Hip-Hop Rumors: Mobb Deep Tag-Teamed Erica Mena? Says Her Rep No Bueno!
“LOVE AND HIP-HOP” – MOBB DEEP AGREES WITH KIMBELLA ON ERICA!
I’m just getting hip to this Erica chick. She’s on “Love and Hip-Hop.” From what I understand, she claims that a fight with Kimbella has ruined her reputation in the entertainment industry. She also alleges that she was misrepresented on the show as well. But, people inside the music game are abuzz that she’s never had such a great rep to begin with. It all starts with my boys from Mobb Deep. They aren’t actually my boys, but I’d like to think they are since they are legends. Continued after, the lovely picture.
But, people inside of the crew hipped me to Erica, too. In Prodigy’s book “My Infamous Life,” he makes mention of Erica. In the book, Havoc of Mobb Deep is “dating” Erica. Meanwhile, the group is at a performance where they are drinking heavily and partying like crazy. P says he was so out of it, he started “talking” to Erica. 50 Cent Links With Pepsi To Distribute Street King Energy Shot
(AllHipHop News)Rapper 50 Cent has landed a major distribution deal and it’s not for his music, it’s for his new Street King energy shot.
50 has been tirelessly promoting the energy drink, which he launched in September of 2011.
“I did a deal with Pepsi to distribute streetking its gonna be every were [sic] buy a bottle feed some one in need,” 50 revealed on Twitter.
50 Cent launched the Street King energy shot, in order to fight world hunger.
Everytime a shot is purchased, a meal is provided for a child in need.
According to 50, his goal is to serve over 1 billion meals, via the Street King energy drink initiative.
Street King is expected to expand its distribution nationally under the deal with Pepsi.
50 is very familiar with doing business with soft drink makers.
In 2007, 50, who owned a stake in vitamin water, earned over $100 million dollars after Coca-Cola purchased the company for over $4 billion dollars.
Hip-Hop Rumors: Diddy Tweets Cassie While Celebrating With Kim Porter?!
Oh man, Diddy sure does live up to his “player” image. doesn’t he!
Last night, Diddy was the perfect family man, hosting a New Year’s Eve party at his home in South Beach with his on again/off again girlfriend Kim Porter. The two have three children together and have been an item so long that we’re sure they qualify as a common law marriage! Diddy and Kim co-hosted the shin-dig together, along with their twin daughters and son.
Unfortunately for Kim, Diddy was busy sending tweets to his rumored girlfriend Cassie. Diddy tweeted @officialcas happy new year baby girl!!!!! 🙂 2012
Back on December 27, poor Cassie tweeted “Love is too complicated for me.” She did not respond to Diddy’s tweet. Wonder if this marks the end for the not-so-undercover lovers?
Hip-Hop Rumors: Drake Rings in the New Year with his Ex?!
So much for those Dollicia Bryant rumors! Last night, Drake was spotted ringing in the New Year with his ex, Zineb aka Nebby. For those who don’t know, Nebby was Drake’s self-proclaimed first love, and the woman who inspired his break out hit, “Best I Ever Had”. The two were all hugged up on the Nivea Stage after Drake’s performance on Carson Daily’s NYE special. Check out the photo below.
Drake has also name dropped her in a few of his songs, including “Look What You’ve Done”, where he raps, ‘It’s like ’09 in your basement and I’m in love with Nebby / And I still love her but it fell through because I wasn’t ready‘.
True love never dies! We’d rather see Drake with his first love before a video vixen and industry jump off any day. Nubby, do what you gotta do, girl!

Hip-Hop Rumors: DJ Yeezy World Peace WACK?!
Kanye West made his stateside DJ debut as DJ Yeezy World Peace last night at the pre-grand opening of 1 OAK at the Mirage in Vegas. Kanye manned the DJ booth for 3 hours and spun a combination of Bon Jovi, Bobby Brown, and Michael Jackson, as well as an array of his own hits including “N*ggas in Paris” (which he played five times!!), ‘‘Golddigger” and “Good Life”.
Unfortunately, not everyone thought DJ Yeezy World Peace did a good job behind the 1’s and 2’s. Several fans in attendance tweeted their dislike for Kanye’s DJ skills, calling him “the worst DJ of all-time” and an “awful DJ”. Check out the tweets below.

Rappers, Athletes and TV Stars Ring In The New Year
Last night, celebrities around the world rang in the New Year with over-the-top parties at private mansions, proposals at the stroke of midnight, and a few even celebrated with their ex-loves.
As usual, many celebrities flocked to the warm weather of Miami. The hottest ticket of the night seemed to be Diddy’s NYE bash at his mega mansion on Star Island. Co-hosted by his on again/off again flame Kim Porter, Diddy hosted the likes of Rihanna, Atlanta Housewife Ne Ne Leaks, Vivica Fox, Nelly, Selita Ebanks, Gayle King, Busta Rhymes, and many others. Side note – Rihanna was accompanied by her former flame Matt Kemp. Could a reconciliation be in the works for these two?
Rick Ross hosted the “Hennessy Takeover” over at Cameo in South Beach and was joined by DJ Khaled, FloRida, Maybach Music Group artist Stalley, and funny man Mike Epps and his wife Mechelle. After the Bawse counted down the year over the microphone, he went into a full on concert, giving a high energy performance of “Imma Boss” and “I’m on One”.
LeBron James utilized NYE to pop the question to his son’s mother and long time girlfriend Savannah Brinson at a private dinner in Miami. Bron Bron got down on one knee in front of his teammates Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, who attended with their significant others, Gabrielle Union and Adrienne Bosh; Nas was in the house, as were Sanna Lathan, Jessica White, Gloria James, and LeBron & Savannah’s two sons were also in attendance.
Orange Drive was poppin’ this year with performances by Jason Derulo and Ne-Yo. DJ Irie counted down the New Year, and DJ Jermaine Dupri kept the party going well after midnight.
Rosci and Terrell Owens hosted the “Hennessy Takeover” at Karu & Y on South Beach which featured performances by Ne-Yo and Ryan Leslie.
Over in Las Vegas, Chris Brown attended the NYE event at Pure with girlfriend Karreuche. He also celebrated his 22nd birthday.
Kanye West and Fergie hosted the grand opening of 1 OAK at the Mirage in Sin City. Kanye played his first U.S. gig as DJ Yeezy World Peace, where he played a three-hour set consisting of music from Michael Jackson, Bon Jovi, and Bobby Brown, as well as many of his own hits. Yeezy’s G.O.O.D. Music family was in the house, including Big Sean and Kid Cudi.
On Friday night in DC, ?uestlove of the Roots DJ’ed at the swanky Park on Fourteenth in Washington, D.C for the “Hennessy VS Takeover” event, before jetting down to NYC to appear on New Year’s Eve with Carson Daily.
In New York, Drake, Cee Lo, The Roots and Lady GaGa performed in Times Square for the Carson Daily New Year’s Eve special on NBC, where Drake was seen cozying up to his ex-girlfriend Zineb aka Nebby. Benny was Drake’s girlfriend before the fame and fortune. Drake performed a few of his hits at the Nivea Stage, such as “Headlines,” The Motto,” and “Make Me Proud”.
