Pusha T and his brother Malice didn’t mince words when asked about Travis Scott during a rapid-fire segment on MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber, brushing off the rapper with a pair of blunt responses that lit up social media.
When Melber tossed out Scott’s name alongside Hip-Hop heavyweights like Pharrell, JAY-Z and Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T responded, “Who is it?” while Malice followed with, “I don’t do that.”
The moment came during a fast-paced round of word associations, where the Clipse duo offered quick takes on some of the genre’s biggest names. Pharrell was dubbed “visionary,” JAY-Z earned “goat” and Kendrick Lamar was labeled “craftsman.” But when Travis Scott’s name came up, the energy shifted fast.
Melber, known for weaving rap lyrics into political commentary and earning respect from the Hip-Hop community, didn’t flinch. The Emmy-winning journalist has interviewed everyone from Meek Mill to Fat Joe and is often praised for his deep knowledge of rap culture. His show has become a go-to platform for artists looking to speak on both music and social issues.
The Clipse brothers’ dismissive remarks toward Scott weren’t followed by any clarification. While neither Pusha T nor Malice elaborated, the moment added another layer to the long-standing friction between Pusha and Scott.
The beef between Travis Scott and Clipse, primarily fueled by Pusha T, erupted after an incident during the recording of Clipse’s new album, Let God Sort Em Out, in Paris. While Clipse and Pharrell were working in the studio, Scott entered, eager to play tracks from his soon-to-be-released UTOPIA album.
“He sees me and Malice there, and he’s like, ‘Oh, man, everybody’s here,’” Pusha T recounted. “He’s smiling, laughing, jumping around, doing his f###### monkey dance. We weren’t into the music, but he wanted to play it, wanted to film [us and Pharrell listening to it].”
The situation escalated when Scott played the song “Meltdown” but deliberately omitted Drake’s verse, which contained a diss aimed at Pharrell.
Pusha interpreted this as a breach of loyalty, declaring, “He don’t have no picks, no loyalty to nobody. He’ll jump around whatever he feels is hot or cling onto whatever he feels is hot. So, that’s where my issue comes in—like, dawg, don’t even come over here with that, because at the end of the day, I don’t play how y’all play. To me, that really was just like…he’s a w####. He’s a w####.”
Pusha T retaliated lyrically on the Clipse single “So Be It,” unleashing pointed barbs: “You cried in front of me, you died in front of me/Calabasas took your b#### and your pride in front of me/Heard Utopia had moved right up the street/And her lip gloss was poppin’, she ain’t need you to eat.”
The verse references Scott’s high-profile breakup with Kylie Jenner and alludes to her success outside of their relationship, even threatening, “But I got the video, I can share and A.E. it/They wouldn’t believe it, but I can’t unsee it/Lucky I ain’t TMZ it, so be it, so be it.”
A 9-year-old rapped with confidence and charisma at a packed Mexican restaurant in Mississippi, accidentally launching herself into viral fame with Project Pat’s “Chickenhead.”
Alaynna Doty from Olive Branch took the mic at Crazy Cactus restaurant this July and surprised everyone by flawlessly delivering lyrics from Project Pat‘s early 2000s classic.
The crowd cheered her on as some joined in, but it was only after her mother posted the clip to TikTok that Alaynna truly became an overnight star.
“It’s just like a song that I’ve known for a long time. They were pretty shocked, but they sang along with me,” Alaynna told WREG.
Her mom, Lauren Durham, hit upload and unknowingly set off a digital chain reaction. Within days, the clip racked up more than 4 million views and drew in over 130,000 comments.
“When I posted it, she said, ‘Mom, I cannot believe you did that,’ and I was like, ‘Alaynna.’ It just shows you have a lot of confidence. I’m just showing, you know, other children that you have confidence and it’s OK to have confidence,” Durham said.
The viral push reached another level when Project Pat reposted the footage on his own platforms, which helped spread it even further, with users from all over praising Alaynna’s confidence.
“I was just watching a movie and my friend Bella. She called me and said, ‘You know, you’re viral?’ And I’m like, ‘No, I’m not,’ and she said, ‘Go check your mom’s TikTok.’ I said ok, and I went to check it. I’m like, how did I get to this?” Alaynna recalled.
The video first appeared online during the weekend of July 2025 and has continued to trend across various platforms.
Samuel L. Jackson is stepping into new territory with crime and redemption as he takes the helm in NOLA King, his first lead role in a television series debuting through Paramount+.
The 76-year-old screen icon will portray Russell Lee Washington Jr., a character set to make his debut in the third season of Tulsa King, which is scheduled to arrive in September.
The spinoff expands on the world built by Sylvester Stallone‘s Dwight Manfredi, introducing Jackson’s character as a federal prison acquaintance sent by the Renzetti crime family on a dark mission: eliminate Manfredi.
But what starts as a hit job turns into something more layered.
