NAS AND THE MARLEYS!
Nas isnt taking any shorts in the year 2009! The rapper homey is already working on a new album and its not what you think. I got his passed off to me that Nas and Damian JR Gong Marley are about to release an album together. Thats right! Roots, rap and reggae! The pair are working some maneuvers out in Cali and will announced the full breadth of the CD. NICE!
CHRIS BROWN IS DOWN?
According to people.com. Chris Brown is feeling kind of down, since hes got all these felony charges against him. Here is the report.
Although he appears to be really strong through all of this, its really taking a toll on his spirit. People like me and Puff, were just trying to show him love and keep his spirits up while hes going through all of the heat, and there are a lot people doing the same for Rihanna.
Its really hard for him to focus right now on his music, even though he really wants to. At the end of the day, Im not trying to justify it because wrong is wrong, but unfortunately, us as entertainers, we have to grow up on stage with a lot of people looking at us. And a lot of people forget that hes 19, shes only 21.
Next time, dont hit/bite/choke a woman ALLEGEDLY!
Z-RO IN TROUBLE??
I heard a person by the name of Joseph Wayne McVey was arrested for some pretty serious traffic violations. Upon further analysis, we discovered that the person is quite possibly rapper Z-Ro, one of our favorite rappers from H-Town. Apparently, officers pulled him over (Why, we don’t know) and they smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the inside of the vehicle. Dude, I heard that Z-Ro (or the person we think is Z-Ro) admitted to smoking some of that lalala. They said they snatched up close to 14k in case and a weed cigarette from him. I know that Z-Ro has a pretty serious rap sheet…lets hope this is another Joseph Wayne McVey.
MORE ON LIL SCRAPPY
Here is more on the Lil Scrappy rumor. Dude left Warner a few months back and just released his group album Lil Scrappy & G’$ Up album “Silence and Secrecy” on Good Hands/G’$ Up. Here is the latest. I heard that Lil Scrappy Doo is signing to none other than Mr. Ludacris of DTP. Don’t quote me on it, but that’s what the streets are saying to me. Not a bad look actually. Lil Scrappy just caught G-Unit and Lil Jon at the wrong time. Luda!
COMMON’S SXSW FREESTYLE!
We had a real nice like review of Kanye Wests G.O.O.D. Music outing at SXSW, but here is a tidbit I missed. Common reportedly stated in a freestyle. “Yes, I wanna bone Alicia Keyes” And, I heard the look on Erykah Badus face (who was on stage too) was worth money to see.
Here is that Common freestyle!
HANG IN THERE TRICK DADDY!!!!

CAPTION THIS: THE RAIN MEN
This is the latest screen short from the new Eminem video featuring 50 Cent and Dr. Dre.
What are your thoughts?
Here is the inspiration for the video – none other than Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman in 1988’s “Rainman.” Below you will see the scene from the casino. Doesn’t Em look like Dustin?
ILLSEEDS QUICKIES
UHMMMM I am hearing that Nicole Wray is going to diss to Keri Hilston? Why?
Oh God! Jim Jones has has admitted that he and Camron DID talk. Now why would he make his boy look stupid like that?
Amy Winehouse has apparently recorded an album of mostly reggae-sounding material. Sadly or happily her label told her to go back to the lab, giving it the thumbs down.
Kanye West denies that he is about to launch a clothing line with British denim brand Religion.
I TALKED TO D. MILLER AKA YOUNG TRUMP AKA MASTER PS NEPHEW!
I would like to say that I helped Yung Berg out, by sending him a lifeline before some drama popped off. AHA! But I managed to get in contact with none other than Young Trump, the dude that says he laid hands on Yung Berg earlier this year. He told me this:
Illseed, me and my goons ain’t tripping off young berg. He’s a lame in our category, and already showed the world he’s a p####. I’m not in LA for the car show, I’m in NY right now with my homie Chi-Town Harry working on music. I have no beef with Young Berg he ain’t even on my level. Free C. Miller. Illseed wuss good Allhiphop.com is the best.
There you have it. Yung Berg is safe!

This is originally from one of my posts on illseed.com, but I had to bring it over to AllHipHop for the thugs on here. Look at how the thugs in Brazil play.

