Rick Ross’ Ex Elise Neal Chides Those Around Rapper

(AllHipHop News) Actress, Elise Neal, who dated Rick Ross earlier this year, says she predicted the rapper’s health ailments, which now have Ross hospitalized.

“I hate to say this, but I saw this coming,” she told rumorfix.com. “I think they’re pushing him too hard.”

While she didn’t specify, the interview alluded to his record label Def Jam and entourage.

”They don’t think about him or his health, pushing him to do all these videos, pushing tours and shows,” Neal continued. “He is not 20 years old anymore — no one seems to care about him really or overall his health.”

On Friday, Ross suffered a pair of seizures that forced him into the emergency room. During the first one, he had to be resuscitated by medics.

She also stated that Ross probably should have stopped traveling after the first seizure, but he continued on with the expectation that he was going to perform in Memphis, Tennessee.

“If you have a medical emergency … if you have the people who are closest around you saying ‘You’re alright’ — you’re going to be more apt to say ‘I’m alright.’”

Rick Ross and Elise Neal went on several highly visible dates earlier this year, including The Soul Train Awards and hot spot Mr. Chows. Their relationship ended quietly after he was seen with other women.

Exclusive: Soul Music Vet Syl Johnson Officially Files Lawsuit Against Jay-Z, Kanye West

(AllHipHop News) Soul music veteran Syl Johnson has officially filed a lawsuit against superstar rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West, claiming the pair illegally sampled one of his songs.

The lawsuit claims that the pair swiped elements of his classic 1967 song “Different Strokes” and used it in a song titled “The Joy” on their latest album, Watch the Throne.

Syl Johnson’s Syl-Zel Music filed the lawsuit in United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Eastern division, yesterday (October 13).

Lawyers for Johnson claimed that Jay-Z and Kanye West attempted to clear a sample of “Different Strokes” on a song for inclusion on another one of Kanye West’s albums, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.

They were not able to receive the proper permission to use the sample in time for the release of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and the track was subsequently left off of the album.

Johnson’s lawsuit claims that Jay-Z and Kanye West never received permission to sample “Different Strokes” but the pair used it anyway and released it on their Watch the Throne album on “The Joy.”

“Defendants are aware that Plaintiff’s own the copyrights to ‘Different Strokes’ as Defendants attempted to obtain permission to use an excerpt from this composition on West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” Johnson’s lawyer wrote in the complaint. “When Defendants were unable to legally obtain the rights to this composition for West’s album, Defendants withheld releasing ‘The Joy.’ Despite having never received permission to use an excerpt from ‘Different Strokes,’ Defendants nonetheless released ‘The Joy’ shortly thereafter on Watch the Throne.”

Syl Johnson and his Syl-Zel Music company seek to impound all copies of Watch the Throne, in addition to a full accounting of sales and publishing proceeds, along with punitive damages.

In August, Syl Johnson threatened to sue the pair after he got wind of the song’s pending release.

Two Members Of Snoop Dogg’s Entourage Accused Of Raping Fan In UK

(AllHipHop News) Two members of Snoop Dogg’s entourage are facing serious charges, after being accused of raping a fan after a performance in the United Kingdom last weekend.

The incident allegedly took place on Sunday (October 9), at the Cardiff Hilton Hotel.

According to reports, the woman was invited to a party in a room that was paid for by Snoop Dogg, after the event.

It was during the party that the two men associated with Snoop Dogg allegedly raped the woman.

The men, aged 28 and 30, denied all allegations, have made bail, and have returned to the United States.

The pair are due back in South Wales in the near future, to cooperate with the investigation.

According to reports, Snoop Dogg was interviewed by police, as a potential witness, although the rap star was not charged with any crime.

In 2005, Snoop Dogg dodged a $25 million dollar lawsuit involving a rape claim against a makeup artist, who accused his entourage of drugging and raping her after a taping of the Jimmy Kimmel Live Show on ABC, in 2003.

The latest charges are bad publicity for Snoop in the country.

He was banned from the UK in 2007, after a massive brawl between his entourage and security guards inside of Heathrow Airport.

The ban was eventually overturned when footage surfaced showing that police were the aggressors in the incident.