“Nola King follows Russell Lee Washington Jr. who, after befriending Dwight Manfredi (Stallone) during a 10-year stint in federal prison, is sent to Tulsa by New York’s Renzetti crime family to take Dwight out once and for all,” a synopsis from Paramount+ reads. “Inspired by what Dwight created in Tulsa and impressed with the possibilities of second chances, Washington returns to New Orleans, the home he abandoned 40 years ago, to rekindle his relationship with his family and friends, and to take control of the city he left behind.”
Jackson has kept quiet publicly about the series. Still, Stallone expressed complete confidence in Jackson being the right man to drive the expansion of the franchise.
“(Co-CEO of Paramount Global) Chris McCarthy came to me with a game-changing idea: to elevate my show beyond a mob boss series, creating a dynamic, family-driven franchise,” Stallone said. “I was immediately on board. Sam Jackson is the only choice to anchor this new adventure in NOLA, and David Glasser and 101 (Studios) are the perfect partner to bring it to life.”
NOLA King not only gives Jackson his first lead role in a full TV series but also adds to the growing list of projects born from Taylor Sheridan’s creative incubation at Paramount+. Sheridan will also serve as executive producer on the show alongside Stallone and Jackson.
Though Jackson previously headlined projects like The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey and both were limited series rather than ongoing commitments. This move signals a broader commitment to the small screen with an ambitious premise steeped in legacy, power, and second chances.
The third season of Tulsa King is expected to premiere in September on Paramount+.
Snoop Dogg sealed a deal to become a minority owner of Swansea City A.F.C., a Welsh soccer club competing in England’s second-tier league, giving the team a splash of Hip-Hop stardom and international spotlight.
The 53-year-old rap mogul and entrepreneur steps into the football world alongside notable names like Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić and American investors Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen.
“My love of football is well known, but it feels special to me that I make my move into club ownership with Swansea City,” Snoop said. “The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working-class city and club. An underdog that bites back, just like me.”
With over 100 million followers across his digital platforms, the Hip-Hop icon plans to boost Swansea’s profile well beyond the UK, helping the club cultivate fans and business across borders. Executives hope that expanded visibility leads to new revenue and strategic growth.
“It is very exciting for us as a football club to formally welcome Snoop Dogg as a co-owner and investor into Swansea City,” said CEO Tom Gorringe. “Dogg is passionate about this project and helping us continue to raise the profile of the club to as wide an audience as possible.”
To commemorate his involvement, Swansea installed a custom mural of Snoop, painted by artist Hasan Kamil, inside the West Stand of their stadium.
During past interviews, Snoop has openly discussed his interest in the sport and his fondness for football culture. He’s worn jerseys from numerous clubs over the years, but he told Swansea’s management that this feels different.
“During our conversations, Snoop spoke about having worn many football shirts without ever having felt a club to be the right fit for him,” said the team’s ownership group. “We are delighted that putting on a Swansea shirt has proven to be that right fit.”
The club confirmed the mural unveiling and Snoop’s official inclusion in the ownership team on June 1.
What is going on with Nicki Minaj lately? It’s honestly hard to keep up with everything, especially this latest situation involving her, SZA and now a rapper (or content creator?) named Mack Wop.
You probably already know the basics, but there’s something new bubbling up. Mack Wop is a TDE artist I’d never even heard of before now. He said something that rubbed Nicki the wrong way.
“Nicki, relax… Relax before you get put in the blender like your boy did.” – Mack Wop
It was a reference that she apparently took as a threat, and now she’s tagged the feds in several posts hoping they investigate or even arrest him.
Yup, she really tagged the Feds. And some politicians, too. Check it.
And Rep. Luna entertains this on Twitter.
Please call my cell? Before this goes on, let’s talk about Luna. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R‑FL‑13) is a conservative and a hardcore Trump loyalists in Congress. She entered the House in January 2023. She has co-sponsored resolutions to expunge Trump’s impeachments and has proposed carving his face on Mount Rushmore.
Luna consistently votes “America First,” supports election denial claims, opposes abortion rights and pushes conservative economic and foreign policy agendas. Is it time to say she’s also a Barb? Maybe.
But it goes further. Somehow this now involves Tory Lanez.
This all happened on Thursday (July 17), Assata Shakur’s birthday. I just watched a long post about how the government actually persecuted Assata, and now I see Nicki is trying to get a dude jammed up. This sucks. Mack Wop is no Assata, and Nicki sure isn’t J. Edgar Hoover.
Still, it’s sad to see Black folks coming at each other like this—especially when there’s real chaos in the world right now, with Trump and everything else going on.
But back to the mess.
This whole thing is spiraling fast. Mack Wop seems to be enjoying the spotlight. He’s leaning into it heavy. Some people online are saying he might actually have a real federal case coming, but honestly…I doubt it.
From what I can tell, his “blender” comment was more about the Kendrick versus Drake rap beef than anything directed at Nicki. Some say it refers to some other online poster. And there’s talk that he doesn’t even leave his house, so make of that what you will. Streamers unite.
Still, a senator has now said she’s forwarding everything to the FBI. Yes, really.
