Spotify recently hosted its first-ever Feelin’ Myself fashion show in Los Angeles.
The fashion event celebrated the contributions of women in Hip Hop and fashion.
From signature cocktails, vibes curated by DJ Jadaboo, and unique styles, the night did not disappoint.
Highlights of the evening included the Queen Bee, Lil Kim, being honored for her legendary contributions, a special runway presentation from LIONNE by Latoia Fitzgerald, and performances from Baby Tate, BIA and Coi Leray, who are some of this generation’s most stylish women in Hip Hop.
Lil Kim was presented with the Women in Hip Hop Fashion Icon Award by Spotify’s Sulinna Ong (Global Head of Editorial), Carl Chery (Head of Urban Music) and Domo Wells (Editor of Culture Curation). The Hip Hop Queen was honored for her influence on music and fashion.
As a true trailblazer, Lil Kim has been the face of Women in Hip Hop, opening the door for other women to succeed in the male-dominated genre. Her influence has certainly transcended music into fashion and beyond. Kim has been credited with some of the most iconic looks in fashion history.
LIONNE’s Latoia Fitzgerald also received the Women in Hip Hop Rising Designer Award.
The runway even saw appearances from Doechii, Rubi Rose and Baby Tate who all showcased their model struts in LIONNE.
Just when guests thought the evening had turned into a cool mixer, Coi Leray kicked the energy back up with an electrifying performance.
Other notable guests in attendance included Saucy Santana, Tinashe, Karrueche, Amber Wagner, Cleotrapa, Markell Washington, Brittany Sky, Maiya The Don, Pink Pantheress and more.
