers, Grandmaster Melle Mel, and many, many more! Texas rap legend Bun B, the remaining half of rap group UGK, found himself in a ‘hood liquor store in Brooklyn, New York, this week to pay tribute to his other half, the late rapper, Pimp C. With the rumble of the Brooklyn J Train above, the Pimp C celebration took form via a new Kidz In The Hall track and video called “Pour It Up,” also featuring Bun B and Mississippi rapper/producer David Banner.
For years, the dynamic duo of Bun B and Pimp C helped set a new course for the industry takeover by Southern Hip-Hop. And while Bun B still holds it down tremendously as a rapper, businessman, and even guest professor at Rice University, it’s not hard to see the distant look in his eyes when he talks about his MC partner’s passing on December 4, 2007.
AllHipHop.com visited the “Pour It Up” video set and asked Bun B for his reflections on another fallen rapper the world is missing right now – the incomparable Heavy D. Check out the video clip below:
