Preface: Before the hate comes, please take the time to read this full post and then bash me. I have some real honest views with real life experience to back my claims.
There is a phrase that reads, ”The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.”
I happen to like this one, The grass is always greener of the septic tank. The latter is from a book from Erma Bombeck and it is completely unrelated to the topic at hand.
Bombeck is an American novelist and very intelligent women that was (and still is) well respected.
She is an anomaly based on the women I see these days.
All this got me started when I read a post from this chick that calls herself The Single Girl. This person is my enemy, because shes polluting the world. I dont use the B-Word, but she wrote in an online dissertation the following: Fellas, if you have used this argument: Im a good dude; problem is chicks dont want a good man. Chances are you have convinced yourself that GOOD is a nice way of saying what you really are-WEAK.
G.T.F.O.H.I thought the age of Obama destroyed the myth of the good man as weak.
Here is what women do. They tell themselves that a good man = a weak man. Then, they go an get a thug, because that is how they define a real man (men do this too, pause). Then, they either 1) try to convert the thug into a good guy of some sort or 2) cry domestic abuse when her animal man beats or cheats on her.
Or, they may have been reared from a young age to desire the white picket fence, dog and 2.5 kids and get a dude that can give them the Middle Class along with the green grass. Suddenly, after a few years, they decide thats not good enough and start looking over the white fence into somebody elses yard. Now, the Jones (or the Combs) grass looks greener or the grass on TV is greener or the grass depicted in a racy novel.
Women seem to innately and naively take the most romantic movie, TV show or film and then think its supposed to translate into reality. Like, how can a guy compete with, You complete me, as once said by Tom Cruise? I mean, I would love to fly around the stars shooting up aliens like Luke Skywalker, but you dont see me trying just because Ive seen Star War a few times. Some mess just isnt realistic.
When its all wrong, women think they are the star in a real-life Terri McMillan book, or worse, a Mary J. Blige song like No More Drama.
If you get a good dude, why consider him weak? Or if you have a good dude, why discard him instead of trying to work with him?
See, believe it or not, a lot of men grasp this concept. Its called Its Cheaper To Keep Her. I know that sounds crude, but for me and the other good dudes that takes on a few meanings. One such meaning is that its just easier to work things out if you have good women down with you than going out and weeding through a bunch of coal looking for a diamond. Some dudes like coal I dont.
When you are already invested time and years into a relationship, are you going to toss that? Sure, people do it, but Im talking about the guys that I know who are going through pure hell, because they didnt take the trash out. YET, the house is a mess and your lady is on Twitter? Really?
Best believe that if you are in an extended relationship, that person you meet in the beginning is going to be a different creature after 5 years. Furthermore, the world is going to change. In my opinion, quite a lot about men remains consistent (eats, sleep, work, die), but women change more with the times, more with the world.
They also do a lot more self-analysis. Well, thats cool, but all the external stimuli (Oprah, counseling, girlfriends, books) leaves little room for ones own thoughts.
Get your mind right and lets stay together.
PS: Steve Harvey needs to have his manhood pass revoked for that book he wrote. Preying on desperate women like that for a check. SMH.

Producer Swizz Beatz (Kasseem Dean) has requested a court-approved gag order in the divorce proceedings with R&B singer Mashonda.
Upon announcement of the divorce last year, gossip columns and sites began speculating the reason for the split was due to Swizz Beatz’ alleged affair with R&B superstar Alicia Keys.
After vehemently denying the claims for months, Swizz confirmed the relationship earlier this month.
Mashonda attorney Bernard Clair criticized the request, lambasting the veteran producer for child neglect and his verse on Drake’s “Best I Ever Had Remix,” which the high-powered divorce lawyer claimed was a classless attempt to brag about the affair that allegedly ended his marriage.
Speaking to the New York Post, Clair stated the issues with the divorce and child support were “flying under the radar until Mr. Dean and Alicia Keys went public about their long-term affair and he released a song implying that he likes it when Alicia serves him breakfast naked. Now that Mr. Dean’s questionable conduct is being scrutinized, he suddenly wants a gag order and the media to be locked out?”
The former couple divorced last April after four years of marriage.
Their one child, Kasseem, Jr., was born in December 2007.
At press time, Manhattan Superior Court Justice Deborah Kaplan has not made a ruling on Swizz Beatz’s gag order request.
Nas has filed a response for Kelis’s request for divorce and has asked the court to deny the singer any sort of spousal support.
The claim was filed in Los Angeles court on Wednesday.
Kelis filed for divorce last month, claiming irreconcilable differences.
Kelis is pregnant with the couple’s first child. She is due in July.
