Curren$y's Jet Life Crew Announce Innovative BitTorrent Mixtape Bundle & New Tour

(AllHipHop News) New Orleans rapper Curren$y is known for his tireless work ethic that has produced nearly twenty projects, including seven mixtapes, in the last four years. So it only makes sense that he and his Jet Life International brand are set to redefine the way free digital albums are presented.

Jet Life is partnering with BitTorrent to produce the “Jet Life BitTorrent Bundle.” The downloadable package with feature a new mixtape from Curren$y and the Jet Life crew, HD video content, interactive tour promotional materials, an interactive Jet Life Apparel catalog, and exclusive contest opportunities. As an added bonus, the Hip Hop collective will also make their entire mixtape catalog available to stream on soundcloud.com.

“This partnership presents an opportunity for us to advance our BitTorrent Bundle Alpha program and create a new transmedia tool for connecting with and rewarding fans. For BitTorrent, this is also an amazing opportunity to work with up-and-coming artists and help give them exposure to a mass audience in a unique way,” said Matt Mason, Vice President of Marketing at BitTorrent.

Jet Life has also revealed members of the crew will be heading out on a new nationwide tour starting August 26th in Houston. “The Red Eye Tour” will be the first headlining trek for Jets Corner Boy P, Fiend, and Young Roddy.

“By consistently releasing new music and videos for free download to the Jet Life audience, we have built an army of loyal fans that support and spread the Jet Life movement, allowing us to regularly sell out clubs and theaters around the world,” said Mousa Hamdan, Jet Life International president and artist manager.

The “Jet Life BitTorrent Bundle” will be available on July 30th at Bundles.BitTorrent.com.