So yeah…this is where we are. Check out some of the madness for yourself and let me know what you think. Is this legit? Or is it just another day in the rap soap opera?
Skepta wasted no time. He’s fired back at Joyner Lucas with his new diss track “Round 2,” escalating a war of words between the UK grime legend and the US representative.
Coming off the heels of Joyner’s “Nobody Cares,” Skepta came back with a no-frills verbal assault. Over a dark production, Skepta flexed his global status, reminding fans of his triple platinum success in the states and more. He mocked Joyner for only going platinum “rapping in third person.”
He dismissed Joyner’s win over Tory Lanez stating, “I beat you in two lines.”
“I don’t do gimmicks. I do Guinness,” Skepta raps, blending nods to London nightlife and grime. The track dives deeper into UK slang and puts his foe on full blast.
“Round 2” arrives just days after Skepta’s guest appearance during Drake’s headlining Wireless Festival set.
Skepta’s Lucas dis drew mixed reviews, but many felt the whole battle was useless. Joyner Lucas’ “Nobody Cares” also received mixed reviews. Many have felt the beef needlessly pits UK grime against American Hip-Hop.
50 Cent’s ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins is staring down a federal lawsuit after allegedly promoting tell-all content online that violates a contract signed with the rapper’s publishing imprint, G-Unit Books.
AllHipHop has exclusively learned Tompkins sold the exclusive rights to her life story—including her name, likeness, personal experiences and all related publicity uses—to G-Unit Books back in 2007.
In return, she reportedly received $80,000 and was promised future royalties.
The document refers to those rights as “unconditional, irrevocable, exclusive and perpetual,” leaving no room for public commentary or monetization outside of the company’s control.
However, G-Unit Books now claims Tompkins broke that agreement by posting and sharing a series of interviews and videos that delve into her past with 50 Cent and their son, Marquise.
She claimed the rapper hit her while she was pregnant with Marquise in 1996, that he was physically and verbally abusive during their relationship, hit her in front of her daughter and “beat the mess” out of her in another altercation.
“Capitalizing on her recent notoriety from a ‘viral’ post commenting on testimony in the high-profile ‘Diddy’ trial, Tompkins has repeatedly and deliberately exploited the very rights she conveyed to G-Unit Books,” a complaint obtained by AllHipHop reads.
According to 50 Cent’s attorney Reena Jain, “Tompkins’ behavior was intentional—she explicitly referenced the very agreement she breached while she actively breached it, stating it was something that was ‘going to have to be worked out legally.'”
G-Unit’s legal team argues the damage goes far beyond financial injury.
The core value of those rights, they say, came from their exclusivity, which no longer exists once personal information circulates online.
“Jackson purchased these rights to preserve them for use in future biographical or autobiographical projects, but also in part because he was concerned that Tompkins would attempt to monetize their history and his name. His concerns were ultimately proven correct,” Reena Jain added.
The company is asking the court to do four things: order Tompkins to remove and stop promoting any media tied to her life story, award damages of at least $1 million, require her to cover their legal expenses and grant any other appropriate relief.
The contract also included a clause requiring Tompkins to indemnify G-Unit Books for any losses due to breaches, placing even more weight on her alleged violations.
GloRilla will bring both street anthems and Southern flair to the national stage when she performs at halftime during the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game in Indianapolis on July 19.
The Memphis rapper, who has quickly climbed the ranks in Hip-Hop, was tapped by the league to deliver a high-energy set at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, amplifying the entertainment factor of the weekend’s marquee event.
The league announced her performance on X, making it official ahead of the WNBA Live festivities. Game tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 P.M. ET and will air on ABC, ESPN+ and Disney+.
GloRilla’s halftime appearance places her in the thick of what’s expected to be one of the largest All-Star celebrations in league history.
Two of the WNBA’s brightest names, Caitlin Clark and Napheesa Collier, will captain the respective All-Star rosters after leading fans’ votes. Clark’s presence in her home arena adds another level of excitement to an already packed venue.
Adding to her momentum, GloRilla will headline her own show, the “Glo Bash,” on July 25 at Memphis’ FedExForum, marking her first major homecoming event.
Team Clark and Team Collier will feature standouts such as A’ja Wilson, Paige Bueckers, Sabrina Ionescu, and Aliyah Boston. Rhyne Howard and Satou Sabally, originally part of the lineup, were ruled out due to injuries, with Kayla McBride named as one of the replacements.
Beyond the basketball, event organizers have infused the game with innovative rules. A 28-foot four-point shot zone is back, live substitutions will occur mid-play, and a shortened 20-second shot clock is in effect.
Teams will receive automatic points for fouls outside the final minutes, removing free throws from most of the mix.
For viewers tuning in from home, the televised broadcast includes over 20 camera angles, mic’d-up players, and on-court interviews. Additional ESPN content will stream simultaneously across platforms.
The weekend also features WNBA Live, a multi-day fan experience packed with music performances, interactive games, and celebrity appearances, held from July 18 to 19 in downtown Indianapolis.
