New England Sweetwater Farm & Distillery, renowned for its exceptional handcrafted whiskey creations, is proud to announce its exciting expansion into the heart of Washington, DC on June 24. 

Sisters, Alisa Lawrence and Nilaja Young, the visionaries behind New England Sweetwater Farm & Distillery, are thrilled to bring their passion for whiskey and culinary innovation to the vibrant culinary scene of the nation’s capital. To celebrate this momentous occasion, owners Alisa & Nilaja will host a Whiskey and dessert tasting crafted in collaboration with acclaimed Food Network Champion Tiffany Lightfoot. 

“As a whiskey maker, I’ve always been captivated by the idea of pairing our unique flavors with pastry-making and I’m thrilled to know this will be nothing less than a magical experience,” said Young.

The tasting promises an unparalleled sensory experience, inviting restaurant enthusiasts and whiskey connoisseurs alike to embark on a journey of taste and texture. Infused cupcakes were an idea born to create memorable sensory experiences for food and beverage enthusiasts. The event features a delectable infusion of New England Sweetwater’s finest Maple and Honey whiskeys along with a conversation on economic opportunities for women and African Americans in the spirits industry.

The Black ribbon-cutting ceremony presented by Good Juice DC will feature a gathering of esteemed local bakers, culinary influencers, and community leaders. Guests can savor the inaugural batch of signature cupcakes while enjoying complimentary tastings, music and remarks by the area’s esteemed hospitality community members and special guests.
