“Problem,” Azalea’s collaboration with Ariana Grande, moved up to number one this week on the Pop Songs and Rhythmic Songs charts. With the single replacing “Fancy”- also by Azalea – on the Pop chart, it puts the Australian performer in rare company. According to Billboard, she joins only Mariah Carey and OutKast in accomplishing the feat of replacing herself at number one on that tally.
“Fancy” is currently at number one on the main Hot 100 chart with “Problem” at number two. That chart will be updated on Wednesday. Azalea’s “Fancy” leads the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts as well. Her collab with T.I. “No Mediocre” is also a top ten rap song.
Azalea previously etched her name into chart history when “Fancy” and “Problem” held the top two spots on the Hot 100. That made Iggy the first artist since the Beatles in 1964 to have her first two charting singles be #1 and #2 simultaneously. She also became only the fourth female rapper to log a number one Hot 100 single after Lauryn Hill, Lil Kim, and Shawnna.