GloRilla takes the spotlight just before Team Clark goes head-to-head with Team Collier in what promises to be a fast-paced matchup on July 19.
Donald Trump underwent a full vascular workup at the White House after noticing swelling in his legs, leading to a diagnosis of chronic venous insufficiency, a condition common in older adults, according to a letter released Thursday (July 17) by his physician.
The 79-year-old had a “comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said, reading directly from a memo written by Capt. Sean Barbabella, Trump’s doctor. The letter confirmed that “bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70.”
The evaluation followed Trump’s report of “mild swelling in his lower legs” over the past few weeks, Leavitt said. Despite the diagnosis, Barbabella noted there was “no evidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) or arterial disease,” and all lab results were “within normal limits.” Trump also had an echocardiogram, which showed “no signs of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness.”
Chronic venous insufficiency occurs when vein valves in the legs don’t function properly, causing blood to pool. It affects roughly 150,000 people annually, with risk increasing with age. Symptoms may include swelling, aching, varicose veins or skin changes. Treatment ranges from medication to surgical procedures in more advanced cases.
“This is a pretty normal part of aging, and especially for someone in the overweight to obese category, which is where the president has always been,” said Dr. Jeremy Faust, an emergency medicine professor at Harvard Medical School, in an interview with CNN. “But the bigger concern … is that symptoms like this do need to be evaluated for more serious conditions, and that is what happened.”
Cardiologist Dr. Bernard Ashby told CNN that while the diagnosis is not immediately worrisome, it could be a sign of something more.
“Even though he’s diagnosed with a benign condition, venous insufficiency, by itself doesn’t necessarily mean it’s benign,” Ashby said. “The question is, what’s causing the venous insufficiency?”
Ashby praised the medical team for “covering all their bases” by ruling out heart failure and other related issues. Dr. Chris Pernell, a public health physician, added that age, weight and a sedentary lifestyle are all contributing factors.
“If a person is older, a person is overweight, a person is not engaging in regular physical activity or exercise, if a person is sitting or standing for prolonged amounts of time, you can get chronic venous insufficiency,” she said. “And while it is not life-threatening, it can be debilitating.”
Leavitt also addressed visible bruising on the back of Trump’s hand, attributing it to “frequent handshaking” and his use of aspirin. Barbabella confirmed in the letter, “This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin, which is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.”
The letter concluded with a clean bill of health: “President Trump remains in excellent health.” Trump turns 80 next month and will then be the oldest U.S. president in history.
Nicki Minaj escalated her war of words with Top Dawg Entertainment to another level by mocking the weight of label president Punch in a now-viral tweet, which has intensified a public standoff with singer SZA.
“TDE EXEC ALLEGEDLY WENT TO DR. NOW for his weight loss journey & they just called him & said it’s time to do the loose skin part now. Allegedly,” she wrote, continuing a string of insults aimed at both Punch and SZA stemming from a feud that began earlier this month.
Hey, this Justin
Omg, Bieber?????
No, THIS JUST IN: TDE EXEC ALLEGEDLY WENT TO DR. NOW for his weight loss journey & they just called him & said it’s time to do the loose skin part now. Allegedly pic.twitter.com/gLAx86TYMX
Tensions worsened after SZA pointed out that her SOS Tour grossed over $113 million, which actually bested the $108 million earnings from Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 tour.
After one of Minaj’s supporters questioned her success, SZA fired back with, “I get bullied by millions online every day then step my ass out onna packed stadium tour where ppl show me REAL love . IN REAL LIFE . My parents are healthy and I’m the most successful I ever been. GET SOME F###### PERSPECTIVE n BARK AT THE WALL !!!”
The feud began after Nicki Minaj accused SZA of being “fake” and dismissed her artistry, claiming she relied on auto-tune and wasn’t a real icon. Minaj escalated the situation by resurfacing old tweets, which she claimed were dissing Beyoncé and Rihanna by SZA.
SZA responds to Nicki Minaj:
“Nicki . You absolutely know my music and what I contribute cause you’ve asked for features twice to no response . In addition to rapping my lyrics on feeling myself “Cooking up the bass looking like a kilo”? Lol ur having a moment ..im not sure why… pic.twitter.com/2Sw21v8ItQ
Washington DC might be best known for its politics, but there’s another green wave sweeping through the capital. A rising cannabis culture. Over the years, DC has carved out a unique and evolving marijuana scene that’s unlike anywhere else in the country.
This refreshing cannabis culture is making life a lot simpler for those who suffer and a lot more fun for those who are constantly seeking out the most exhilarating experience.
In this guide, we stroll through DC’s streets and peek at the unfolding culture, discuss the latest rules and regulations, and guide you to the best weed in DC.
What the Cannabis Culture in DC is Like
The city’s cannabis culture is like no other. Yes, consumers do still tread carefully when they are indulging in the pleasures. Mostly because they fear stigma. But the overall vibe for these, once taboo, products is mostly positive. Consumers are more open about this part of their lives and openly celebrate it. DC even hosted a National Cannabis Festival in July 2025 that celebrated the legalization of weed with live music and fun exhibitions.