Both parents seek joint custody of the unborn child.
Nas and Kelis were married in 2003, but didn’t go public until 2005, according to People magazine.
The murderer of rapper Dolla has admitted that he shot the gun that killed the artist, but said that the act was done in self-defense, according to his lawyer.
Howard R. Price, lawyer for 23-year-old Aubrey Louis Berry, said that he had a previous altercation with Dolla that lead to a fatal confrontation.
Price alleged, through his lawyer, that he was scared for his life when he killed Dolla and shot at two other people.
Price has since been charged with murder and a pair of assault charges related to the Monday shooting. Additionally, his bail has been raised to $5 million. Berry is slated to enter a plea on Friday, a postponement from Wednesday.
Earlier in the month, Dolla (Roderick Anthony Burton II) and Price had an altercation in an Atlanta nightclub. By pure coincidence, the two crossed paths again in Los Angeles at a P.F. Chang’s and the conflict quickly resumed. Price said that Dolla was affiliated with the Crips gang and threatened him in the restaurant bathroom.
Full details of the shooting have yet to be released and a motive has not been announced by the police.
Price was arrested with a loaded 9m handgun on him at Los Angeles International Airport.
Dolla is a rapper that was signed to Akon’s Konvict Music label and was working on his debut album.
VIDEO BATTLE OF THE WEEK:
D-Blocks Get That Paper
VS
Rick Ross Cigar Music
This weeks battle is between a pair of Hip-Hop Heavies: Rick Ross and D-Block aka The Lox.
Rick Ross has been a lightening rod of controversy for the past year or so, but the quality of the actual music speaks volumes. Jadakiss, Styles and Sheek have been the illest of the ill in Hip-Hop and continue to be with over 10 years in the game.
Rick Ross Cigar Music
Stylistically, Ross took the real Hip-Hop gritty route on Cigar Music,” which isnt even on his newest album Deeper Than Rap. Looks like the Bawse recorded a second video in Colombia when he shot All I Really Want,” in Medellin. You can see the grit of the city and get a glimpse into the life of Rick Ross and his crew.
The Bawse on a motorbike? Little Colobian kids? The streets? Melodic beats and hooks? Its right here. Check out Cigar Music.
D-Block “Get That Paper”
Aint no party like a D-Block party, because a D-Block party dont stop! And thats exactly what The Lox decided to bring to the table on their new song, Get That Paper. D-Block take their thing to Brooklyn, where they recreate a video from the late, great Biggie Smalls. Get That Paperis a departure from the rugged and raw mantra that has followed D-Block for the majority of their tenor. The guys are in rare form here, lyrically and musically. Their upcoming album is called No Security, but the crew is very secure with this one.
Check out Get That Paper.
Independent powerhouse label Duck Down has announced their most recent coup in the acquisition of Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, and Sean Price as the super group Random Axe.
Random Axe marks the fourth major signing announcement by Duck Down in less than a month.
The label has also secured deals with Marco Polo and Torae for the album Double Barrel (June 2), Skyzoo and 9th Wonders The Salvation project (August 11), and newcomers Team Facelift.
In an exclusive interview with AllHipHop.com, Duck Down CEO Dru Ha praised the multi-faceted talent of Detroits Black Milk, and declared uninitiated fans will be blown away by the forthcoming album.
It’s an exciting time for Duck Down with all of these new signings and up coming releases. There are never too many Sean Price projects for us [and his fans] and combining his powers with Guilty and Black Milk makes for a formidable unit, Dru Ha told AllHipHop.com. We’ve been in talks with Hex (Black and Guilty’s Manager) about this album for over a year now so to see it come to fruition is just another blessing for the label.
Dru Ha is excited about Black Milks potential, stating that the artist had the potential to become as of a star as rapper Kanye West.
Black’s production is earth quaking: from his drums, to his sample game to his ability to play and arrange live music, Dru Ha continued. His vision to craft a song and skills on the mic should be taken note of. [I] can’t wait to see where he takes this project with Sean and Guilty.
Milk, who released 2008s well-received Tronic LP, verified that album is nearly finished.
As the debut projects sole producer, the Detroit native explained he would bring, innovative, harder variations to his style to accommodate band mates Guilty Simpson and Sean Price.
Its more than halfway done. We got about three or four more cuts to do, Black Milk stated. Its going to be [just] dirt rhymes and hard ass beats. People are going to feel it. [Its going] to be another part of my production; still the sh*t that I do but just flipping it in a different way. Cats will like it.
At press time, the untitled Random Axe album is expected to drop in 2009s third or fourth quarter.video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsfree video player