SIGNS THE WORLD IS COMING TO AN END
A woman gets raped. That is bad. Now, does it make the already dastardly deed worse that the woman raped was an 89-year-old UK woman? I know the actual act of rape is horrific, but the fact that this woman is sold, just seems to make it worse. Perhaps, because she last less time on Earth to recover? I dont know. She was allegedly raped in her own home like 4 or 6am. They arrested the night club security officer of a local spot on Saturday evening and charged him with rape and attempted rape. This dude is 30 years old. Whats he see in a woman almost 60 years his senior? He must see hes a sick puppy at this point.
EPIC WIN OF THE DAY
BLACK THOUGHTS SIDE HUSTLE! When Black Thought isnt on the mic and very ill, hes doing the work on Jimmy Fallon and when hes not doing that, hes just doing movies with Rosario Dawson. SMH. He won.
MASSIVE FIGHT BREAKS OUT AT SHAWTY LO SHOW!

A Hip-Hop concert in downtown Vancouver degenerated into a near riot between police and patrons after a no-show by headlining rapper Necro.
The show was sponsored by Abort magazine, and was set to take place at Richards on Richards nightclub last Saturday (March 21).
According to Abortmag.com, fans became restless after waiting hours for Necro to appear, only to be told that the Brooklyn emcee was forced to reschedule due to travel delays.
Despite the show being rescheduled for the following day (March 22), concert-goers began throwing bottles, chairs, and tables on stage at the DJ.
Club security was quickly overwhelmed, and Vancouver police arrived within minutes to quell the disturbance.
In what Abortmag.com referenced as excessive force, several fans were slammed to the concrete outside as patrons yelled out accusations of police brutality.
The increased animosity between residents and authorities stems from the police shooting death of an alleged box cutter wielding homeless man on Friday March 20.
According to the B.C. Civil Liberties Association, the area has seen at least 24-police related shooting deaths between 1999 and2007.
At press time, rapper Necro could not be reached for comment.
Rapper Jadakiss isnt about to condemn accused domestic abuser Chris Brown, but certainly sees the errors in upsetting the female demographic. The rapper recently made a stop though Philly, at a conference for women, and offered his opinions. I’m not going to knock him, [because] the whole world is knocking him, Jadakiss told AllHiphop.com. You can’t hit females. The Yonkers rapper will address the strength in woman on his new album, The Last Kiss, with a duet with songstress Jazmine Sullivan. Its called Smoking Guns. Females are real strong. They go through something and hold it in forever, he said of the song. Kiss said that Sullivan appealed to him musically because she has also addressed abuse in song. But my song isnt about physical abuse, its about other types of abuse, he explained. Jadakiss explained that his appreciation for female extends into his approach in music. One of the things I learned from Biggie and Puff Daddy is that the ladies buy albums. You have to acknowledge the ladies, he stated. I’ve always been the one to stay on the hottest R&B collabos. I do joints to let the ladies know I’m out here. All week [if the ladies are listening to a track] before they get their hair and their nails done, they’re going to go and buy it. Ever since I entered the game, I’ve always made a point to put at least two or three joints on there for the ladies. I done sat with ladies and listened to CD’s and heard them be like “he aint have nothing on there for us.” I would never want that happen with any of my projects. The Last Kiss is expected to drop on April 7th 2009 with features by Swizz Beatz, OJ Da Juiceman, Mary J. Blige, Nas, Lil Wayne, Ghostface Killah & Raekwon, The Lox and others.
Hip-Hop’s most popular trio are preparing for a full fledged return to the rap game.
Rappers Eminem and 50 Cent, along with producer/rapper Dr. Dre, shot a video for the first single from Em’s upcoming album The Relapse.
The trio shot scenes for the video inside of The Palms Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Representatives for Interscope remained mum about the title for the first official single from Eminem’s highly anticipated album, his first in four years.
Reps did confirm that the video would hit airwaves and the Internet on April 7.
Additionally, Eminem who has sold over 75,000,000 records, has announced a follow-up album, The Relapse 2, will hit stores before the end of 2009.
“A lot of people we’re expecting Relapse to drop last year,” Eminem told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “I was one of them. Then Dre and I went back in the studio in September for a few days, and that turned out to be six months. We were on such a roll; we wound up with a ton of new music produced by Dre. Putting out Relapse 2 will let everyone get all of the best stuff.”
The first single from Eminem’s album The Relapse was “Crack The Bottle,” which shot to #1 in iTunes’ charts, with over 415,000 downloads the first week.
The Relapse is due in stores May 19 on Interscope/Aftermath/Shady.