With so much positivity and many supportive communities to join, you will certainly find your place, whether you are a medical or recreational consumer.
The Latest DC Cannabis Legislation
The latest changes in legislation are making cannabis more accessible than ever. Yet, consumers still need to step within boundaries or they could face penalties, charges, or even jail time. Let’s take a look at the most noteworthy rules and regulations that every consumer should know about.
Age Limitations
The age limitations haven’t changed since these products were first legalized. You still need to be 21 and over to be able to buy or consume these types of products, whether it is in flower or processed form.
Possession and Usage Regulations
Adults can only have up to 2 ounces of cannabis flower in their possession. They can grow a maximum of 6 plants, of which only 3 may be fully mature. You can also only gift up to 1 ounce of dry flower to another adult.
As for usage, it is still best to indulge at home. Public use is strongly prohibited, and consumers can only receive their treatments on private property.
The “Gifting” Market is Shutting Down
Since 2023 – 2024, DC authorities have started cracking down on unlicensed stores that gift cannabis with purchases of merchandise. A great many unlicensed dealers and recreational stores have been shut down, leaving only a few fully authorised dispensaries still operational.
The Legal Way to Buy Weed in DC
If you want to buy weed legally within Washington, DC, then it is best to follow the right protocol. This applies to both recreational and medical consumers. The only legal route is by using the medical market. Fortunately, this process is quite simple.
Register as a Medical Patient
Any consumer needs to register as a medical patient with the ABCA (Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration). Consumers can self-register directly on their website or at the ABCA offices. Both DC residents and non-DC residents can apply.
DC Residents
Simply fill out their online questionnaire to apply for your medical cannabis card. Applicants will instantly receive a temporary digital registration card. This allows you to immediately buy from dispensaries for up to 30 days. In the meantime, your authorised digital card will be emailed to you. This card can be valid for up to 2 years.
Non-DC Residents
Those residing outside of DC can also apply for a medical cannabis card. The procedure is the same, but the medical cards are different. There are five different cards in total that each vary in their validity periods. You can apply for a 3-day card, 30-30-day card, 90 90-day card, 180-day card, or 1-year card.
For the application process, you will need a government-issued ID card and a photograph or selfie.
Visit a Licensed Dispensary
Once you have your temporary or permanent digital cannabis card, you can start shopping. It is important to only visit a fully licensed dispensary like Granny Za’s. When you present your card, you will be able to purchase anything the store offers.
Buying Tips and Considerations
You no longer have to be concerned about cash-only transitions when you visit these stores. Modern dispensaries accept debit payments. What you should be concerned about is product type. The selections at good dispensaries are truly baffling, and it can be difficult to make the right decision if you are still new to cannabis. Here are some important considerations.
Consult With Dispensary Staff
It is best to start your journey by consulting with the dispensary staff. Most employees at dispensaries are very knowledgeable and can help guide you towards a suitable treatment. If you are dealing with a complex condition, then it can be good to book a session with a cannabis consultant. These experts can advise a tailored long-term treatment plan that will offer you the best possible benefits.
Start Slow
Any cannabis veteran will recommend starting slow. Intense dosages can be overwhelming and might even result in an unpleasant experience. It is always better to start low and gradually work your way up to a more potent dose.
Consider the Consumption Method
There are lots of different ways to get your daily treatments. The most common consumption method involves smoking flower buds or joints. Vapes and cartridges have, however, gained a lot more popularity and offer a more pleasant experience since there are a lot more flavours to choose from.
You can also get your treatment o##### or topically. Topical treatments like creams are great for treating surface pain or skin ailments. Edibles or concentrates can also be consumed o##### and can be just as effective as smoking, yet offer longer-lasting results.
The different consumption methods can play a huge part in your overall experience and are worth exploring.
Why Granny Za’s Is The Best Dispensary in DC
Embarking on your cannabis journey is going to be one of the best experiences you’ve ever had. But your experience can only be positive if you focus on a licensed dispensary that distributes trusted, quality products.

Ja Rule lit up social media Thursday (July 17) after aiming another jab at longtime rival 50 Cent, bragging about his touring income and mocking the rapper’s recent ticket promotion overseas.
Ya’ll going to that Ja Rule concert??? 🤣 Imagine trying to clown someone currently on tour making 6 figures a show 🤦🏾♂️ you n##### cooked… @50cent take notes like you been doing this what a REAL performer looks like… lmao pic.twitter.com/QP3IckR76j
Ja Rule went after 50 Cent because he posted a viral video to his Instagram featuring a phone conversation between a woman and her man, in which she asks if he wants to attend a Ja Rule concert, and everyone laughs at the high ticket prices.
The post, which has since been deleted, still struck a nerve with Ja Rule.
“Ya’ll going to that Ja Rule concert???” he wrote alongside a video of his live performance posted to X, formerly Twitter. “Imagine trying to clown someone currently on tour making 6 figures a show you n****s cooked… \@50cent take notes like you been doing this what a REAL performer looks like… lmao.”
Ja Rule continues the “Where The Party At” tour, a run through North America with acts like Nelly and Eve. The outing is scheduled to finish in September.
Last month, Ja Rule clapped back at 50 Cent’s regular taunts by claiming the G-Unit boss was experiencing slow sales on his “Legacy” tour after fans claimed the rapper was offering a two-for-one ticket sale promotion to fill up empty seats.
When a supporter of 50 responded to Ja’s criticism by saying, “His tickets sold out, Ja Fool,” Ja clapped back with, “You sure bout that??? Ain’t nobody coming to see you Otis… I mean, Curtis.”
The online antics between the pair, who have been feuding for almost 30 years, continued when 50 Cent posted footage of a massively packed Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and writing: “How do you win a fight, if you’re fighting someone who is too stupid to know they lost? Just keep hitting them till they stop moving.”
Ja Rule’s “Where The Party At” tour wraps up in September 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Pete Davidson didn’t make the baby announcement himself, but his longtime friend Machine Gun Kelly made sure to chime in with a reaction that’s already turning heads on social media after the comedian’s girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt, went public with her pregnancy.
Davidson’s partner, Elsie Hewitt, confirmed they’re expecting their first baby together via an Instagram post. Alongside an ultrasound clip and a photo series of the couple, she wrote, “Welp now everyone knows we had sex.”
MGK, real name Colson Baker, had a playful response in the comments: “These playdates bout to hittttt (sic).”
Davidson and Hewitt, 31 and 29 respectively, have been dating since March and reportedly began living together two months after going public with their romance.
Davidson has openly spoken about becoming a parent in past interviews.
During a 2022 appearance on Kevin Hart’s talk show “Hart to Heart,” he said, “My favorite thing ever, which I’m yet to achieve, is I wanna have a kid. It’s super corny, but it would be so fun to dress up a little dude. I’m so excited for that chapter, so that’s kind of what I’m just preparing for now, is trying to be like good as a dude and develop and get better, so when that happens, it’s just easier.”
As for Machine Gun Kelly, he and actress Megan Fox welcomed their first child together in March. The rapper also has a teenage daughter from a previous relationship.
The couple has not yet revealed the due date more specifically than simply “winter,” but as of July 17, the news is confirmed.

Let’s be honest. The world of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) can feel like a mess. It’s drowning in jargon, filled with self-proclaimed gurus selling “secret formulas,” and haunted by outdated advice that probably worked back when dial-up was still a thing. For most business owners, trying to make sense of SEO can be incredibly frustrating, often feeling like a complex game rigged against them.
But what if it didn’t have to be that way?
What if SEO wasn’t some mystical dark art, but a set of straightforward, learnable principles? To cut through the noise, this guide will explain what really matters for SEO today.
It’s a starting point for dominating online, with insights from one of California’s top digital marketing agencies, New Deez.
Why Most SEO “Hacks” Are a Waste of Time
Before getting into what works, it’s important to understand what doesn’t. For years, some in the SEO world focused on tricks to “fool” Google’s algorithm. They used tactics like “keyword stuffing,” jamming pages with keywords until they were unreadable, or buying thousands of spammy links to create an illusion of authority.
Those days are definitively over. Google’s algorithm is now incredibly sophisticated and thinks less like a machine and more like a discerning human. It doesn’t want to be tricked; its entire goal is to provide users with genuinely valuable, helpful, and trustworthy answers. Any agency still selling shortcuts or promising instant #1 rankings is selling a ticket to a Google penalty. Lasting success in SEO today is about building a high-quality, authoritative web presence.
The New Golden Rule: A Deep Dive into E-E-A-T
So, how does a business build that real authority that Google rewards? It starts with understanding the only acronym that truly matters in SEO right now: E-E-A-T. This is Google’s framework for judging content quality, standing for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness.
Experience: This is about firsthand knowledge. Google wants to see content written by someone who has actually done the thing they’re writing about. A product review from a real user is infinitely more valuable than a generic description.
Expertise: This goes beyond experience. It’s about demonstrating qualifications and depth of knowledge. It can be shown through detailed guides, insightful analysis, and being a reliable source of information.
Authoritativeness: This is about a brand’s reputation in its industry. When other respected websites and experts link to a site, it sends a powerful signal to Google that it’s a go-to source.
Trustworthiness: This is the foundation. Is a website secure (HTTPS)? Is contact information easy to find? Are policies clear? Without trust, the other pillars don’t matter.
Focusing on building E-E-A-T is the most powerful, future-proof SEO strategy there is.
The Core Pillars: A Simple Breakdown of Modern SEO
Once you understand the E-E-A-T philosophy, you can apply it to the core pillars of SEO.
Here’s a jargon-free look at what they are and why they matter.