As Trick Daddy prepares for the release of his upcoming autobiography, he has revealed that he is also dealing with a serious health issue.
The Miami-bred rapper appeared on The Rickey Smiley Morning Show today (March 23) to promote his autobiography Magic City: Trials of a Native Son.
During the interview, he made the shocking revelation that he suffers from Lupus, an incurable autoimmune disease, which makes the immune system attacks the bodys cells and tissue.
Lupus affects all major organs in the human body, including the heart, kidneys and nervous system.
I went to the doctor like 12 years ago. He took all kinds of tests, because I was trying to get rid of what we call dry skin, she did biopsies and blood tests and swab tests. She told me I have lupus. I am allergic highly to the sun, thats my worst enemy. Its like an AK-47 with a double clip on it. I could jeopardize kidney and liver failure from the treatment and the medication.
The disease, which affects African-American and Hispanics in disproportionate numbers, particularly women.
The rapper also learned that a close female friend had the disease, when he noticed a visible change in her appearance.
A lot of people try to cover it up with regular make up. It makes your skin pigmented. You can go from dark to light and not light to dark. You have to cover it up and conceal it my mama had 11 children from 10 different men. If she can live with that I know, I can live with this.”
The disease has already taken the life of prominent Hip-Hop producer James J. Dilla Yancey, who died from complications of the disease on February 19, 2006, just three days after his 32nd birthday.
In related news, Trick Daddy also announced he has landed his first major film role in a film that begins shooting next week.
They got me playing in a movie with a lot of gangsters from The Wire and the b######## films. I can me, I can be a G in it.

On Saturday night, in Austin, TX, Kanye West electrified The Levi’s/FADER Fort at the annual SXSW Music Festival. The FADER hosted this extravagant party/concert to showcase established and emerging acts, within and outside of G.O.O.D. Music.
Interestingly enough, Rick Bawse Ross was scheduled to perform early in the evening, but canceled. The disappointment was short-lived when the celebrated Bun B of UGK came out to tear the roof off the venue. The Port Arthur, TX native ran through many of UGK’s hits, quickly raising the temperature in the crowded room.
As Bun finished his set, the newest addition to Roc-A-Fella Records took the party to Yonkers, New York. Jadakiss stampeded through a string of hits by The Lox. About three songs into his set, he brought out a special guest. His Lox brethren Styles P aka the Ghost blessed the crowd and shared the stage. The pair went back and forth with chemistry a scientist couldnt concoct.
Just as the crowd couldnt envision a more frenetic scene, the Evil Genius Green Lantern took over the wheels of steel to keep the crowd energy level high. The New York-based DJ ran through classic songs by Nas, Jay-Z, the Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang and more. Suddenly, Green Lantern said, We have a special announced performance. But, it wasnt Kanye West yet. Militancy personified, dead prez came out and performed a brief three-song set, as the stage crew continued getting the stage set for the closing act.
The lights went dark, and suddenly, the Kanye took over the stage, and ascended the fans to a higher place. After a couple of solo joints, then he brought out Consequence, a veteran artist signed to G.O.O.D. Music. They shared the stage until Kanye coolly walked off stage to allow Quence rap solo. Shortly, Kanye returned to perform “The Good, The Bad, The Ugly” with Consequence.
G.O.O.D. Music upstart GLC graced the stage for a brief outing. After GLC, Kanye introduces the crowd to Big Sean, another G.O.O.D. Music artist from Detroit that is extremely talented with the wordplay. Then, Malik Yusef takes his turn to rock the crowd with Kanye. After Big Sean and Yusef, out bounds the newest member of the G.O.O.D. Music Family, UK artist Mr. Hudson and Tony Williams, the singer who sang on Jay-Z’s “History” record. The G.O.O.D.ies just kept coming out with 88 Keys and Mr. Fonzworth Bentley both delivering notable performances.
Kid Cudi, who recently retired and un-retired, captivated the crowd with a five-song outing that included a remix to A Tribe Called Quests “Buggin Out” featuring Consequence. And when the audience was experiencing sensory overload, the atmosphere exploded when Common and Erykah Badu blessed the venue with their artistic presence. Common, Erykah Badu, and Kanye ciphered through one sick freestyle session that was met with a rousing applause.
If Hip-Hop is dying, somebody forgot to give the memo to Kanye West and his G.O.O.D. Music Family.
Below are several video clips from Kanye West and the G.O.O.D. Music Showcase at the SXSW 2009 Levi’s/FADER Fort.