Keyword Research: Reading Your Customers’ Minds
This is the bedrock of any smart SEO plan. It’s not about guessing; it’s about using data to know what your ideal customers are searching for. This involves understanding their intent: are they looking for information (“how to fix something”) or are they looking to buy (“best product for X”)? Knowing the phrases they use and the intent behind them allows a business to create the perfect content to meet their needs.
On-Page SEO: Setting Your House in Order
This is the art of optimizing the actual pages on a website to be crystal clear to both search engines and humans. It involves crafting compelling titles and descriptions for search results, using headers correctly to structure content, and ensuring images are optimized. It’s about making content perfectly accessible.
Content Writing: The Art of Being Genuinely Useful
In 2025, great content is king. A website needs to be a resource, filled with articles, guides, and pages that are deeply helpful and interesting. The goal should always be to create the best possible answer on the internet for a given topic. High-quality content builds trust with readers and sends powerful ranking signals to Google.
Link-Building: Making Friends on the Internet
When another high-quality, relevant website links to your site, it acts as a “vote of confidence” in the eyes of Google. Earning these backlinks from reputable sources tells search engines that your content is trustworthy and authoritative. This isn’t about spammy tricks; it’s about creating content so good that other people naturally want to share it.
Technical SEO: The Stuff Under the Hood
This involves the nuts and bolts of a website’s performance. Is the site fast on all devices? Is it secure? Is the code clean and easy for Google to crawl? A solid technical foundation ensures that all the great content on a site can actually be found and properly indexed by search engines.

Freddie Gibbs and The Alchemist have officially released Alfredo: The Movie, now streaming on YouTube. Alongside the cinematic release, the duo also dropped the lead single “1995,” giving fans a first taste of their highly anticipated Alfredo 2 project, which they confirmed Thursday (July 17).
Described as “a Tokyo crime saga,” the film stars both Gibbs and The Alchemist and is directed by Nicholas Walker. The stylish, noir-inspired short film follows a cryptic storyline told partly in Japanese with English subtitles, offering an atmospheric journey steeped in crime, tension and introspection.
The narrator opens with, “Life is like pouring sake. Pour it faithfully. Nothing will spill,” setting the tone with philosophical reflections matched by gritty visuals, including a scene of Gibbs doing pull-ups beneath the title card Alfredo.
The movie’s closing credits confirm the project is presented by Softspot and labeled as Alfredo II, suggesting that the film and single are just the beginning of the album rollout.
The original Alfredo album dropped in 2020 to critical acclaim. With “1995” now available on all streaming platforms and the film online, fans can dive headfirst into the next chapter of this celebrated collaboration.
Megan Thee Stallion paired elegance with romance on Wednesday night, stepping out hand-in-hand with Klay Thompson for their first red carpet appearance together at the Inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York.
Hosted by the Megan Thee Stallion-led nonprofit, the gala highlighted efforts to support women, children, seniors, and low-income communities—causes close to her heart and rooted in her legacy.
The foundation is named in honor of her parents, Joseph Pete III and Holly Thomas, both of whom are deceased.
“I feel like they can see what I’m doing right now,” Megan told People. “I feel like they’re looking down on me from heaven, and I feel like they’re like, ‘Yes, daughter!’ I feel like my momma’s so happy.” She continued, “I feel like she is clapping. I feel like they’re super proud.”
Wearing coordinating black attire, the couple made their relationship officially public with a confident stroll down the carpet.
Their arrival followed growing speculation after Megan posted a video on July 9 that appeared to feature the Dallas Mavericks guard in the background—a moment eagle-eyed Instagram users quickly spotted.
Megan spoke briefly about how she and the four-time NBA champion connected.
“Oh, we met and it was such a meet cute it was like a f**king movie,” she said, declining to give the whole backstory. “I won’t tell you how and I won’t tell you when, but it was a movie that he’s the nicest person I’ve ever met in my life.”
The gala marked a significant milestone not only for Megan’s philanthropic ambitions but also for this high-profile pairing.
The Pete & Thomas Foundation, launched in 2022, aims to build pathways to education and wellness in underserved populations —a mission Megan previously outlined in collaborations with organizations like the Southern Black Girls & Women’s Consortium.
The high-profile couple’s red carpet introduction follows months of Megan keeping her love life strictly off the record, despite a surge in dating rumors.
“If you talking crazy out your face up on the stage and disrespect me on the stage, expect me on the stage,” Big Will rhymed before dropping, “Jokers dish it out/Cry out when it’s time to take it/City full of real ones wasn’t raised to fake it.”
During the live telecast of the 94th Academy Awards on March 27, 2022, Smith walked onstage and slapped comedian Chris Rock across the face. It resulted in a 10-year ban, but Rock never pressed charges.
Not to be confused with producer Marco Polo known for work with Masta Ace, Marco Polo Vision is a rapper and creative from Brooklyn. He recently dropped a video with Bun B and DMC called “Bun DMC.”
The track, styled as a parody of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, features animated characters like Uncle Phil and calls out Will Smith for what Polo sees as performative contrition and tone-deaf comeback bars.
“I grew up on both Chris Rock and Will Smith,” Polo said in a statement. “So when I saw Will Smith hit Chris Rock, it broke my heart. I felt like Will’s apology was a little pretentious with all the fake crying and all.”
Polo Vision says what stung more than the slap was Will’s attempts to revive his rap career using Rock’s assault as a bar double down. That’s when Polo decided to act.
“The Brooklyn in me felt like I had to speak up for my guy Chris Rock,” he explained. “He didn’t deserve that in the first place… and for Will to add insult to injury and diss him again? Nah.”
According to Polo, the song took just 20 minutes to write, but his purpose runs deeper.
“This isn’t about clout,” he insisted. “This is about protecting and preserving culture. White people love to see us going at each other like this, but even they aren’t supporting your nonsense, Will.”
Still, Polo Vision makes it clear he’s not a “hater,” recognizing he greg up on Smith’s legacy in entertainment and music.
“I grew up on “Nightmare on My Street,” “Summertime” and Fresh Prince,” he said. “But I won’t stand back while Will bullies Chris Rock just because Hollywood is crumbling and he has to deal with his own mortality.”
Polo Vision added that an apology from Will Smith to Chris Rock could resolve the issue on all fronts.
“I didn’t do this for beef. If Will apologizes to Chris, I’ll apologize to Will,” he stated. “But if he’s gonna stand on his nonsense, then I’ma stand on mine.”
Will Smith has yet to respond to the diss and may not even know it exists. Nevertheless, it seems like Polo Vision’s “The Fresh Dis of Bel-Air” is less about smoke and more about setting the cultural record straight.
“You wanna rap? Cool,” he concluded. “But don’t nobody wanna hear that bizzzaaaaaarreee ass stuff you on, Will. Respectfully.”
50 Cent and petty opportunities go together like Jeezy and snow metaphors.
50 went at his fav targets since Ja Rule: Lil Meech. Damn.
One of Lil Meech’s alleged former friends (we are using alleged for everything now) hopped on Instagram and aired him out. He dropped a carousel of pictures and videos and claimed that Lil Meech told on him during a police stop.
Even worse, the man said Meech literally threw drugs on him as the police were walking up. Then, allegedly told the cops, “Those aren’t mine.” He said Lil Meech panicked and tried to sacrifice him to the feds. I thought that’s what the homies were there for when there are big stars involved. Things have changed.
These accusations are ugly, but it was lowkey. I didn’t even know about this until the internet did what the internet does: TAGGED 50 CENT.
Fif reposted the content and it goes viral from there. Here I am, all late and right.
And Lil Meech didn’t let it go. He replied with the BMF kingpin Big Meech in the pic with a caption, “Hear no evil, speak no evil. Salt only kills snails, not made men.”
In the video, the internet says Meechie asked the cops if they “found the other stuff?” to seemingly tip them off. It did not seem like they were on it like that. But they were then! Got Eem! People are wondering why Meech would volunteer information during a police stop. One commenter said, “That’s not street. That’s self-preservation.”
Is it “snitching” if you’re not a gangster but playing one on TV and social media? Meech is not a G, but he plays his own dad on TV. Can he claim civilian status? He seems to be a good kid for the most part. Why’d the drug dude think this young dude could hold him down to start?
Meech and Big Meech…seem to be on a deadline for a showdown with 50 Cent. This is heating up. Maybe it is time for Lil Meech to start rapping again.
Travis Scott challenged a copyright complaint in federal court, insisting that Victory Boyd couldn’t sue over “Telekinesis” because she never held exclusive rights over the material in question.
The Hip-Hop star asked a judge to toss the case brought by singer-songwriter Victory Boyd, who accused Scott of lifting lyrics and melodies from her unreleased 2019 track “Like the Way It Sounds.”
Scott’s latest argument centers on Boyd’s own admission that Kanye West was involved in the creation of the song. In her court filing, Boyd admitted that West provided the musical framework for “LTWIS,” including chords and beats.
That fact, according to the defense, invalidates her claim that she solely authored the original work — a requirement for valid copyright registration.
Scott’s legal team stated that Boyd had two conflicting registrations: one claiming full authorship of both the lyrics and music and another only covering the lyrics. Both are now under scrutiny.
The first is allegedly void because Boyd didn’t accurately list collaborators. The second, Scott argues, wasn’t submitted until after she sued, which, under copyright law, blocks her from collecting damages from earlier uses.
The lawsuit, filed in January 2025, accuses Scott, SZA and Future of unauthorized use of Boyd’s work in the song “Telekinesis.”
Boyd maintains she shared the original track with West in 2019. She claims he even recorded his own version titled “Ultrasounds” and that Scott would have had access to it through those sessions.
Boyd was credited as a co-writer of “Telekinesis” online, but says she was unaware that the final version had been released and never gave her approval.
Scott’s team went one step further, arguing that even if the claims proceed, West’s creative role gave him the right to authorize the use of the demo, effectively shielding the defendants from liability.
The court is expected to rule on the dismissal motion later this year.
